Super convenient and perfect for our needs. My son and I were in town for a family wedding. The room was just perfectly fine - but everything was very comfortable and clean, the bed linens and towels were crisp and fluffy. Communication with the staff about our need for slightly out of the ordinary checking in details was all very clear and easy. All in all this is a place I would easily recommend.

The place was more of a motel than an inn. I expected a bit more charm based on the name and the website, but for us this was not at all an issue.

Price and location. The room met expectations, very clean, comfortable beds and exceptionally fluffy bath towels which we loved. Parking right outside each door, set far enough back from the main road insured the place was quiet. SUPRISE BONUS - complimentary potato chips, popcorn, chocolate bars and carbonated water!

I’d say the bathroom vanity - the position and size of the sink to the faucet gave very little room to wash your hands - the sink was a gorgeous large freestanding bowl, however the faucet sat too far back. The ledge above the sink was so large, protruding far over the sink, causing you to bang your head on it every time you bent down over the sink to brush your teeth. Strange setup but it looked great. Seriously everything else was really great!

Easy check in and check out! Room was a good size as was the bathroom. Soap (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion) smelled good. Enjoyed the complementary snacks. Good shower water pressure and drain was not clogged like I’ve experienced at other Inns.

Only dislike was the shower curtain. It didn’t have weights at the bottom, so the water pressure from the shower head would sometimes blow the curtain inward and it would stick to me which I did not like and then had to re wash and be conscious of where I stood.

While the location was right where I needed it to be, the main reason for my high rating was the interior decor and luxuries. The exterior was pleasant and looked well maintained, but the interior was really impressively up-to-date, with ample power outlets, a very modern shower (with powerful water flow), and high quality sheets and towels. The towels, in fact, were very thick and absorbent - maybe the best I've ever seen in a motel. (I stay in motels and hotels almost 60 nights a year.)

The pre-arrival text messages initially gave the impression the proprietor did not welcome visitors. This was misleading, but they need to reconsider their wording. Additionally, the door-security system was excellent, but again, the preliminary pre-arrival info did NOT make it clear: there was NO key, but the pass code worked on the door's keypad perfectly every time. They need to state how this works BEFORE the person arrives, so that it's clear we (arriving people) do not actually need to meet anyone at reception.

The rooms have clearly been lovingly renovated recently. The staff were so helpful and kind-- they even reached out to us to let us know that they didn't have an elevator and ask if we needed a ground floor room (which we did, so that was very much appreciated!). Everything was so clean and the bathroom was especially so cool!

It's a small thing, but the bed frames had metal panels to the floor, and there wasn't much room underneath. We keep kicking them and they would make a small 'boom' each time 😂 I wish they had breakfast!

Convenient location, close to several coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations. Great for visiting Acadia without Bar Harbor prices. Very homey, doesn’t feel like a corporate chain, didn’t see any staff but they were very communicative via text.

Can hear everything outside - voices, footsteps, suitcases. Not too bad as all guests were respectful and did their best to minimize noises during odd hours. Door handle was a bit broken with a note.

The rooms were clean, well-appointed (for a reasonably priced motor inn) and comfortable. We weren't expecting luxury at this price so we were pleasantly surprised with the overall quality. We've stayed in a lot worse places for more money, so this one's an obvious choice for a return visit, next time we're riding through the area. The beds were decent, the mini-fridge was pretty spacious, and there was plenty of space in the room. Check in was easy - they texted me the access codes for the rooms early in the afternoon on check-in day, and because I'd paid in advance we didn't need to check out, we just got on the bikes and rode away. Plenty of parking, and the building is set well back from the busy Route 1 so road noise wasn't a problem. Easy access to fast food, shopping, gas and coffee. Downtown Ellsworth was also an easy half-mile / 15 minute walk. If you stay here, definitely check out Airline Brewing on Main Street!

Overall I would stay there again no doubt! As a critique I would say that it can be a bit noisy in the mornings if trying to sleep in, and a strong fragrance was being diffused in the room that we had to try and fan out (it smelled good but it was just too overpowering). You could tell that the staff just went the extra mile though!

Cleanliness. Very clean with an extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom has been updated with a modern shower (no tub in my room, which is fine for me). It is within walking distance of two supermarkets, multiple stores, and several restaurants. The price, for in-season, is very fair. This place is great for a single traveler.

While the bathroom is big, the other room is extremely small and dark; only two small windows. Stairs (I was on the second story) are a bit slippery in the rain BE CAREFUL! I was alone, but if my girlfriend had been with me, this room is too small.
