A very nice guest house with fantastic views and a spacious decking and pool. We stayed in the starfish room, the room was nicely furnished and the balcony offering wonderful sea views. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was bonus to have Netflix on the TV. The room came with a small kitchenette with coffee/tea making facilities and a full size fridge, ideal for keeping your drinks cold. The shower room was small and adequate for our two night stay. Debbie was superb, she was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and served a lovely breakfast of fruit, yogurt, granola, toast and hot food accompanied by hot and cold drinks. We enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Headlands House Guest Lodge in Knysna, and it was absolutely perfect. The breathtaking views of the lagoon and ocean from our room were like something out of a dream. The staff (Debbie & the kitchen staff) went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and special, consistently impressing us with their friendliness and willingness to accommodate our needs. The property itself is beautifully maintained, offering a serene atmosphere ideal for a romantic getaway. The breakfasts were delicious and made with such care, setting the perfect tone for each day. The attention to detail and the team's genuine warmth made us feel truly valued. It’s no surprise that people often call this place a "hidden gem." We couldn’t agree more - it was the perfect choice for our honeymoon, and we can't wait to return someday.

The Location of the Headlands Guesthouse and especially the view from the Coney Glen Room over the bay and sea as well into the laguna are breathtaking. But also the sundowner on the pool deck or the view from the breakfast room are outstanding. The service was super friendly and the breakfast was very delicious. For sure the fitout of the rooms could be a bit more modern but the style has its own individual charm. A small house bar provided everything you needed for drinks and small snacks.

The views are spectacular. The amenities are wonderful. The room and house was clean and the staff I communicated with friendly and helpful. There was enough info provided should I not have had an idea what to do. I noticed careful attention to such details provided to me You can take a walk and in less than five minutes reach a place where you can look at various angles of the lagoon and the spectacular view towards the sea. On a clear night you see the beautiful lights of Knysna. I loved the fact that there was even provision made for in case there is a blackout (electricity). My room included a jaccuzi and that was something I have not experienced before, at least never at any residence of my own, so this was an added bonus I really appreciated. The ourdoor pool was beautifully lit by times with a beautiful blue light. The garden looked well kept..The breakfast was good and tasty. There were security cameras all around that added some sense of safety The lovely fireplace and in-room heating was enough to drive out the winter chills. There was some coffee and tea available for that nice relaxing home away from home experience. Ps. I appreciated the "crunches" (day 1) and the attention to detail, like a towel (available) even for going to the beach. All the keys and locks worked (yes, sometimes little details like that can also annoy or please guests)

Such a great view does come at a price. If you don't know the steep roads surrounding the house you might get a little confused. Also steep roads mean that you cannot comfortably walk in all directions with ease. Also the beautiful house took a little physical effort to get my suitcase up the stairs But this should be expected in ANY house around the "heads" and was a small discomfort (and the view made up for it all) But let's be fair: Any high-lying place in such a beautiful area will have narrow and steep roads. As for the steps to my room: They were not endless and I am sure had I asked for help due to back problems someone would have helped me

beautiful view from the Elephant room of the indian ocean and knysna heads. the pictures don't do it any justice. we were able to see the sunset behind the west head from both the balcony and from inside the room. beautiful views during breakfast if you manage to get the only window seat with the view. breakfast was good. Crystal was super helpful and they made great recommendations and booked us diner reservations for our anniversary. Debbie also made great recommendations of places to visit and the best times to go.

no bar fridge in rooms. it would be nice as can get hot need a place to keep liquids cool so can hydrate during the night or afternoons. we did get an ice bucket from the host and brought our ice.

We absolutely loved our stay. We were in the Elephant room and the views were absolutely spectacular. We loved being able to sleep with our door open to hear the faint sound of the sea coming n the distance. Debbie who managers the lodge made it extra special with her friendliness and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were outstanding. We will definitely go back.

The place is very-well rounded, The views is totally great and worth it! Breakfast was more than great. The host, Deborah, was the best host I ever met, always made sure that we are comfortable, always around and looking forward to help, not only for the staying at the place, but for the whole stay in Knysna, the suggestions she made were absolutely wonderful and on point. Will definitely come back again!

Amazing staff! So friendly and warm! Spacial thanks for a breakfast, very tasty. Feels like you came for a holiday to your auntie. The view is breathtaking, and rooms are so cozy and sunny.

I would recommend the renovation of the bathroom. It's in good condition, but very outdated. Also the floor in the bathroom very slippery when it's wet. You have to pay attention if you have kids. The rest is wonderful! Definitely recommend this place🖤

The house has got an exceptional view over the heads. It only has a few rooms and breakfast is made to your requirements. Staff are very helpful and even kept a book for me that I had left behind by mistake...thanks.

We were welcomed very warmly. After showing us around, everything was looking great. We had 2 beautiful rooms with a view at the Indian ocean and the Knysna Heads. Lovely breakfast with fruits, cereals, yoghurt and a choice of eggs any style. Free parking was in front of the guesthouse. At the deck there is a swimming pool. We wished that we could stay longer but had to move on to Franschhoek the next day. Next time we will stay a bit longer.

Nothing was disappointing.
