The location was perfect and quiet. Enchanted place on the hill! The service was exceptional. The facilities were great. Thank you Mike for everything. We had our baby with us, Mike and his colleagues went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed especially with regard to storing and warming up baby food. Thank you to the team at Acleaf for their exceptional service and World class food. Thank you James and his team at Acleaf. We will come back!

We stayed in the original manor. It was great. The shower/wet room is small so definitely put some towels down to prevent water going everywhere. We should have checked about the spa not allowing babies in the pool, but we managed by taking turns to look after the little one.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. Property was great, layout was great although lifts being out of service wasn’t very helpful, but understand these things happen.

Spa was very busy seems a lot of day access packages being sold, this meant at times it was very cramped and noisy, not ideal for relaxation. Suggest you manage the number of access passes sold for the day or better police a rule about quiet and tranquil use of the facilities - it wasn’t as relaxing as we had hoped and experienced at other facilities. Bar area could be better laid out so that people coming for a drink before dinner can be seated together. Not many options for couples. But the secret bar is great once we found it 😊

The spa was perfect, amazing, spacious with variety of facilitiies choices. Allowed to have a pool drink was a bonus. The jacuzzi pool was very comfortable and having 2 steam and 2 sauna room was impressive. Fine dining was perfect with reasonable portion well presented. The room has all the facilities required.

No lift to our allocated room reached through 2 set of stairs. No staff service to take your cases to your room considering it was a 5 start hotel. Perhaps the service was available but not offered by the reception desk staff. This was not offered when we checked out either.

Delightful in every way! The attention to detail is so personable. The food standards are very high and the rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. I was welcomed on a hot day and offered a cool welcome drink upon check in. The complimentary offer for a hot drink delivered to the room the next morning was lovely and the turn down service wasn't just pulling back the quilt, they left fresh robe, lavender fudge, popped classic fm on and even tidied away some of our things. The spa was relaxing. It was busy but we managed to obtain some beds to lay on and order drinks via the app. Dinner and service was outstanding, equally so was breakfast. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. I can not wait to visit again!

The different rooms within the spa (sauna etc) could have been a bit cleaner but with the amount of people using it, understandably was probably not as clean as usual.

Stunning. Comfortable room with a fan, iron, fridge, etc. The whole place is beautiful, the decor is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful. The staff were lovely and helpful, and there was always someone around. The cooked breakfast was small but freshly cooked and very tasty. There were plenty of options for things like cereal, croissants, etc, and these were kept topped up. This was a little expensive for us, but would definitely love to stay again!

The only thing that I didn't like were the birds living in the roof. They were pretty noisy, which meant sleep was difficult until they went to sleep. But, it is what it is. It wasn't a huge problem.

There are alot of things to like the spa is amazing even though it was a sunny bank holiday weekend there were plenty of sunloungers. The staff were very polite and attentive too. We were there for three nights once we used the spa for 2 days we werent too far from plymouth town centre so we managed to go out and about also. Perfect weekend break!

The only down fall would be the breakfast I ordered a full English and it tasted like it had been reheated. I also had an ice coffee and the ice had melted when it was given to me so it seemed like it had been sitting out for a while.

Gorgeous suite with spa bath on the balcony, very comfortable bed, lounge area very comfortable and the bathroom had a b ath big enough for 2 and a rainforest shower that was more than adequate. Evening meal in the Brasserie was very tasty and a great wine and cocktail list to choose from. What more could you ask for?

Nothing disappointed us, all very good, if I were to be picky I would say the mushrooms at breakfast could have been done better but great sausages made up for that. The continental selection was very good.

Loved everything about this place, friendly staff and welcome, with drink on arrival. Room was cosy and clean, with everything provided. The spa was incredible, so relaxing and the ability to order drinks via an app to the loungers was an added bonus. The spa opens from 6am and it’s a lovely chance to use the facilities before the gen public! Breakfast was also lovely and the staff were attentive. All in all, I felt very spoiled visiting here and I wouldn’t hesitate to come again!

If I was being picky, I’d say the duvet and pillows could’ve been a bit comfier.

Rooms were presented well and comfortable. All the expected amenities were provided. The spa is second to none although one of the sauna rooms was out of action during our stay, it was still an amazing and relaxing experience! We sat in the garden out the front with a drink after we checked out in the sun and it was the perfect end to a lovely stay.

We had a mix up with the breakfast options and we were charged for separate items rather than the ‘deal’ that was provided. Other than that breakfast was lovely and the staff very attentive. We were refunded for the mix up by the lovely staff right away after we mentioned it.

Great looking property, you can feel the history from the moment you enter the gates.. The rooms are fine, we didn't have an issue with any noise. They are dog-friendly and that's a big plus, the lawn being a perfect place for your four-legged friend.

Not entirely the hotel's fault (although they could enforce no vaping and they are sell drinks by the pool, so naturally people get drunk), but people at the pool were vaping, were quite loud and that made the atmosphere a bit cheap.
