The room was lovely, with timber beams. It was immaculate; super clean. My bathroom was huge. The room was comfortable. I asked for an iron ahead of arriving and I was waiting for me along with an ironing board when I got to my room. Little touches like a reed diffuser in the bathroom and the way the facecloth was fanned out took it another level. The location was perfect. 1 min from the river and in the heart of the old town. The reception was open for a limited amount of time but the communication on how to check in was good. You'll just need to make sure you have access to your email if booking online. I would definitely stay here again.

It was really hot at night but I may well have been provided with a fan had I asked for one. I had my own little electric one so was ok. You can hear the restaurant patrons outside so if you prefer somewhere quiet, the old town might not be the place for you during tourist season.

Great location in Heidelberg Oldtown. Lots of great cafes and restaurants within the vicinity. Most of the points of interest for tourists are within a 5-minute walk - the Old Bridge, the Church of the Holy Spirit and the furnicular to go up to the Schloss Heidelberg.

This is really minor, but during the check-in, we were expecting to receive more information from the reception, such as the breakfast option, the wifi password and the check-out time. We were only given the key and room location and had to come back for more info.

The room was beautiful, modern, spacious and clean. We had a wonderful view out the window. It was great being able to walk to and across the amazing pedestrian bridge, to restaurants, shops, museums, and the famous Heidelberg Castle. This old town is lovely and historical and it was a nice stay. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel because it was too expensive for us and we found wonderful options nearby to walk to. A fridge with cold drinks (extra cost) was available in the room. Two bottles of water were also provided on the desk, but at an extra cost. It would have been nice to have at least one complimentary bottle of water upon arrival. We were very glad that there was an elevator up to the upper floors! Remember to check-in with the hotel before arriving to get a PIN number to open the door. Once inside, you get your room keys in an envelope with your name, on a table in the hall.

We did not like how noisy this area is at night for sleeping! We understand it is a University Town, but people were shouting and banging all through the middle of the night until at least 3 a.m. We had to close our windows the second night to block out some of the sound and that prevented us from enjoying the nice night fresh air. We also did not like the pillows, but that is personal preference. We found them too big and puffy. The shower had great pressure and hot water, but remember to keep the spout pointed towards the back wall while washing! For some reason, a lot of water spilled out onto the floor within a few minutes of my shower being on. It leaked out from the front door where it closes. The only other thing we could have used was more towels in the room.

Fantastic location in the middle of the old town and within walking distance of pretty much anything. The rooms were very quiet despite the central location. Another highlight was the breakfast buffet, with copious amounts of fresh bread, meats, smoked salmon, cheeses, fruits, yoghurt, cereal, chef-made eggs, decent coffee and excellent service (albeit not exactly cheap at €20).

We had a room right under the roof which was heated a bit too generously, however, we were able to turn the heat down ourselves.

The hotel was centrally located in the shopping and restaurant area. Room was lovely, chairs and a desk, large bathroom. Comfortable beds. Fabulous breakfast buffet style, and your choice of custom made omelette, eggs etc. One block from the promenade on the river and other sights. You can also reserve in their restaurant for evening. Many other restaurants are within 1 block of the hotel. Staff were wonderful. It was a 30 min direct flat walk from train station, through the lively shopping area, but there is a bus/tram if you don't want to walk. We got the direct 1 hr ICE train from Frankfurt. We loved this hotel and the breakfast room and all the beautiful finishings. We will be back!

The hotel doesn’t have AC but they gave us a small fan and it seemed to keep the room cooler. We didn't think AC would be needed in mid Oct. The windows opened at night for fresh air but it let the bugs in so a screen would be needed. The weather was hotter (25) than usual in mid Oct so AC might be in the future a necessity.

The location was great, right in the center. It was a clean hotel and also had a good restaurant.

Street noise in the morning and evening might disturb sensitive guests. These days, is there really still a hotel at this price without a kettle or coffee machine? There wasn’t one here. Also, there was no luggage stand, and I didn’t see any air conditioning—just a fan, which could be an issue during hot weather.

We went for the Christmas markets and the location was perfect. A quiet side street steps from the Hauptstraße and markets. Our room was spacious and bright with two windows. Bathroom was modern and clean and beds were comfortable. The restaurant onsite is wonderful and we dined in one night as well as having breakfast there twice. The breakfast was excellent with a wide array of items and cooked to order eggs. The overall feeling was that we actually lived there rather than being in a hotel.

Not a criticism, but more of a general comment—Our room was on the second floor and we noticed the floor was warm which heated the room enough that we turned off all other heat sources. Okay in the winter but it could be maybe too warm in summer. There was a fan available however. Also there is no lobby area as the downstairs is all restaurant , so we opted for a larger room with a seating area so we’d have a place to relax.

Very clean, perfect location, everything you need for a solo travel. Check-in and out was also super easy and took almost no time. It was fairly hot outside and there was a ventilator in the room, which I didn’t expect beforehand. It was thus a pleasant stay.

Only thing I can criticize is that the bedding (het dekbed) was a bit small.

This was a fabulous place to stay - clean and well appointed room with fabulous balcony looking out onto the street. Location was perfect - a short walk to all the attractions of the old town, close to the river and famous bridge, which meant it was easy to pop in and out of the accomodation during my stay. Add to this the gorgeous building, restaurant and friendly staff...you should definitely stay here!!

I didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there are nearby bakeries that are delicious (only a 3 min walk away on the main street). Location was amazing, less than a minute from the main street and only ~2 blocks from the marktplatz. Close to the bridge, church, and not very far from the schloss.

Would've loved some aircon in the room. There was a fan, but I only found it when packing up the room! (it was in the wardrobe and i hadn't used it)
