I think the most valuable part of the hotel is the restaurant. Fantastic tastes, not bad price. At the week-end (incl. Friday) the reservation is a must, because people are coming from everywhere to eat something special. Parking is correct, the hotel has own parking place. This is a calm place, the view of the mountains is exceptional. The staff, the owner itself is very kind, professional. The breakfast in the superior environment is real joy.

There is no AC in the room, but as we had a terrace, it was no problem. The 3 km road from Argegno till the hotel is adrenalin producing. (but nothing comparing to the way from Positano to Amalfi on the Sorrento Peninsula :-))

We loved staying in this hotel nestled up the hill away from the crowds, takes around 30 mins to walk to Argeno from where there a good ferry and bus service, then around 40 mins walks from Argeno to the hotel as uphill. We enjoyed the walks as good exercise and nice views! However 2 days we hired a car which made things very convenient but there can be very bad traffic!! Staff friendly and super comfy rooms with a balcony.

The meals were lovely especially the porcini mushrooms which are in season. These days it seems many hotels have started to skimp on the soaps etc so it was nice that the hotel provided them. It’s close to many beautiful hikes and not far from the lake. Nice front lawn seating.

I had a problem sleeping which is never great on a holiday and wish I had known that agritourism didn’t necessarily indicate a hotel in the countryside. I was trying to stay away from the busy lake locations. It’s definitely calmer but I was surprised to find the building adjacent to another hotel (which hosted a wedding) and the other side was the main road from the lake. Beeping from delivery trucks in reverse began early - perhaps those could start to drive in a loop. The hotel was very understanding and we found a more remote place the next night.

Delightful hotel in the hills above the town. Quirky rooms with original and very personal decorations. Our room (11) was really nice, had large bathroom and came with a long balcony that offered a view on lake Como. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, we had dinner under a tree in the beautiful garden. It was nice to have a coffeemaker in the room. Excellent breakfast.

There came a very little water from the top shower head, sleeping with the windows or the balcony doors open is a challenge as the neighboring hotel is often used for weddings and other such parties

Breakfast is very good. Fresh selection of yogurts, fruit, cereal, fruit juice, meat, cheese and croissants. The coffee is excellent! The location is ideal - a short walk down the mountain to reach Argegno. We did the walk twice with a 4 year old.

Spotlessly clean , don’t think I’ve ever seen a hotel room so clean. Stunning views from the property . We ate in the restaurant our first night , real quality food cooked by the owner . The apple pie ( more like muffins ) is to die for . Excellent Wi-Fi all over the property .

We really enjoyed our stay at La Griglia. The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. To top it all off the view from the balcony was beautiful as well as the surrounding grounds and the breakfast was delicious and substantial. While we managed to arrive with public transport it is probably best to stay here with a car. There is a lovely path down to Argegno but walking up could be quite strenuous! There is a local but infrequent bus that goes directly from Argegno to La Griglia (bus C21). To add to the above, the restaurant is excellent and I’d highly recommend trying the food and wine. La Griglia is a great stay and if I was to return to the area I’d definitely stay again.

We enjoyed everything about our stay.

The room had a balcony with a great view! Elevator to the 2nd floor! Great restaurant! Very delicious food! Nice 2 km walk downhill to the town, where bus and ferry to Como run regularly!

Unfortunately the bus did not run to bring us back to the hotel because of the summer break!

This was a beautiful large old home about one half mile on the mountain directly above the town of Argegno with a view of Lake Como from the little church across the street.There was in fact a staircase one could tale take to the town if you wanted. The house was decorated with colorful paint designs. The restaurant was quaint and the front yard was a comfortable area with tables and chairs to for relaxing.

There was really nothing that I did not like but I chose this place because I had a car and could access the area easily. it would not have worked for us otherwise.

The room is clean and nice. The restaurant food is very good for dinner. Lino, the owner and the chef is kind and very helpful
