The hotel is right on the water, next to the Argegno ferry port - a great location for getting to tourist hotspots such as Varenna and Bellagio. The hotel is a little dated but comfy and clean. The reception staff were the best thing about the hotel. They were so friendly, helpful and happy. They helped us with booking a taxi to the airport and with the ferry timetable, which can look a bit overwhelming!

Everything was great but room 12 has a massive window with no shutters or curtains. Luckily we had our own eye masks in order to block the light - without these, I think we would have struggled to sleep. The breakfast was ok, at 9:30am I think they had run out of most things and we didn't have much choice.

The place was excellent, a wonderful location in a small town on the lake side (Argegno); connections are not great, boats and buses are often late and jump off their shift (or maybe we just had an unlucky stay); however, if you have the car, you don’t have the issue. The Villa is beautiful: there is a lovely dehor where to have a lovely dinner or breakfast, and the view from the room is just outstanding. We had a few issues with our room, as the heaters did not work and we had a little baby with us with a bit of cold, but they did not hesitate a minute to change the room for us. Friendly, professional staff, super available, we had also a lovely dinner. An extremely pleasant stay. I would recommend it 100%

Facilities, very gentle and professional staff, good food, beautiful view

Fabulous stay at Villa Belvedere for five nights, during which we celebrated my wife's 50th birthday. We asked for the room "Concordia" because it was a special occasion and we can highly recommend this if you are looking for a spacious room with a view of the lake, plus it has a private terrace area featuring a bistro table and chairs, parasol and jacuzzi bath (under its own shelter). Good breakfast (added option) and we dined at the hotel's restaurant for the 50th birthday dinner and it was lovely. Menu selection is influenced by the lake, so lots of fish / sea food. Staff were friendly and very helpful. They even brought out a surprise breakfast muffin with candle on the morning of my wife's birthday – very thoughtful and a lovely touch. The hotel is clean with very good facilities and located conveniently at the edge of Argegno, only a short stroll from the centre of the village and next to the ferry station. Note, the proximity to the ferry station was not a problem with crowds or noise – it's not as busy as locations such as Bellagio or Varenna, for example, and it's exactly why we picked the location. It is, however, worth knowing that the ferry service is limited in comparison to the popular triangluar route between Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna, so if you are keen to visit those locations, plan this carefully. We visited Menaggio by bus because it is also on the west shore – a 30min ride with a frequent service. Overall, highly recommended for a special stay at a quieter location that offers plenty to see and do in the area.

We honestly can't think of anything. We feel lucky to have had such a fabulous stay for a special occasion.

The hotel is in a little town Argegno that has restaurants, a cute boutique store, boat rentals, coffee shops, ferry, and more. The restaurant LA PIAZZETTA WAS AMAZING. You walk out of the hotel and you are steps away from everything. The hotel is right on the water and the views from my room were beautiful. We rented a boat with a captain that gave us a tour of the Lake. They were really nice and made it fun. Highly recommend doing this. This hotel is very clean and I highly recommend staying here.

The location is just a magic, rich of nature and calm. The villa itself is very charming and has a spirit and story. Is very well located so has the best view over a lake. I had a jacuzzi in my room, so this made my stay even more relaxing. Chilling in the tub and admiring splendid view over a lake on each time of a day. Something extraordinary.

There is a problem to get there of what I wasn’t aware in the beginning. Better to get there by own car. There is a ferry which is going to argegno and the harbor is just in front of a villa - but to get there you have to wait for you ticket in a long queue in como. Hard to get a taxi if so there are expensive. No taxi boats, just private shuttles.

Lake view room with juliet balcony almost directly over the lake. Argegno suited us well with a couple of coffee bars, bars and a handful of restaurants.

The rooms were simple (but not out of line with our expectations). Bigger towns including Como needed to be driven to or Bellagio a 90 min ferry ride.

We loved our room with patio and terrace plus jacuzzi bath outside- just for us !! It felt very special. Central to cafes busses and boats and staff were very accommodating. Dinners delicious!

Breakfast can be better had in a cafe across the road. Beach not on lakeside and difficult to get to swim in the lake. Best to go to the small rocky beach near the port.

It was a perfect location with a perfect view! Even though we were unlucky with weather - it was still a dream to wake up with a view of lake Como straight from our window. Parking, bus stop 2 minutes from the hotel, restaurants nearby - very convenient location if you travel by car

This place has great history - so it was a little bit outdated, but still very comfortable and cute :)

We booked a lakeside room and had beautiful, sweeping views of Lake Como. Or room was spacious, and all areas of the hotel were very clean. All staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful.

Pillows were a little flat and didn't provide enough support and comfort.
