The room was as per pictures, with a additional armchair which was great. I loved the serene green decor, usb plug points, a useful bench at the foot of the bed, and a useful long hook with hangers on the back of the door. Also a very useful shelf ladder in the corner with hooks, where I set up my makeup station. I was able to hang a small mirror on one of the hooks to do my hair. The breakfast pastries were very nice, dinky but we had loads. Wadhurst is full of cute little coffee shops, wine bars, pubs etc and was lovely to mooch about in.
There was a mix up at the beginning and we were given the smaller room but this was eventually resolved, thankfully! There was an issue with the light dimmer where the more brighter lights would not turn on without some jiggery pokery, and also the toilet seat was a little loose. We initially thought there would be a sit down breakfast but in fact they leave you porridge and pastries by the door, which was actually fine but we were unaware.

Great location for what we needed, Lovely clean room, enjoyed a bath, we didn't use the shower. Other reviews complain about the noise. Be realistic, It is a pub and you can hear noise from downstairs but nothing excessive It couldn't be heard over the tv. We have more external noises at home than at the pub. Can't comment about the noise of traffic as we always sleep with the window open so we did hear it, but this can't be avoided in a room next to a road.
Breakfast I presumed would be cooked, we were told I had booked continental and it would be outside our room in the morning, there were no timings in the room about breakfast so at 8am when we woke we opened the door to find nothing. 8.30 still nothing, at 9 we decided to get dressed to go home, opened the door and it was there. Husband was expecting some kind of pastries. It consisted of 2 Banana, 2 Apple, 2 pots of porridge, 2 yogurts and 2 bottles of Orange juice. So not quite as expected but the room was cheaper than advertised using my booking.com rewards

Newly renovated, comfortable bed, plenty of parking spaces nearby, direct access to the 'rooms' part of the pub via the backdoor, airconditioning in the room, breakfast left at the door. The pub closed at 8pm, thus no noise in the evening.
Breakfast is left at the door the evening before, there it is not very fresh (but still it was nice to have it). And the pub does not do dinner, so you have a choice of two Indians nearby. (The nearest is walking distance, and very tasty and friendly)

A perfect location for attending a wedding at Wadhurst Castle. The pub is right in the middle of this lovely village which had every amenity you could need. The rooms were well presented and very clean . Parking was in a car park very close to the pub, so could be pot luck, but we didn't have an issue.
A full length mirror in the suite would have been useful, especially as getting ready for a wedding. Some instructions for the coffee machine would also have been useful.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Could have done with another chair and small table in the room. The bathroom was massive with the biggest bath you have ever seen. No parking on site but lots really close. We only are there once and it was good pub food. There was a rear entrance so you didn’t have to walk through the pub unless you wanted to. We will be back.

The room was lovely and clearly recently updated. As it is an old building the air was a little chilly but the bedding was lovely and warm so all good. The location was perfect as we attended a wedding at Wadhurst Castle, we could walk back in just a few minutes. The staff also let us pick up the key and drop off bags early due to the wedding starting before check in time, which saved us having to find a good time to pop out half way through the day.
The price was a little expensive given breakfast wasn't included but for the convenience of the location for the event I would pay it again. Also maybe a long-life milk packet for my tea in the morning may have been nice, but I am sure if I'd gone downstairs they'd have given me some

Beautifully decorated room, amazing bathtub, lovely village location, nice staff and good food in the pub.
The windows were single glazed and the room was at the front so it was quite noisy. Also they charged a £30 fee for a dog which I thought was very expensive compared to what we've paid elsewhere and the fact you don't get anything for that. It worked out a 20% charge on the price of the room, which was a little expensive anyway.

This inn is just the best example of hospitality and how to look after your guests that I think I have ever come across. The service they provided was exceptional and it is a lovely pub in a pretty village. We were running late for dinner and would have missed order cut off time at 9pm but the team were so amazing, they called me as I was driving to them ( on the hands free) and took our order so that we could eat when we arrived. What amazing service and what this country needs more of! And the rooms ( recently opened) are really nice. Can’t recommend this lovely pub highly enough

Had a very boutique feel and the decor and furnishings were clearly well thought out.
Appreciate it’s early days, but the owners could think about: if no fridge will be in the room, provide UHT milk cartons for morning coffee/tea. We had to wait until 9am to get some milk from the bar, which for some is later than preferred for the morning caffeine; the more mature traveller won’t appreciate a TV that is only wifi, espc when the wifi signal is not strong; a fixed eye level mirror in the bathroom, plus some towel rings near the sink would be useful; and maybe add some internal shutters on the windows to shut out the road noise. Appreciate you may not be able to upgrade the windows, but you need to do something as the road noise, or chatter from people in the street, is just too loud.

Room was well decorated and clean ,descent location for us .
Wind whistling through Old single glazed windows ( in fairness to the owners it maybe a listed building OR even have a preservation order on the building on that road/area) Toilet had its moments after flushing ( ongoing pump noise & trickle)
