Beautiful location. The creek and horses in the back were a pleasant surprise. We absolutely loved the fire pit area. Very clean except for some spots on the kitchen cabinets and ceiling that could be easily overlooked. The chair in the living room needs a very deep cleaning. Perfect size for our family of five. Great floor plan for a small home. More supplies than we expected. The bag of ice was a life saver! Very friendly staff.

Nothing we didn’t like, just wanted to mention the things that may need some extra attention when cleaning.

This cottage was awesome, very clean & cozy it had a full size nice refrigerator, a nice microwave, counter top stove with 2 burners, a nice size kitchen sink with nice faucet, a Keurig coffee maker, small table with 2 chairs, small couch, nice size flat screen TV & WI-FI. Was furnished with a bag of ice in freezer, coffee pods for the Keurig, plates, bowls, coffee cups, utensils, frying pan, pots, paper towels, dish soap, very nice bath towels, hand towels, bath clothes, bath mat, iron with ironing board & a hair dryer. Had a king size bed with 4 nice pillows & nice soft sheets. The bed was very comfortable & slept great. The bath had a nice shower and sink. The lighting was great through out, new heat & air system that was easy to operate. We were impressed with the quality & modern look of this cottage. We had a wonderful time and definitely would book with Veda Inn & Cottages again and request cottage #14. We couldn't watch the Nascar race on Sunday & NFL Monday Night Football game because it wasn't on a free channel. To watch either of them you had to subscribe or agree to a free trail with a streaming network.

My husband and I like how peaceful our stays at the Veda Inn are. The Veda Inn is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly. It's quiet just like what myself and husband are looking forward to when we take our trips to Maggie Valley. We will definitely being staying at the Veda Inn again.

The only thing I didn't like was how cold it was in the room when we got there. Working the heat was a little confusing and it took a little while to get the room heated up. But once we got the remote figured out it was great.

The cabin was just the right size for two. Even though it was on the main road, it was set back and secluded enough that it felt like being in the country. There was even a brook and horses in the field behind our cabin across the brook. The bathroom was small but convenient. There was a full -sized refrigerator. It was a great place for the price and convenient to both Maggie Valley and Waynesville/Lake Junaluska.

The seating in the room wasn't very comfortable, but the bed was fine. The comforter on the bed was too much cover, but the sheet wasn't enough, so we used the throw from the couch. The shower could use a grab bar.

The price was extremely reasonable. The room was exceptionally clean and looks like it has been renovated in the last couple of years. In older motels, bathrooms can be a bit sketchy, but they were great here. The location is also convenient to Lake Junaluska. Less than a 10 minute drive. Check-in was also quite easy.

For a family of four, the room we stayed in was a bit small. We were kind of expecting it to be a little larger, but that's on us. And getting onto the four Soco Road could be a little difficult at times.

We were pleasantly surprised to see that the photos online weren't stock photos but actual photos of the facility. Our cottage was spacious and comfortable, with adequate parking and fantastic amenities. VERY close to all the fun in Maggie Valley without an addiitonal expense to being that close. We highly recommend and WILL be back!

Not a dislike but a heads up to people from a city...it is so quiet that we should have taken our own fan for some background noise at night. Even the A/C was quiet!

I like the location of the motel and the fact that it has been totally remodeled. It is clean inside and the beds are comfortable.

The studio room I stayed in this trip was quite musty smelling. Maybe an air purifier would help. The bathroom window had been left open a little so some bugs got in. Lighting on the unit numbers would help- it was hard to see the unit number in the dark.

The cleaniness of the cottage ,good parking,plenty of room and the bed was comfortable. Great location mintues away from downtown Waynesville where there is a lot of great restaurants. The owner was easy to contact and helpful. The owners take pide in the rooms and it shows.

The bathroom needs a exhaust fan. The kitchen needs room darkening cutains/blinds due to the night light shinning in the cottage. Like the fire pit but other people staying the night was a little loud due to the loud music. However someone must to have said something because they turned it down .

Our cottage was clean and everything was very homey.

I was charged a pet deposit for my mom's service dog of $50.00 even though this was refunded when I checked out within 1to 5 business days, it is against the law to be charged for a service animal. I had already paid and there wasn't any other places to stay so I had to pay. Being a grandmother raising 3 grandchildren under 5 any extra unplanned money effects me. I paid in cash for the deposit I felt it should have been refunded in cash and no the card i put on file. Other than that small hick up WE ENJOYED OUR STAY AND WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK.

When you enter the property you look at the cabin and you think oh my what is this? It doesn't look so great. It doesn't look terrible but you think what? What did I get myself into and then you get out and you meet your neighbors and they're extremely friendly like if you just left your neighborhood and it's not bad like you think it would be at all. And you can't really hear the noise from the major road and the the babbling creek from behind is nice. Well it's actually a little string but still it's really nice. You can walk over there. Look at it. Sit by it. Read a book and then you enter into your cabin and let me just say it is like entering a five star hotel. The place is immaculate beyond belief. It has everything you could possibly imagine that you want and the cleansing is beyond belief. The beds are amazingly comfortable. It feels like your own private little oasis. We were there celebrating our anniversary and we loved it. It was super quiet. Super clean and it felt like it was super private . So never judge a book by its cover.

Maybe the outsides need a fresh coat of paint and that's it.
