Imagine driving through the stunning scenery of Bled, Slovenia—serene blue lake on one side, lush green mountains all around. When we arrived, we were greeted by Peter, the warm and welcoming host. His hospitality made the stay unforgettable. Peter not only helped us check in smoothly, but also took the time to share insider tips on the best local spots to visit—hidden gems that tourists often miss. His advice on where to find the best "kremšnita," Bled's famous cream cake. The room was cozy, and had a view of the mountain. Waking up to that view was magical. It’s rare to find such a personal touch in service these days, but Peter's warm smile and dedication to ensuring we had the best experience really made Vila Alpina feel like home. The location is convenient, offering a pleasant walk to the lake while also providing a beautiful view of the mountains. The accommodations were exceptionally clean, and the shower had great water pressure—a small but important detail. Parking was easy to access, which made arrival and departure stress-free. We did not eat the breakfast but would try it on another visit. The breakfast area was pleasant. Our room was set up like a hotel room which served our purpose for this trip. On a longer stay you might want more space. The reception host was very accommodating when we were delayed past the 8 PM check-in time due to traffic and bad weather, which we greatly appreciated. They called and allowed us to complete check in via email. Their flexibility and understanding made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, this is a well-run B&B in a great location, with thoughtful service and comfortable amenities. Highly recommended!

The person who checked us in was fabulous. I had spent lots of time looking at websites to plan how to spend our one day at Lake Bled, but in 5 to 10 minutes he gave us a very sensible plan. He even asked where we were headed next and gave us more practical ideas that worked out great. The room fit the location perfectly with an alpine atmosphere. Being so close to the lake was a huge bonus as we had a great free parking spot in a town where parking is limited and expensive. We decided not to try the breakfast that is delivered from local farms and very much regretted that.

It’s a nice place with good room, very comfortable bed and bathroom. Good parking for all the rooms and beautiful surrounding. The receptionist (probably owner) was very kind as well. The location is good, 5 mins walking from the lake and close to restaurants but anyway the whole walk around the lake takes 1.5 hours so it’s easy to get to other places quickly.

Only thing I could give as a small minus is that there’s no minibar/vending machine or anything that would allow you buy a coffee or beer for example, especially since there’s no nearby shop.

The location of the hotel is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the lake but away from the busy main road. The receptionist Peter was absolutely fantastic, incredibly welcoming and helped us so much to plan the rest of our trip in Slovenia, ensuring we made the most of what we wanted to do. The breakfast option of getting a basket of delicious items to take to the lake was brilliant! Really appreciated it!

The room we were in was a little small but it was still wonderfully clean and had everything needed.

Love the location of Vila Alpina in a quieter part of Lake Bled but the property is still just a short walk to the lake and some restaurants. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. Bathroom was very large.

They don't have on site breakfast, so you do have to either pay for breakfast to be delivered to your room or go to the buffet at Garden Village (we did the latter and it was great food). Also we went in the shoulder season (late May) so the temperature controls in the room were off, but thankfully we didn't need it.

The place felt very homely from the beginning of our four day stay. The location was great, less than 5 minutes walk to the lake. Our hosts were very friendly & helpful throughout our time at their place. The breakfast baskets available to order to our room were adorable, but also great value for money, feeding us for breakfast & lunch.

The only thing was the noisy AC unit in the room. We needed it overnight due to the summer temperatures. Everything else was fantastic!

Peter- our host- was amazing! we had a great welcome and some really nice suggestions for hiking and food. He made us feel like home. The hotel is just a few mins away from the lake, with plenty of parking spaces. The room was clean, equipped with everything we needed for a nice stay,

The room was close to the main entrance , which made it a bit noisy in the morning. Just a suggestion- it might be better to install some screen windows :) Room was small, but we didnt mind as we used it just for shower and sleep :)

The location was great, close to a quieter area of the lake, and it had lots of parking. We appreciated the breakfast room.

I felt like the mattress on my side of the bed was sagging and my husband hit his head a couple of times on the sloped ceiling. (Looked like he wasn’t the only one.) Our children stayed in a small ground floor room and it was difficult to have good ventilation with no window in the bathroom and the room windows opening to the entryway stairs.

I stayed in the deluxe room which was large and airy with lovely few of the mountains. Perfect location for embarking on walking circuit of the lake. Couple of nice restaurant bars nearby, so no need to walk back into town.

Directions could have been better. It's a good 30 minute walk (2.9km) from the bus station in Bled. If only I had stayed on the bus, it would have dropped me off at the bus stop about 5 mins walk from the accommodation but I wasn't aware that the continued bus route would take me past it?
