Excellent location and very clean. 5 min walk to the beach and main restaurants. Supermarket 2 min walk away. Staff by the pool were very friendly, excellent with kids, and managed the pool area brilliantly. Good self-catering facilities in the apartment. Overall excellent value for money.

Balcony was a bit small, and there was a bird nest on the balcony, which made quiet a mess. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom.

Reception closed when we arrived and then had to wait until 4. Not good when you arrive at 1.30.

Super clean apartment with comfortable beds and modern facilities with everything you need for a trip to the fabulous Alvor. Location was perfect with so many restaurants on the doorstep. The pool is ideal for families as well as being very organised by the amazing staff. In addition to this there is a wonderful supermarket on the doorstep with tonnes of high quality fresh food to stock up on. The apartments are so warm and welcoming with lots of the guest's having returned for years and years. We can see why this is a very special place.

The only small negative is that our apartment did not have an oven which would have been useful for things like pizza etc.

Excellent location with fab local restaurants/snack bars nearby along with a big Intermache. Fast and efficient check in, Sandra was very helpful and got us checked in early after an early morning flight, this was really appreciated. Pool is excellent, very well organised and plenty of sunbeds etc. Good WiFi in the apartment along with microwave, kettle, toaster, washing machine, clothes horse - very well equipped.

No air conditioning in the bedroom made it very difficult to get a good night's sleep unfortunately. There was a fan but it wasn't enough. Living area is air conditioned so we took turns sleeping out there. It would be our only negative really.

Our stay at Dunas do Alvor was fantastic. Our new found friend Sandra, in the office was very,very helpful and friendly. Pool staff were very good as well. Cleaning ladies, very efficient. Apartment exceeded our expectations. Kitchen facilities had everything we needed, grocery store close by, beach is a short walk, 10 min. And Old town area is walkable as well. Nice to have free parking at the facility as well. We are all elderly and the walking was not an issue. Had an issue with our TV and staff replced it in 5 minutes. We will definitely return.

Our apartment was over a bar, restaurant and it was a little noisy in the evening, especially if you wanted an early night, I'd imagine that could be a problem in July and August.Also getting transport with a baby seat was hard as not illegal in Portugal to carry children without a car seat.Overall we had a fantastic holiday in Alvor and we would definitely return to Dunas do Torralvor.

The apartment cleanliness was exceptional. The pool area is well managed with lots of available sun beds at any time of day. There are bars, restaurants and a large supermarket within a few minutes walk. At roughly 10 minutes walk to the town centre and similar to the beach means the Dunas is in a great location.

The reception is only open at limited times, this isn’t a big problem and the pre-travel paperwork is very clear but early and late arrivals will need to plan ahead to get access to their rooms.

The apartment was really spacious and was spotlessly clean. It was also very well equipped with all the necessary kitchen appliances, including a washing machine. There was an extra supply of towels and linen provided, but the cleaning staff also came half way through our stay to change the beds & towels. The Dunas complex is situated in a fantastic location, close to a large supermarket, the main taxi rank & bus stop and is only a short walk from both the beach and Alvor town centre. It has an excellent pool area which is well maintained with lots of snack bars and cafes nearby.

Our apartment overlooked a bar & restaurant which could be noisy at times at night, but this didn’t really bother us as we were out ourselves.

It was a lovely safe place to stay restaurants and bars within the complex offered various types of food really good choices the pool was amazing and everything was spotlessly clean

In short we had a late flight and we enquired about keeping our room on to later in the day but were told that they were fully booked which is understandable and we accepted that but when it came to check out time there was nowhere to leave our luggage and no where to wash and change for our journey home so basically we lost the whole last day we had to sit in the shade until our 5.30 pm pickup

Apartment wasn't quite ready when we arrived. We were able to leave our bags at reception and get some lunch. We were taken to our apartment by receptionist. Explained everything, access to building, access to pool area etc. Had a problem with toaster, keep tripping fuse box. Reported it and came back later in day, to a new toaster. Cleaning and linen was every four days. Couldn't fault the cleaning at all. Very close to town and beach.
