The staff was very friendly and welcomed warmly. They helped with early check-in and this was very pleasing for us after walking with luggage in the hot air. The hotel is located in a historical building and designed with fine English style and glamorous details like paintings, chandeliers, wallpapers, lampshades etc. Our room was clean, cosy and adequately large for two people. The bed, pillows are super comfortable. The bathroom was small but nice, clean and equipped with elegant supplies. The breakfast was fine and tasty. It was near to train station and transportation, but far from the Harbour, museums and Hafen city that you must get in bus or underground lines.

The location was a bit problematic because of the homeless and immigrant people around the hotel. Anybody disturbed us while walking in the street but they made noise throughout the night and interrupted our sleep. I know it's not the hotel's fault but might be taken into consideration with family stays.

We had a fantastic experience during our stay in Hamburg! The hotel made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were cozy, clean, luxurious and perfectly located for exploring the city. We unfortunately had a small mishap during our stay. However, the hotel manager, Mrs. Heeschen, was absolutely wonderful—extremely understanding, kind, and helpful. Thank you very much for everything. This gesture speaks volumes about the hotel’s exceptional customer service and hospitality. I had a very warm welcome so that I felt very comfortable and taken care of throughout my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who values friendliness, hospitality, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Thank you once again for everything—we will definitely return on our next trip to Hamburg!

The decor on this place is amazing. Floor to ceiling windows, two sets that open to allow fresh air inside and the room was big enough for two people. It was very clean and well-maintained and the breakfast was typical German style breakfast which I love. I was unable to get the name of the woman that checked me in and out, but she was amazing and she gave me all kinds of places to go and visit and see and do and eat. She was a huge help in my stay.

There were only three things and they’re not dealbreaker by any means. One, was that there is no elevator and I didn’t know that ahead of time, so that’s my bad. Two, the shower was a little small. Three is the area. The area is a little sketchy I will admit, but I was there three days and whenever I went out, day or night, I felt perfectly safe.

It was very unique and cosy. It was clean and central. The staff was absolutely wonderful. The room was big and had a coffee machine. We also received a complimentary bottle of water. They were facilities for making tea and we had a little fridge.

Since it is a very old and beautiful building, it was inevitable to hear certain noises for example people walking/stomping in the middle of the night in the room above us and the little chandelier made some noises.

Very nice staff , very gentle people, atmosphere calm , for People that needs to have peace and a good time at the same moment, You can buy good food, you can buy good cards apartments and more, but you can never buy humanity… You would’ve born as you were born, every person has his own position, his own hobbies, his own things that he loves for us. It was a moment due appreciate each other. You can notice that owner of the hotel was doing everything with passion and love. Thanks for all of you guys take care and hold on like that, I’ll be back. The staff, both morning and night, is amazingly fabulous. Wonderful hospitality! It is a short walk from central train station and also bus station (ZOB). The area was a bit rowdy at night as we were there during the Easter break. Plenty of food nearby and we especially love a bread shop, which we frequented for bread. Rooms are spacious. There is a lovely warm living room for our group to chill after a day of walking and sight-seeing.

Nothing. Wonderful stay. Didn't hear any complains from my group except one who like to roam about at night commented that he felt unsafe walking on the nearby streets at night.

The advertising pictures are excellent and was prepared to be disappointed but thankfully I wasn’t, what a cracking find. A super hotel tucked away down a quiet side street. The interior is wonderful with plush decor, ceilings and furniture, a very grand but cozy feeling. The staff are superb being friendly, helpful and engaging. We will certainly return on our next visit to Hamburg. The only slightly negative observation is that although in a quiet side street, the Main Street 250 metres away is not the most select area of Hamburg and might not suit everyone but for us we enjoyed the our stay immensely. The Hotel is wonderful, some might not appreciate the location close to a very busy and energetic Main Street with lots of Middle Eastern kebab eateries. We found them delicious.

The property is very clean, decorated to period, well maintained. The staff is friendly and the breakfast has good variety.

Although breakfast has good variety, everything is scarce. Fruit, eggs and cold cuts mainly. Today the eggs were gone, had to ask for more; I took the few fruit slices left; and there was only one slice of some cold cuts. Not pleasant!

It’s very clean and well maintained, almost spotless. I was impressed by the cleanliness and attention to details. The proximity is a plus! Such a great stay!

The area the hotel is located in is quite seedy and intimidating for a solo traveler especially in the evening. My friends took turns to send me back when they heard I was staying in that area.

The location was perfect. The staff are all nice. The room is very comfy, bit pricey but it was worth it. I love the pillows and the blanket ... they are so soft!!!!

I would wish the breakfast is included when you book a room, or if there willl be charge, to not be 14.00 eur. I don't eat a super heavy breakfast and I feel that amount is pricey . Although, I must say the breakfast is really nice. It could use some little variations though
