It is an amazing place! The property is stunning! It had belonged to the royal family and later to the former president so it is very charming (and imponent) to stay there. The room was almost one apartment, the views were unbelievable- it seemed we qere on a fairy tale. The lack of air conditioning wasn’t a problem, the room had 3 fans and usually was fresh enough. The hotel has privet boats wich were tge best way to go to the main island, and to row arround the lake without a crowd, a very exclusive experience. They also have a privet beach place with a good structure and the BEST staff there- a big thank you to JAKA, who didn’t measure effort to make us feeling comfortable, gave us the best tips and was super friendly and attentive to our baby :)

The breakfast wasn’t the best, and the breakfast service was very poor, it didn’t look like we were in that beautiful hotel. They didn’t clean the tables, when we ordered something from the kitchen they sometimes said it wasnt allowed for exemple, to bring scrumbled eggs, and the coffee was COLD, everyday :/ disappointing for this hotel. 3 stars hotel has better breakfast and service. I wish they can fix this, then I’ll be able to return

The location is superb with views over Lake Bled from every dining table. If you enjoy a sense of place with history built in - with mid 20th century glamour barely restrained by socialist aesthetic then you won’t mind the lack of a few mod cons. Super spacious rooms - red carpet marble staircase , genteel service and private lakeside loungers with a boat thrown in. And a super charming and helpful lifeguard. A blast from the past with unparalleled views. Highly recommend

It needs a little sprucing up here and there. We had 20th century air con - giant ceiling fans which kept the main room in our apartment cool but it could be a little stuffy. Nevertheless an extra fan was provided and it was 31 degrees when we were staying . It didn’t mar our stay at all but something to consider for guests who require modern air conditioning

Quirky hotel in stunning location - an oasis in Bled which can get very busy with tourists. Staying here felt like a privilege. Staff were kind and helpful, we loved it. The private bathing deck down at the lake was especially beautiful and appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Dinner was a highlight of our trip to Slovenia

The rooms were spacious but in need of some upgrades (air conditioning or better cooling system), bathroom. For a hotel of this quality they seemed a little short staffed in places … nevertheless the staff who were there did their best to serve everyone.

Vila Bled is a beautiful vintage hotel where you can definitely feel the historical vibe on every corner. It is pleasently and decently furnished, everything is clean and neat, the rooms are spacious. All of the staff was polite and always available and the waiter at the hotel restaurant was admirably professional and elegant. The dinner at the hotel restaraunt was delicious, as was the breakfast each morning of our stay. Also the spa is a must go. All in all, a beautiful experience in a hotel were you feel like you are a part of a diplomatic visit. Our visit was in early January 2025 and we will definitely return to experience both the hotel and Bled in other seasons.

There is some wear and tear on the room furniture, especially on the nightstand surfaces which I hope will be addressed. The other thing to be addressed are the leaky shower screens.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Vila Bled while we explored the Lake Bled area. It is located on the edge of the Lake in in peaceful private ground. The Vila is full of nostalgia and a must place to stay for people interested in history and buildings. The breakfast was excellent and could not be faulted. The evening meals were of exceptional quality that they would have not been out of place in a Michelin Stared restaurant. It was a great place to stroll into Bled along the banks of the Lake.

This hotel is amazing!!! The location is fantastic, the building has an amazing history, and the staff were incredible. It was somehow grand but unpretentious, not at all stuffy. Also, this seems like a minor thing, but I am a decently-proficient-but-not-totally-fluent speaker of Slovene, and it really meant a lot to me that the staff were patient and kind and spoke to me in Slovene. (At other places, I've found out that once people figure out you're not a native speaker they switch immediately to English.) It really meant a lot to me that I had multiple, lengthy conversations with members of staff in Slovene, and I'm grateful for their patience and generosity of spirit! Anyway, we just loved everything about our stay and are already planning a return trip.

The hotel, which carries the spirit of old times, is in an extraordinary location. The large park on the hillside, on the shore of the lake, awaits guests with beautiful flowers, bushes, and trees in perfect harmony. Although the hotel was not born in the 21st century, the room with its balcony opening onto the lake takes you off your feet. We didn't use the dinner option, but the breakfast was just great, we didn't miss anything. The fact that you can park in the hotel area is a huge plus in Bled.

Regarding the return, we await the completion of the renovation.

Wow - this hotel seems like somehting out of a film. Having explored a bit of bled, it is without a doubt the best location with access to the island and quietness from the hustle and bustle. The staff were lovely and so low key with nothing a problem. The lady during dinner service was adorable and my only regret is not having cash to tip her a huge and deserved thank you!

It is incredible dated. If you expect comfort (ie aircon and good interiors - this isn't for you) but if you want a refreshingly innocent and old school hotel with the most incredible views in the world and a real sense of peace - book now! We will be coming back for sure :)

The location and views from the balcony are amazing. Knowing the historical aspects of the hotel were also a major reason we wanted to stay in Villa Bled. The staff is very friendly and professional, and trying to help with all issues or requests.

The main issue with this hotel is the lack of air conditioning. As you open the windows and balcony doors, you get all the cigarette smoke in your room, since smoking is permitted on balconies. There are also little things such as no paper tissues, no hand soap (empty bottle for two days of stay), dusty towel radiators - these things should not be happening for the price we paid.

Architecturally special location, apparently in the Neo-Renaissance style, built between 1934-1947, located in a quiet area, close to the lake, with a jetty and its own beach area that partially preserves the interior design of the 60s-70s. I recommend it to those who appreciate historical and quiet locations. The hotel staff is kind and responsive so that none of your wishes will remain unsolved.

If the included breakfast, otherwise varied, would benefit from a few ideas of variation, it would definitely be less monotonous.
