The hotel is a short drive away from the university halls, Illini Union, Illini book store, restaurants on the Green Street, etc. However it is not in the immediate of the university where you will not require a car to go to the university buildings - but none of the hotels in Urbana or Champaign are. This is not a bad thing as that means there is ample free parking and the hotel is close to the I-74 highway. The main big shops like Target (bigger one), Walmart, Costco, etc. as well as some dining options like the Olive Garden are just one or two exits away. When you visit the university halls or the Green street central areas, you will need to park the car in the metered parking spots (and pay using an app on your phone called Mobile Meter). The room was like any other hotel but not bad - we had stayed in couple of King rooms (which were cheaper than the rooms with two Queen beds). Staff was friendly.

The breakfast area was small but OK. Breakfast was so-so, but that is the case with most of these hotels, so no major complaints. The timing was 6 to 9 am I believe and was extremely busy around 8:15-8:30 am. The attendant was friendly and even though we arrived around 8:50 am, brought some of the breakfast items which were already over.

We liked it that (free) breakfast starts at 6am even during the weekend. We liked it that the window can open. We had a view of a big green lawn with a rose bush by the window. When a huge storm rolled by we felt like being in a countryside and not isolated. The staff is super nice, responsive to issues, and there is everything you need. The room was big, furnishings are old and our alarm clock from the 90s was busted, but beds and sheets are comfy an it is clean. Toiletries are very good, so is the showerhead. It is worth every penny. It is minutes from the UofI campus, hwy and a mall.

The dark brown-green color of the bathroom walls is good in small amounts for an eye shadow, but not a bathroom. I suggest a light, fresh earthy tone of yellow or rose.

The bed, the size of the room, and the bathroom were really nice. Clean indeed. The refrigerator size was awesome and I had a beautiful view of the lawn from Room 203. Quiet for sure.

The room was lovely. The only small issue was that the toilet rocked a tiny bit when I sat on it. Secondly, I did notice the huge rectangular wood section about 2.5 to 3 feet in height and 6.5 feet in length covered in carpet alongside the wall next to the king-size bed. Don't know what was there beforehand, but it looks a bit off-putting. Otherwise, everything else was great!!

The bed was firm which I like. The bedding was soft and so comfortable. The hotel is older however there have been updates made and it is maintained well. The breakfast is continental and included some Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches which we warmed up in the microwave in the room.

Some minor things like worn outlet plugs. Nothing that impacted our ability to get a good night's rest on pur roadtrip.

The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the hotel was very quiet. Lots of good parking and the staff is very friendly.

The towels are thin. There was a cobweb right over the lamp in the corner by the bed. I wish there were more protein choices at breakfast.

the property was clean and well maintained. Front desk staffs were good.

Breakfast. one of the reason we book this hotel was for breakfast. read the reviews that gave it. thumps up. For us, it was one of the terrible ones. Pastries were hard and pancake batter was kinda sour. Boiled eggs were smelly. Had never skipped breakfast other than here.

We were not able to take advantage of the breakfast We would like to see it go until 10 o'clock on the weekend. The room was very clean. The hotel was very quiet.

We were three adults and it would have been great to have another chair.

The front desk staff was amazing & so kind. The beds were really comfy, except maybe bigger pillows.

The breakfast was pretty bad. Coffee was good tho. The hotel rooms need a few updates especially carpet in hallways.

Note that the pool is small, so staff limits # of people who can use it at a time. We were able to use it when we wanted to, so it worked out fine. Price was jacked up for the eclipse, so I can’t rate it a good value.

Both the breakfast facilities and the food were very good. The room was spacious and very well appointed.

Check-in was more complicated than for most recent experiences. The billing procedure was far too rigid.
