The accommodation was excellent! The room was beautifully furnished, the bed very comfortable, and there was even a large screen and some snacks — perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. We also really appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and the washing machine, which made the stay even more convenient. The location is great, with the city center just a short walk away. Our host was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us lots of great tips for activities and local spots. Communication was outstanding, and we would gladly come back anytime!

Like so many reviews already say: Steven is an incredibly friendly and service-minded host. He’s been doing this for a long time, and it really shows. He’s thought of everything you could need for a comfortable stay—from a washing machine to a projector screen, and from purified water (hot and cold) to instant noodles. And all of it is included in the already great price. The check-in presentation is truly something else—legendary, even. Perfectly executed, with multiple maps, photos, and even videos. It’s a whole show! Steven plays all the roles himself like a true actor. After this, you’ll know everything you need to enjoy Melaka. And no, there are no shortcuts, even if you stay for 1 night 😉 All in all, we had an good time in Melaka—thanks in some part to Steven. He even gave us a ride to the bus terminal after check-out. Now that’s top-notch service!

Nothing, really, especially when you consider the price you pay.

A 3-bedroom place with one bigger room with ensuite and 2 rooms sharing a bathroom. We had the room with shared bathroom. Very comfortable, good bed and encouraged to keep aircon on so the house was cool at all times. Good projector/TV with a large screen in living room to watch Netflix (own account) etc. Also tvs in all the rooms although with smaller screens. Fridge, microwave, washing machine, hot and cold water, good wifi connection. Really has everything you need for a few days' stay. Got a free ride to Melaka Sentral when we needed to leave. Close to various local food places and a few places nearby with outdoor eating with authentic food. A bit further to Jonker Street (10 mins walk) although food not always better at Jonker St. The place is clean and feels fresh and newish (not old and dingy). Near to an enormous toyshop which was a fun place to go.

SURELY A REPEAT STAY …TOHV (The One Holiday Vacation) is well-visited but kept clean, well functioning n quick host response. Host Stephen does his best to accommodate special requests. We stayed for 4 nites in the Superior room. One can tell it isn’t a new establishment - However, cleanliness and comfort is top-notch. The bed was firm and sheets were clean. The toilet and shower facility was good and comfortably ventilated. We had an issue with setting up the entertainment system - But this was resolved speedily by Steven, who came out of his way to assist. A big positive of this is it’s location - Jonker street and the river are within walking distance (10 minutes) or a short car drive. Do not miss the briyanis or naans at Pak Putra restaurant 5-minutes away ( a little price-y on local standards, but excellent and authentic North Indian fare for the price.) Sumptuous meals there! 😋

be prepared to see different people coming in and out if you're there for a few days.

The location is perfect - nice quiet street that is a few minutes walk to many restaurants and a short distance to Jonker Street for shops, the night market and bridge to see the sites. It was wonderful to have use of a kitchen and washer given our longer stay. Steven is very warm and friendly and made many good recommendations for food that we tried. We will stay here again the next time we are in Melaka 😊

Excellent location. Very kind, polite, patient host, Steven. Even though my flight was delayed and I reached at a late hour, Steven waited for me and proceeded to give me a thorough orientation to the apartment and his beautiful historic city in a humorous fashion. The apartment is less than 5 minutes' walk from Jonker Street and the riverside, and despite that, it is a very quiet location. The air-conditioning was strong. The wifi signal was very good with fast service. The shared kitchen was perfect for my needs. The water dispenser saved us the trouble of buying bottled water, besides reducing plastic waste. There was adequate storage space in the room, which made excellent use of the available space. The room had a projector TV. Water temperature and force in the bathroom were good.

The house is at a very convenient and quiet location, very close (5-10' walking) to Chinatown and the old part of Melaka. The host was very helpful, descriptive and a fun person. He also took us to the bus station when we checked out which we really appreciated. The room was with a private bathroom, small but convenient for 1-2 nights. It was very clean with the necassary amenities.

One thing I didn't like was the fact that in the bathroom the toilet is at the same space as the shower. I know this is not uncommon in some Asian countries but it is really messy and some sort of separation of the two is always necessary.

I loved this guest house with all the very modern facilities in an authentic neighborhood a few meters from the tourist center!! It was exceptional!!! Steven greeted me as if I had known him forever. He is fantastic. Ready to be of service to you, to explain the history of Melaka, things to do, where to eat. I followed some of his restaurant recommendations and was not disappointed. He sent me to a place where I ate noodles like I had never eaten before. And all this with his own humor. He even offered to take me back to the bus station free of charge. I hope to see him again one day and stay in his dream guest house!!!

1. The hospitality of the host ofcourse. Steven Yong is such a wonderful, humorous and cheeky host 😁. He recommended many local food to us on check in day, tough we couldn't try it all in the course of 1 and half day visit 😅. And on the morning of the check out day, he DRIVED us to Melaka Sentral himself for free. Thank you so much Steven 🙏👊. 2. The location is just a stoneaway from Malacca center point and Jonker food area, as you visit Malacca for food ofcourse Hehe. A few minutes walking, your eyes treated with Malacca River and one the famous 17th century European historical site and building area in Malaya. 3. The facilities is nice and complete. Besides the privacy and the comfort of your bedroom, you can use and enjoy all the shared facilities such as bathroom , kitchen utensil & dishes, microwave, drinking water freeflow, free complimentary coffee-sugar-instant cupnoodles, washing machine and ironing, umbrella, all in good and clean condition. If you stay longer I'm sure that'll be helpful. Overall I enjoy my stay so much 😊.

We felt like we're home. The place is just over the top. Steven was so friendly. He was waiting for us with a big smile on his face. He even prepared the map of Malacca with the whole highlights of the city. He explained every detail about the places we have to visit. We got from him a few addresses of different kind of restaurants in the city cuz we're vegetarian. You can use the wash machine and the fridge for free. There is also hot and cold water for drinking. The location is just in the heart of the city. Finally he drove us to the main bus station. You will never regret your staying at the one vacation home. Thanks Steven for everything!
