Went for 1 night ,as a surprise to my partner. We were very impressed with the accommodation. As it was off the main roads, it gave us a wonderful relaxing place to enjoy. The gardens are beautiful, with the original cedar tree still in place. Dates back to 17th century. The owner Chris was very nice and informative. The lovely housekeep Datora was extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her,her breakfast was plentiful, wow . Thank you very much Cedar House boutique. We will return. Best wishes from Marion and Duncan

A peaceful setting in very comfortable surroundings, small pool, sauna and jacuzzi for guests to use on a first come first served basis Pleasant historic home for breakfast which was plentiful and very good. Very comfortable bed and nice facilities, staff and proprietor were very pleasant and helpful.

The shower is one of those freezing/scorching types popular in British hotels where having a shower is as tense as diffusing a bomb and a few of the light switches/lights worked intermittently. Would have been nice to have been able to open a window during the night and the lamps are rather dim to read by

The building is grand and the rooms do not disappoint - ours was vast with a lovely bathroom with a rain shower and superb quality towels and bed linen. Lots of choice for breakfast, fresh fruit and staggered sittings so service is prompt and cheerful. Two nice pubs in walking distance - ate at the Old Oak which was lovely but busy so probably need to book, had drinks at the Bear which had a great selection of wines by the glass and laid on a mezze for us at a late hour without a booking, even though their kitchen was closed. There’s a faded glory to the aging 5 star decor and furnishings which matches the vibe. Yes they could paint or update a little, but with a host of original features, vast gardens and tiny terraces to bedrooms, but there’s bags of charm in the place and it would lose that and look more like a premier inn and less like a bed and breakfast if they went too far in that direction. Lots of space for parking. Great location if you have a car and are planning day trips up and down the coast.

The pool is a plunge pool and the pictures are deceptive - we had planned swims and pool time and ended up sight seeing instead.

Was a lovely spacious room, in a quirky house...we stayed in papillon, had a balcony overlooking the gardens, pool and hot tub area! We had an evening dip in the pool and hot tub, which was clean and relaxing. Close to Christchurch, drove to the Quay and looked around the historic town. We hired a boat to take a trip up and down the river..my son loved being the captain! 😆 would recommend. Breakfast was tasty and filling and cooked to your desired specifications. Thank you! Would visit again.

It's an old house, so the shower was temperamental with the hot water flow! Otherwise we enjoyed our night stay here.

A simply beautiful place with incredible hosts (thank you Chris & Maggie) and a lovely team (thank you Debbie). All different types of rooms - main house, cabin and pavilion rooms making it an ideal choice for business, couples or groups. Wonderful breakfast, gorgeous surroundings. This was definitely worth going to over usual hotel stay I do in the nearby towns, but still close enough to visit them ( and the owners also have a fab pub, The Ship, in Christchurch. Cannot recommend enough.

Nothing!

The grounds are amazing. Lovely lawn area , hot tub and pool. The grounds are kept very well and mature trees and plants make it a tranquil sanctuary. The housekeeping staff are lovely, accommodating, and extremely hard working. The home cooked breakfasts were delicious.

Pavilion Room number 5 is unfortunately not kept well. It is pretty and stylish but severely lacks ventilation causing mold on the bathroom ceiling and soft furnishings. It's a real shame because all it needs is a sky window that opens at the back end of the suite or another outlet ( or working fans) to rectify this. It would stop us recommending to others which is a travesty because the place overall is stunning. The olive house however was kept well. The outdoor pool furniture also needs attention.

Long weekend away 2 Adults and 2 children (10) & (16) . The accommodation ( olive house ) was clean and tidy . There was ample space with a little private court yard . The breakfast was superb, especially the pancakes . Big garden , swimming pool and jacuzzi which the children loved . Staff very friendly and helpful . Lovely relaxing time . We will definitely be back .

Comfortable, good location. Good breakfast

We were given Pavalion room which were distance away from main building and no proper walkway, had to travel through grass patch.Would be very dirty after rain through mud and in rain with no cover. Also not enough breakfast tables for couples or more , only large dining table with couple of tables.

Straight away from the welcome we were made to feel at home. The room we had was amazing, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we had ever slept in. The room was a little tired but the ambiance more than made up for it. The swimming pool and the hot tub were a little bit of heaven even though the weather was not the best, we had a pop of sun every now and again. I can’t not mention the amazing breakfast, it was lovely.

There was nothing not to like really.

Cedar BnB was in a great location with friendly, helpful staff and plenty of delicious breakfast options. The room was lovely and comfy and the pool was a fantastic extra that the children also enjoyed.

The issue with the water pressure and having to have the tap on for the shower to work correctly was a bit frustrating with two kids in the mix, but it was okay and didn't affect our enjoyment of our stay.
