Breakfast every day was great. Choice of cereal, toast, coffee, eggs, sausages, bacon and a fruit platter. I stayed here for 11 nights in April 2024. My plan was to use it as a base and do day trips and explore Nadi. There are nearby bars, restaurants for coffees, diners, beers etc. I spent a lot of time at Smugglers. Wailoaloa Beach is only a minutes walk away. The bus for day trips picks you up outside and drops you to Denarau Port to go to the islands day tripping. I recommend Malamala Island. Nadi is only 10 mins by taxi. Denarau 15 mins. Staff at Ideal were great. Very friendly and welcoming. Big thankyou to Sala, Emma, Knox ( breakfast cook ) for making me feel so welcomed. I would certainly stay again. Also banana smoothies at Ramada were excellent. Shop 2 mins walk for essentials and bike hire next to that.

No complaints. AC worked a treat and the bed was comfortable.

The staff were nice. Big room. The shower rooms were big and REALLY clean. Facilities were a bit old but good. Lovely breakfast and afternoon tea.

There was enough space in my room if there were a table, chair and wardrobe, would be perfect. WiFi doesn't work in any rooms and the night even outside.

As a solo traveller, I had a really great time at Ideal. The best part of this place was definitely the people - every morning, we’d gather around the breakfast table, meet fellow travellers, and chat with the lovely local staff. I honestly wasn’t expecting to make so many new friendships here. The bed was large and comfortable, and the room had air conditioning. Breakfast was delicious, and they even offered afternoon tea sessions, which was such a lovely touch. I came here for work & holiday, and the incredibly friendly staff even offered to drive me to my workplace each day (for a very reasonable price) - which was totally a bonus! Thanks again to all the lovely staff at Ideal B&B - I miss you all and Fiji and hopefully I can come back again one day

It did not bother me but my room was close to the dining table so I could hear all the conversations/noises outside in the early morning. Saw one cockroach in my room - but that’s also very common in Fiji and it’s not necessarily a fault

I cannot stress enough how wonderful the entire staff were. From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a warm “welcome home” and treated as though I was part of their family. They went above and beyond to accommodate food preferences/allergies and even baked special gluten free bread for another guest. On Sunday we were treated to a special Sunday lunch which was a wonderful surprise. They took care of booking transportation for me to my next destination along with organizing day trips around Nadi. Overall, a very wonderful time at Ideal Bed & Breakfast and I would definitely stay there again!

Emma and family made me feel so welcome, and it was like staying at home instead of a B&B! This was my first time visiting Fiji, and they were a huge part of making it a fantastic holiday. The B&B has their own vehicles, and are able to arrange pickup and drop off for the airport, as well as Port Denarau where all of the tours depart from. Vere is a superstar and can also book local tours and an itinerary to the Yasawa Islands for you. The daily breakfast was lovely, with a tasty fruit selection and hot food options. It's a short walk to Wailoaloa Beach, where there are a few bars and restaurants, plus it's a very short car journey from Nadi airport. The room was just right for what I needed, and crucially had aircon. I made a few friends too at the B&B, as there were a lot of solo travelers and couples. It was a perfect base to explore Fiji, and the kindness and hospitality was incredible! Would definitely stay here again!

Just to note... wifi is only provided in the common area, but this didn't bother me as I had bought a simcard package from the airport. Strongly recommend you do this regardless, it's $10USD for a 5-day Digicel Fiji simcard with 21GB of data which is a no brainer.

It was excellent! My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights and it was amazing. Our room had a full kitchen, two AC units, a great bathroom with a shower, and a great bedroom with a full size bed and a lot of closet space. There was even an extra bed in the living room. The hosts of the B&B were so kind and always fulfilled our needs. They picked us up from the airport and dropped us off for a great price. They helped us with a tour for a great price as well! The breakfast was amazing every morning. And the locations is fantastic. Super close to the beach, restaurants, and a store.

The one of the only cons was that there were roaches in our clothes when we were packing to leave. Not very fun haha. Also wish there was a little more variety with the breakfast.

The staff is super friendly and helpful, both with advice and with booking things to do in Fiji. Always up for a chat, too. I really enjoyed it and can wholeheartedly recommend the place. Everything was clean, bathrooms were in good condition, and the breakfast was very nice (usually an omelette, fruit, cereal, and sometimes bacon and sausage.) Dormitory has 2 bunk beds so it's not too crowded. Plenty of space for luggage.

WiFi was a bit hit and miss. When it was working, it was good, but every now and then it just cut out until someone restarted the access point. It also doesn't reach all the rooms. The dormitory is close to the community area, so if people decide to have a noisy chat until late at night some headphones or earplugs might be helpful.

Great location, staff who were knowledgeable friendly, honest and especially Vera (the manager)who we spent a full day with on one of her tours of Suva. The food was wonderful and plentiful, and especially the afternoon tea -provided every day an occasion for travellers to gather and share experiences. The rooms were clean. This was as we expected for the price This is not the Hilton or a luxury island resort, it is a well located (some resorts are near nothing and you are their captive guest for the duration) rooms and grounds clean and the staff were fantastic. It was as we expected.

Internet was a bit sporadic and had to be accessed from a common area.

Every single staff member was super friendly and welcoming. The location is great - near the airport and the beach is just a few mins walk away. The beach is not one of those pristine white beaches one might associate with Fiji, but still a good place to take a dip or just stroll along. There are quite a few hotels and bars/restaurants around as well as a supermarket and a noce cafe/restaurant above. The breakfast was delicious (fruits, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast) and complimentary afternoon tea was a nice surprise. On Sundays the hostel offers a complimentary lunch to all guests which was a great way to spend some time with other travelers and enjoy local cuisine. I had the single room and a small balcony attached to it. The common areas were clean, spacious and comfortable.

Water pressure in the shower was very weak. Planes taking off very late in the evening/at night disturbed sleep a bit.

The place is rather nice compared to others in the area (I also stayed in smugglers cove and really didn't enjoy that). Great breakfast included. There is a nice communal area with a little swap library, water and WiFi. I communicated with them about the possibility to stay in a girls' dorm, which is not listed as an option. They put me and another girl into a room beyond the men's dorm, so they accommodated my request, which I really appreciated. Considering the price includes breakfast, it's great value for money.

Overall the area by wailoaloa beach is not really beautiful, but the place is conveniently placed if you need to stay close to the airport.
