The ambiance of the hotel is nice. It has an elegantly designed interior and a wonderful lush garden. The staff at the reception were very respectful and helped us with everything. Since the coffee machine in our room was broken, they offered us complimentary coffee. The rooms are as they appear in the photos, not too spacious.

The biggest problem with the rooms is that the bathroom is not a separate area (except the toilet). Cleanliness was an issue; we found a dirty and discarded towel in the room. However, these are minor details, and overall our stay was pleasant and hassle-free. Thank you.

Optimal position, adjacent to a main attraction and at walking distance from Leuven historical center. Beautiful and charming garden, personnel polite and helpful.

The only thing we did not appreciate was the lack of any physical separation in our room between the shower/sink area and the bed area. As one could clearly immagine, the absence of a wall between these two zones originated a very steamy bedroom at any shower usage (besides the lack of privacy). Not a criticism to the hotel management, but rather to the whom designed the room interior forgetting that "dry" is a concept as much as important as "pretty".

Fantastic hotel in a quiet area of Leuven. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Our room inc bed was very comfortable. Loved the honesty bar and being able to sit outside in the gardens with the river was wonderful especially after a day sightseeing. We would definitely stay again.

The open bathroom arrangement with a privacy curtain across part of the area. It didn't bother us but maybe if you shared a room with a work colleague for example it might cause some awkwardness.

The rooms are very comfortable and have a unique design, the breakfast was really lovely and had a good choice but at €22 per person I thought a little expensive, they also have an honesty bar where you help yourself and fill in a bill and hand it to reception when your done. The gardens with the river at the back and tables, I think, would look lovely in the summer.i would definitely use this hotel again.

The room doors don't close, you have to make sure as I did go out leaving the door ajar on the first day you really do have to pull it shut.

Excellent hotel in a nice historical setting, quiet location within walking distance of the town center. Very efficient check-in & check-out, excellent breakfast and the staff are doing an equally great job of replenishing the buffet. Modern and clean rooms, great walk-in shower (depending on the room), excellent beds. Also attention to practical things which so many hotels tend to get wrong, such as having 2 pillows per bed, plenty of lighting options, mini bar and coffee machine in the room, good airconditioning which maintains the room temperature also when you're not in the room,...

More of an FYI: curtains don't black out all the sunlight in the morning (if that's a big thing for you) and some rooms have a bath + shower where I really prefer the ones with a walk-in shower (again, more of a personal preference thing)

location is good for exploring Leuven and also getting in and out of Leuven. Very pretty and peaceful garden to sit in.

The lighting for the bathroom mirrors are not good for putting on makeup. We have stayed here before so understood how you needed your entry card to turn on lights and how the Honest bar worked, however the front desk staff did not mention to us when we checked in so someone new to hotel would not have been aware.

2ed-time stay after 6 years. The experience exceeds my last stay. The room is very clean and quiet facing the garden. Bed is large and comfortable. The staff is helpful and kind. Great location at the Naamsepoort with facilities at walking distance.

The bathroom design is a little wired. No door or curtain for isolation and the water keeps spilled out. Would be helpful to provide free bottled water in the following days or at least having a vending machine.

We loved the location of the hotel. It is a bit further away from the old town, but it's a nice walk to get there. When we arrived the parking was full, but the receptionist promptly gave us a code to enter the public parking next door, and it was for free to compensate that the hotel parking was full. What a nice touch! The room was spacious, modern and quiet. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that, but I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nothing come to my mind...

Breakfast is expensive (20 EURO) but it's delicious. A broad array of ingredients to compose your meal, sweet or salty. Fresh bread, pastries, cheese, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, beans and fried eggs. Juices are good and there are also coffees and milks, vegan options included. The only thing I missed was a wide set of jams: I could not find any strawberry and raspberry jam. About the rooms: they are comfortable but essential, not so much space, but the one available is well managed to give comfort and handiness.

I love the breakfast here, I like the silence, quiet, and calm mood you can enjoy in this part of the town. During the summer you can spend time outside in the garden bordering a creek called Dyle. In the background, there is the famous Begijnhof, from which the hotel gets its name, a UNESCO heritage hotspot that's worth a visit.

Breakfast at Begijnhof is amazing: a broad typology of bread, cold and hot dishes, especially eggs cooked in a few ways. Salmon, cheese, yoghurt, fruits, jams, flakes and muesli, cakes and other pastries. Last time I had a few small Berliner and they were delightful!

The quality-price ratio is not extremely good: the hotel could be less expensive. The bathroom/bedroom could offer more gadgets, like slippers: they would be functional and comfortable. Sometimes in the corridors, the other guests are too noisy and the hotel should remind them to be quiet and respectful.
