The hotel was easily found, and being in the centre of the town any shops needed were very close. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and well presented, it was of a good size. The evening meal menu was of fairly standard pub fare which suited us well, and was very well prepared from wood quality components. Breakfast was also very good. The hotel had a busy bar which appeared to be popular with the locals. The rooms were well away from the bar so were very quiet.
We chose this hotel partly because one of us has limited mobility and it offered car parking. However, we never saw a free space there and those cars that were parked there were often blocked in by others parked behind them so it was perhaps as at we were unable to get in there. Fortunately there is a large free car park about four minutes walk away. We were given only one key which had to be inserted into a slot in the room to allow lights to be tuned on. This meant that If one of us wanted to leave the hotel we had to ask a member of staff to unlock the door from the bar to the residential area.

Food was very good ,staff were very friendly and helpful and cheerful good choice of breakfast we had an evening meal with family and friends all had various meals and all said the same meal was very good
The days we were there it was very hot around 32 degrees we got back to our room at night it was stifling heat we had left curtains down and window slightly down to try and keep it cool, unfortunately with the window partly open at night the noise from refrigeration plant at Iceland shop next door was really loud which made it hard to sleep. The hotel kitchen extractor fans switched off at 9-30 pm so it wasn’t coming from there. Would not stop there again because of this not the hotels fault .

This hotel has improved year on year. A group of us come and stay for the Love Supreme Festival in Glynde. This year, I had a twin room - one of the beds was super comfortable. The other bed could do with a new mattress as it was a bit soft but overall good for a few days. The twin room we had included a large bathroom with disabled access shower. We didn't need it but it would be great for someone who needs it.
Perhaps you could check the mattress to see if it needs replacing. It wasn't dreadful but it was much softer than the other bed but honestly hard to fault the Crown!

I stay in this hotel whenever I am down near this way for work, it's convenient in terms of check-in & out times as well as having the side entrance for night-time. It's also convenient regarding the location.
There is no sound protection once in your room, the doors shut very heavily causing disturbance throughout the night with other guests entering & leaving their rooms.

The room was clean but would benefit from a deep clean. The beds were comfortable and it was all good. There was a good selection for breakfast. It’s cheaper if you book the night before, although, on our second night we were charged the extra. I told them to put the overcharge in their charity box.
It could have been deep cleaned e.g, net curtains.

Hotel has been done up since I stayed 4 years ago and also rebranded from the Corn Hill Exchange. It is SO much nicer now. Lovely staff and clean rooms. Breakfast was great value for money. Good portions and cooked well. Really easy to check in. Really easy to check out. Was asked twice during my stay if I needed anything. Felt really safe here too. We came for the weekend for a festival in Glynde Place - was easy to get from here and back with no drama.
Absolutely minor - the mattress had a small dip in the middle but it did not spoil my sleep or stay at all. Perhaps one to think about replacing in the near future.

Breakfast - freshly cooked to order. Good selection of items to choose from. 2 restaurant areas - 1 for general public & 1 for hotel guests Friendly & helpful staff
In our room, a single bed would have helped more than the double sofa bed, which took up so much room but appreciate some guests need the extra bed space.

Hotel was right in middle of town so good location. Shops, supermarkets and leisure centre all virtually on the doorstep. Hotel was clean and tidy, room was spacious, breakfast was lovely, never had meals so cannot say. Staff was cheery and very helpful, went above and beyond to help you. Thank you Fraser and Jolly. A big 10 stars from us. We will be back next time we are in area again.
There was nothing we can say.

This is a VERY charming small village where most of the retailers are small independent shops and only a few big chain shops - and then in smaller and more discreet versions. The hotel is located in the town centre, with check-in in the pub and with the choice of entering the hotel through the pub or a separate entrance, only a few steps from the carpark.
Being on the ground floor, I did experience a bit of noise from people coming and going late at night (between 22:00 and midnight), but funnily enough, I never heard a sound from the pub it self!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They changed my room when I asked for a room with a bath at no extra cost and no fuss. The bed was very comfy. Breakfast was REALLY GOOD. Cereal, fruit and croissants available, juices too. Fresh, hot and tasty English breakfast which was a good size portion. Would definitely return!! Thanks 😊
One of the bedside lights didn't work.
