Most of the staff was great! Very friendly and helpful. Beautiful lobby and surroundings.

I was charged 2 separate charges when we left. When I called to question the front desk person said it was for "ruined linens-makeup on the washcloth". She had me leave voicemails for the managers 2 days in a row since no one would return my calls. (I had used their makeup wipes every time as well as my own makeup cleanser, rinsed my face and then used a cloth. I ended up getting Capital One involved and then they never told me exactly what the charges were for but did refund them. I've never had that happen before and I'm 71!!

Great location, super helpful staff, and really good restaurant. We stayed in the 2 bedroom Berry Patch Cabin (not the main building) and it was very cozy and well-appointed. Beds were comfortable and the shower as hot as you could want. The ATV rentals on site are fantastic! Great trails to explore, machines operate beautifully, and it was fun to set out on our own for the day (vs the usual of joining a group tour). The nature trail and waterfall behind the restaurant were beautiful too.

The WiFi in our little cabin was unusable much of the time. It worked well in the main building though, so we just went across the road to the main building lobby when needed.

The staff was superb! Whomever we came into contact with of the staff, we were always met with kindness and help and a smile. In fact, I left my phone in our room and a staff member ran out to the parking lot to give it to me before I left. Really really super staff! Also, the best shower with super water pressure!

With a great restaurant directly across the street and I mean directly across, I feel petty by saying there was no restaurant other than a limited bar with the hotel, but that’s the only “criticism” I have and it’s only because I can’t think of another thing!

We rented the cabin. Everything was good. There are 2 hot tubs at the lodge that we used one night. Beds were very comfortable. Very nice shower set up. Helpful and friendly staff. Can't beat the scenery and location.

Not the critical type. Grateful to have a pleasant vacation. Suggest to bring own stainless cookware if planning to cook (if you are concerned about it) - only teflon type pans there. Be cautious if visiting during colder parts, the path to check out the falls are not maintained and can get very icy.

I love how far into the canyon it was located. The decor was great. The fireplace was beautiful. The staff was pleasant at the front desk. “Dakota the Bear” welcomed us when we entered our room. The thermostat was accurate. I love sleeping in the cold. We saw the mountain goats on the way out in the area they warn you about. 2 adults and 2 young ones.

The location of the lodge is amazing! Tucked in a canyon with access to hikes. we really enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs out front and drinking cocktails. wish we could of stayed longer.

On check out day we headed back to our room at 10:45am to gather our luggage for the 11am checkout. When we tried to access our room the keycards didn’t work-they deactivated it before checkout. The cleaning staff were in the hall and when we asked for help the staff member made an exaggerated movement to check her watch to see what time it was, in fact she checked her watch twice before letting us in. We felt extremely rushed.

i WAS THERE FOR WORK AND SNOWMOBILING. LOCATION IS GREAT FOR SIGHT SEEING AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITY. THERE IS NOT MUCH ELSE TO DO THERE THOUGH. THE RESTAURANT IS VERY NICE BUT WAY OVER PRICED FOR THE QUALITY OF FOOD. 24.00 FOR BREAKFAST WITH TIP IS CRAZY. EATEN LOTS OF THE SAME BREAKFAST FOR 15.00 WITH TIP AND HAD BETTER FOOD. THERE HUNTS KEPSUP WAS REALLY BAD . WAS SOME NATURAL CRAP.

The setting for the lodge was spectacular! There were 3 hikes ranging in difficulty in which the trail head was on site. The grounds provided many venues to sit outside in the wonderful weather. The staff was helpful when we inquired about a nearby picnic area, that turns out to be a small lake nestled in between wooded mountains.

The coffee in the main lodge was provided but was cold each morning.

The location was great in the end of the canyon and with two easy walks to waterfalls. There was a restaurant across the street. That was really good. We really liked the hot tub on the deck at night.

The rooms were rustic and a little too minimal. We felt like we could abuse another blanket on the bed.

Tents were being set up for Sturgis rally, disrupting view from front patio; picnic tables were moved to serve rally goers rather than guests on back lawn; lobby furniture was moved to side room for tables to be set up (decreasing quality of lobby ambiance); bartenders not always available to make requested drinks (margaritas); one hot tub was 108 degrees (too hot!), so other was crowded;
