The omelette was divine! As was the French toast. Staff were friendly and accommodated preferences. Because this is a small hotel, they had the same staff, who made an effort to remember those preferences. I now forget the name of the name who recommended wine tours and was gracious enough to have chat and laugh with me (I think Nooreen) - thank you! Housekeeping were also efficient (although I had to ask repeatedly for shower gel). This place is quaint, feels safe, and is well located right between University and Centre. The night cap was a nice touch :)

The hotel has a colonial style and strongly feels dated ( I expected style from images of exterior, but some modernisation of interior is required). The floors above my room were so creaky that I could hear every step the guests upstairs made. There was an interesting antique wardrobe in the room, which is not quite practical - it wasn't particularly bothersome, but fed into the dated feel of the place.

Evergreen is a house on a quiet corner in Stellenbosch, two minutes away from the beautiful botanical garden. I was stunned by its rustic elegance of the room. The mattraces were great, it was spacious, everything was very clean and totally quiet. The staff is super friendly. They are there if you need them, but leave you entirely alone when you prefer solitude. The breakfast is amazing. The selection of fruits, cold cuts, cheese, cereals, bread and cake is plenty on its own. But there's also the menu with all sorts of egg-based dishes. everything is fresh, even if you arrive at the very last minute. Totally recommended.

Lovely accommodations with good breakfast included. Room was spacious and lovely to have other areas to relax in. Balcony and lounge area outside my room. Picked the accommodation because of location to where I needed to be and it was perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful.

There is very limited parking, but parking available on the street in front of manor. However, during the day most of the parking spots in the road was taken as well. I ended up not moving my car once I had a parking spot and walked to the places I needed to be.

Breakfast was good, coffee not so much, staff was a bit slow. The house is beautiful. I loved the antiqueness of it. The room was comfortable, and it we did not get the bigger room I would have felt ripped off. Very close to nice restaurants and the botanical garden. The various spaces to sit and work is really nice.

The day staff was a bit unhelpful at times. There is no food served for lunch and that is bit annoying if you want to just stay in and work. But in the end, we had a very lovely stay. I may stay there again.

Facility overall was attractive and staff very friendly. Breakfast room and patio particularly enjoyable.

Were assigned room 14 for first of three nights. room was small, had numerous paint rubs, had 2 ceiling pot lights instead of bedside reading lights (partner could not sleep if other was reading), overflowing shower base due to poor (clogged?) drain, non-compatible pictures/furniture/paint, poor tiling in bathroom and other issues. Room clearly did not meet advertised "luxury" standard. Room for third night was much better.

The continental breakfast was excellent. The fruit salad was very definitely fresh and the fruit had been cut into good size pieces whereas many hotels and guesthouses chop the fruit into small pieces (or even use tinned fruit!) The selection of cheeses on the cheeseboard was ideal for me and the cheeses, combined well with the very nice brown bread when toasted. The bed was very comfortable and was great to have a bath available although I use the shower as I was running behind schedule due to lying info too long!

There was nothing that I didn't like and it was particularly special to be able to use your car park as the parking in the street was full throughout the day.

The level of customer care by Clayton, Nuraan, and the rest of the staff was exceptional (and genuine). They promply responded to my inquiries prior to our stay, and were extremely welcoming and helpful when we were there. The property itself is easy walking distance to restaurants and shops, and my wife says it is "very cute". Breakfast was great and in a lovely setting--one can order hot egg dishes or enjoy the many cold buffet choices. The rooms seem large by European standards, and the street is a quiet one right across from the university. Stay here!

The room was huge and stunning. It was easy to warm and I had the best nights sleep. The beds are also nice and big and long. so comfy My rooms bathroom was almost as big as the room. I felt very spoiled! The staff were amazing. the breakfast was so good - best omelet I have had outside of my home for ages. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The location is nice and close to town centre without being in the very busy hub. You walk past the botanical gardens on the way to town, and see loads of squirrels!!

Breakfast is excellent. The location is convenient, 15 minutes leisurely walk to the center. To reach the center, simply go left when you walk out the door to the end of the block, then left turn one block and right turn one block then go straight one or two blocks or turn right to the center. It was easy, but UBER is $2-$3 ride vert convenient.

A little bit more heat. It was still Winter when we stayed.

Great location very close to town centre. Walked everywhere in town. Staff were helpful and friendly. Excellent continental and cooked breakfast. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Nice garden, pool area with sunbeds for relaxing. Secure safe in the room.

Room and bed a little smaller than we like. Some facilities need a little bit of tlc. Eg shaver point did not work. Only one of the door locks actually locked.
