We loved the retreat. Situated in beautiful grounds, we had the room n°9 situated right at the end, which was wonderful. Nice big, clean & comfortable room and lovely terrace with a hamac, to lie and listen to the waterfall and frogs, insects Good breakfast & fantastic veggie food in the restaurant in the evening (a special ++ for the coconut ceviche) Staff very friendly & welcoming Pool warm and big enough to have a good swim And situated in a beautiful region

Nothing with the hotel. But in the region we expected to find more hiking trails, but very difficult to find places to have a real hike (this is valuable for all the places we visited in Puerto Rico, except for El Yunque and a couple of trails we managed to find)

The location was incredible - a bit remote, but that was the point. When you are at Casa Grande, you are far away from the stresses of everyday life, secluded in the mountains with the sound of animals and the waterfall below. The food was good too, especially the breakfast. Dinner was good too but unremarkable. The breakfast, however was delicious, especially the pancakes and the tofu scramble (all vegan food - I am not vegan but still enjoyed it a lot).

No WiFi and limited cell service - however this added to the peaceful secluded vibe. Also could have a couple more chairs at the pool

Very quiet, beautiful surroundings, waterfalls, stunning river scenery. Nice temterture

Room was on their laundry, smelly and noisy. Food was not our taste, even my wife is vegetarian. No spice. I got very sick from a mushroom BLT. I asked the staff I'm the mushrooms are fresh prepared, she assured me every thing the serve was fresh. After the meal I got very sick to my problems with warm-ups mushrooms. The mushrooms where fresh when they prepared them proboly a day before and warmed the up in the morning. It happened to me several times in live, that is why I ask.

-connection with a nature. Amazing surroundings to relax - free yoga lessons each day from 8:30 - the breakfast was very tasteful. We had it included in our reservation and it was a really good choice. You have included one plate and juice. Coffee, tea and water are available mosty during the day and free of charge. The portions are ok and we left always full. I loved cornmeal bowl!! -spotless - employees were amazing starting with Jeannete (it was my Birthday and they put a small candle on my dessert after I reminded myself though), Cathy, Elizabeth and a young guy (waitor) and other waitress. It felt very welcoming and warmhearted. Thank you so much all!

-this place deserves 10 no matter what, the points below are just small things to take into consideration and someone may find them useful -all plates should be available for breakfast if they are included in our reservation. However , there is one limitation, you cannot ask for Chunky toast. - no fridge in the room but they had no problem to give us a bit of ice or store our food in the fridge/wine -get ready for curvy roads. I would prefer this place for a short stay. Not a good spot to discover the beaches or Mayaguez.

Loved the location set in the midst of the lush mountains. Everyone there was so nice! The rooms / casitas were adorable and I loved being able to hear the forest sounds in the evenings. The stay was good for body, soul and mind. I would love to return to unwind again as I have been able to do during my wonderful stay!

For transparency and to avoid confusion / disappointment: It would have been nice to see what the view from the room would be during the reservation process. I had booked a room with garden view, but there was no garden view as the house was located right up against the hillside. On the hammock however I did see a couple of mountain peaks which was nice!

Absolutely beautiful location with fantastic gardens and hiking trails. The view was outstanding. We could have stared at it forever. The spring fed swimming pool is lovely. Some of the best food I’ve had in Puerto Rico.

Our second morning someone started working at around 6:30 am. It was so quiet except for this person dropping buckets (or something like that) and generally making a bit too much noise, too early. Nothing crazy, but it woke us both up for a while.

I didn’t feel there was a lot to do. I tried to join the yoga class - there wasn’t any space for me to join. I would assume if that is the only activity going on there would be enough space for all guests. I wish there was more selection or variety in food.

Loved the location in the mountains! Beautiful scenery all around. It was very quiet. Lots of hot water and great water pressure.

Not many food options, staff were not overly welcoming or friendly. It is very quiet so you can hear conversations from other cottages. A mini fridge in the room would have made a huge difference as we were far away from any supermarkets. We were travelling around Peurto Rico so we had some things we had to throw out before we got there. It would also have been nice to have meditation or more yoga during the day. Just something to offer while you are enjoying the space.

I liked everything!!! The food was very delicious, the staff so warm and friendly and the view on the mountains was incredible! If I were coming back to PR, it would be the fort place for me to stay!!! I felt so at peace and inspired by the surrounding nature.

Well, the view from where the property is situated is just stunning. Each room feels like you’re nestled in the forest. It was great to see wild pigs roaming around the mountain. The pool is excellent as well as the opportunity to have a massage and yoga. Food was amazing & as a couple who lives in Manhattan, it is can be hard to impress us. It’s vegetarian, but it was delicious!!!

Nothing really it was just a little difficult finding with GPS. You just have to really pay attention as you’re driving. Otherwise you can miss the driveway on your left side easily.
