Stayed here for a few nights in July with our 18 month old son and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty for us all to do and we loved the soft play sensory room. Great option for an hour or 2 when the rain came in. Loved the fairy trail also which we stumbled upon whilst out for a walk. Pool was great too. Food was all excellent. Every member of staff that we encountered were friendly and welcoming. We will certainly be back.

The rooms are lovely how they've been done up but the carpet in our room was quite tired and well worn. It's a light colour so a lot of marks on it too. And also, robes would have been handy in the rooms for going down to the pool. It's a lot easier to get changed in the comfort of your room rather than the changing rooms. I had the baby in with me and couldn't really set him anywhere whilst i got changed. There was a little enclosed baby area on the floor but it looked a bit dirty and also everyone had been throwing their towels in there when they were finished so didn't want to set him in there. These are just small gripes and didn't take away from the experience.

The food is incredible - great choice and lovely friendly staff and great service. Return visit for me as lived it so much before. Two nice restaurants and a cocktail bar. Well equipped gym and easy to get appointments in the spa. Beautiful grounds to explore. Very comfy bed and good bedding.

I paid more for a better room - but although it was bigger it was much further away and although the bathroom was huge, the shower was small with a non adjustable shower head and awful spray - worst shower ever! Controls are under the overhead spray so you get soaked and either frozen or scalded before you can adjust. I had to just use the bath. Would stay in a normal double room next time which are lovely. Please please install adjustable shower heads in all showers!!!!

We were at the wedding here and the staff involved in this were very helpful and went above and beyond. Place was clean, nice food and grounds were well kept.

I booked this room for a relative as another relative had booked me a double room for their wedding. The double room was extremely hot at night (26.5 degrees) despite windows and curtains being left open at all times (and sometimes the door also) and no air con. It was very difficult to sleep for this reason. When I noted this at reception when checking just so that they were aware of this for future guests especially on even warmer/hotter days, the staff member did not like this criticism and just said that there is no air con in the room. I feel all rooms should have air-conditioning or a fan should be automatically included in rooms where there is no air con

Very tasty evening meal in the main restaurant. Good selection on the menu which would cater for most people. Lots of choice at breakfast, continental, buffet of hot food and also choice of pancakes, eggs etc on menu. Room was lovely, comfortable, had everything you would need. Lovely bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Our wee girl liked the wee shop in the hotel and bought herself some wee toys in it. Also sells papers, jewellery, nic naks etc.

Our beds were a bit small. Our own fault as we booked it last minute and I didn't check the bed size. But it was comfortable and I would have slept the very best if I wasn't sharing it!

We really enjoyed our stay. I found the staff at reception were so helpful. We were over for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary, and they placed a card and chocolates in their room on request. Also, at dinner, they did a plate up saying happy anniversary when I requested nothing was any hassle. The rooms were fabulous, and the spa was top class . Myself and my mother had a treatment, and it was fab. It was my parents' 1st time in the hotel, and they will surely b back. We also enjoyed the music in the bar it added to the night.

We found the bar was very slow at serving, and the restaurant was slow serving, too. Although our food was very good when we got it.

Everything, hence the reason we keep returning. I had badly burnt my hand the evening before we arrived at the hotel. It was very sore the afternoon we arrived and Stephen the bar Manager went above and beyond for me. He spoke to a first aider in the Hotel and came to me with ice pack, burn gel and gauze dressings which helped immensely. Stephen always remembers us when we visit and makes sure the wine I like which is only available in the dining room is brought to the bar for me. Please pass on my thanks to him for looking after me so well.

Absolutely nothing we didn't like.

I stayed at the Slieve Russell as I was conducting a wedding there the following day. What a beautiful hotel and despite being a large establishment there was always the personal touch. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The food was fabulous. I took a stroll round the gardens in the morning and they were beautifully maintained. I came home and told my husband we were going back for a weekend break! Highly recommended.

The bed was slightly firm but nonetheless I had a good night’s sleep

We stayed 2 nights for my partners Birthday...the highlight being live piano playing for the 2 hours of our meal in the Conall Cearnach Restaurant...beautiful instrumental...My Cavan Girl among others. Most spacious hotel, large lounge areas, facilities for non golfers and children. Choice of Breakfast in 2 separate restaurants...table service only in one....very considerate for those with mobility issues or if a busy buffet is too much to handle first thing in the morning! Stunning views over the Golf Course from the Summit Restaurant...more than the rated 4.5 Stars...with a beautiful large Garden area designed by Paul Martin...just loved this.

Couldn't fault it.

Everything. The staff all friendly and accommodating. The food was top quality. Rooms were lovely, clean. The place is very family orientated and they were so accommodating when it came to kids. The facilities for kids were great. Plenty to do to get their day in. The gardens are gorgeous.

The place is massive, so it was a hike and a half getting from our room to the restaurants, pool, etc, especially with a 3 Yr old who doesn't want to walk and being 7 months pregnant. I'm sure if I knew this in advance about the distance to the room, they would have moved us if we asked. It's a little pricey for a 4 star, IMO I'm sure it was a one-off, but our first night, the fire alarm went off a few times at 2:30am. Made the next day for us dreadful with an over tired toddler and parents.

How spacious, clean it was, the beautiful grounds lots of disabled parking beside the main entrance

I had mobility problems, heart failure, advanced COPD & a tumour on my left lung. I do use a mobility scooter but because this was a wedding we were attending I decided to make do with my crutches, which was a bad idea. At the time of booking I did state about my mobility problems & asked if I could get a room near to the lift. I was given room 606 on the ground floor which with my pace of walking was well in advance of over 150 steps for me & I had to walk it to & from the room just to get fresh air. & I had to do this several times in the day that left me not enjoying the wedding. The whole experience exhausted me so much that I had to go to sleep in tie room to gather all my energy up.
