Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Fantastic setting.
Room was expensive for what it was. Cocktails were inconsistent when made by different bar staff. Robes were tiny. I’m 6’2” and broad. Left nothing to the imagination. 😂😂😂

Excellent location. Really peaceful. Lovely bedroom with very comfortable 4-poster. Good tea facilities. Bar menu is great and good value for money. The drawing room and bar are lovely spaces... Walled garden is a must-see - almost didn't....
The main restaurant menu doesn't really work value-wise for a vegetarian. The bar food is great but I ran out of choices on a 3-night stay. Some staff were extraordinarily helpful, others weren't really interested. Lights left on outside all night is a shame - dark skies are such a joy....

We could only check in until 4 we arrived when their was a wedding booking in we were told we could not eat or have a drink until Weeding party went for their food, that morning we went for breakfast after breakfast we could not sit down they were preparing for another wedding, also my Understanding we were staying in the castle, we were bought Outside to a house that was not attached to castle very disappointed. Therefore we taught it was not value for money their was a lot of cobwebs on Window and bathroom ceiling I also found a bug on the floor, the grounds around the castle were amazing so were staff.

Secluded in the beautiful countryside. You will enjoy peace and tranquility this place has to offer.Enterior and exterior of the house is absolutely stunning!Manicured gardens too.Food was good!
There is no kettle, tea or coffee in the room.Service varied from excellent to poor. Not consistent across the board. When booking make sure you request the room with lake view in the original Manor house because there is an annex to the building.Bar was shut too early, and there seems to be no service earlier in the day. .

Everything was amazing, from the minute we walked into the Castle, we were met with such a friendly atmosphere. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast the next morning in the hotel and even the toast was amazing!! Our room was very comfy, spacious and warm! I would highly recommend this hotel for all occasions! All staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful and all up for a chat!
There was nothing I didn’t like

Efficient service, warm and welcoming staff. The reception staff were very chatty and engaging. The staff welcomed both members of the party to the accommodation. I was shown to the room by one of the receptionist. The staff throughout the establishment are an asset. We both had dinner on the night, high quality, excellent staff and great quality food. I will definitely be a return visitor.

The attentive staff and level of detail was impeccable. From the moment we arrived we felt valued, cared for, and comfortable. The welcome felt like going back in time as a guest at somewhere like Downton Abbey. The castle gardens and grounds are stunning - we just wish we had more time to explore them.
Our shower was set up so that when you turned it on, the whole spray went over the tub and as a result flooded our bathroom floor. A small notice saying that we need to adjust the spray before turning on the water would have saved using all our towels to mop up the excess water (or any water damage).

Magical hotel in breathtaking location. The gardens and grounds were stunningly beautiful and a welcome respite after a few nights in Dublin. The 5 course dinner was exceptional. The casual lunch, available in any public space in the hotel, was delicious as was the breakfast, included in the room rate. It was confusing at first to find our rooms, but that added to the overall mystery of this cavernous, sprawling building. Couldn't recommend more!

It's a really stunning setting within beautiful grounds. The hotel itself is luxurious with ornately decorated historic rooms. There are plenty of attentive staff to help you. A casual Lunch in the drawing room was very nice and dinner in the restaurant was a wow. A 5 course tasting menu of excellently prepared and cooked food. Breakfast was also good.
WiFi was extremely poor, and the telephone signal not great. It's definitely something worth the hotel investing in improving!

The staff was wonderful, so friendly and helpful! The room and grounds were very lovely. The beds were exceptionally comfortable.
Essentially there was no Wifi as the listing indicated. Our building wouldn't even show a network and the main building showed a network but would never connect. We did ask the staff about it a few times (wanting to confirm there was wifi at the building with our room and the main building network issues) and they always blamed it on the rural location, weather, etc. A bit of a bummer we were never able to get on Wifi as we didn't have cell service while traveling abroad. Additionally, the listing indicated air conditioning in the room and ours didn't appear to have A/c or it wasn't working. Thankfully it wasn't too hot, but the room did get a bit warm and turning down the thermostat did nothing. There was a small fan provided so we made use of that.
