Location is excellent. Quiet, next to cellar door & garden, surrounded by nature and vineyards. 7 minutes to town centre and beach and restaurants. The room has a kitchenette and necessary tableware.
We stayed in a room called No. 17 Blacksmith, but the bathroom smelled of sewage. It is a very historic room, good enough for an overnight stay.

The property was unique with the accommodation in heritage buildings converted to accomm. We had plenty of room with a large bathroom and large sitting area.
The hot water took an extremely long time to come through so it felt like we were really wasting water waiting for it to come through. There was also a leak in the roof when it rained so we put the bin from the bathroom to catch the water dripping.

We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere & view of the vineyards. The historical significance was also a nice feature. Nice to walk on the grounds of the property. Lovely swimming pool, and tennis courts. Lovely large room with wooden deck & view of vineyards.
The exterior of the bathroom window had cobwebs and insects accumulating. Not pleasant to shower when seeing the dirty section of the window right next to you. We had a large room which is usually used for overflow guests, so is not regularly used.

The location was excellent and the ambience of the property also what I expected.
It would have been good to have charging ports available as you don’t have reception facilities and the shops were away.I know it’s our responsibility to carry them but as it is essential nowadays it would have been better to have it available in the room.

The location and the grounds/surroundings were so stunning. Walking out and viewing the vineyards was amazing. The wine tasting was lovely, the staff member we had (he said he just works there on Saturdays) was so informative and told us about the history of the area.
We checked multiple times with staff if the room had a stove/oven as we planned on cooking Christmas lunch there. They very kindly ensured we were in the only room that had a proper kitchen however nobody told us that we needed to bring our own pots and pans. The room did not have a single thing to cook with or any knives. We ended up finding knives at the local IGA. We then realised on Christmas Day that we had no pots. The on call staff were very helpful in resolving this and bringing us a saucepan and a frying pan but we would have brought things from home if we’d know that was necessary.

It was very interesting to stay somewhere different and was good for a one night stay. The rooms were part of a historic settlement from the 1820’s and that is reflected in the decor. Very comfy bed, good shower and effective air con. The staff very very enthusiastic and informative about the history of the site. A good range of meals are available at the bowls club - 5 minutes drive away.
There was a gap under the door which could let insects in.

Wow! Our 3 days stay at the Coolangatta Estate was fantastic! The historical location, beautiful scenery and close proximity to the beach was like none other. Our room in the cottage was fantastic, equiped with great facilities and felt very comfortable. The rec room with table tennis/billiards with such a great bonus! Thanks to all the staff, we really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be recommending to others!

It was easy to find and the stuff was very friendly.I checked in later and they got my key and map ready for me .Beautiful old place very clean and well kept .I enjoyed swimming in the pool after my drive .
I liked everything. The bed was comfortable but it could use a mattress topper and I would have like to have a tea towel since I used a few dishes had to use the face washer to dry it off .I was very surprised that they had no Wi Fi

Ambience of staying in a vineyard in restored heritage-like buildings. We toured all the buildings, soaking in the history. Quiet, private location. ✅️ 24hr arrival times, well-organised. We had a spacious 2 room suite. Just a 15 min drive from restaurants in Berry.
1. Be aware of the 2 steps down out of en-suite. We almost each fell twice. (P.s. upon reporting this to reception, they realised a coloured strip was needed to make the steps easy to see). 2. Bed seemed comfy, but sagged in the middle. Nevertheless, we had a great night's sleep in the country air & location.

Location
Very hard to find where our room was in the dark. We spent 20 mins walking around trying to find it. Even though we had a map , the writing was small and the only light we had was on our phones. I was told a code was sent to my phone but I didn’t get one. Luckily there was an envelope with a key in it that I saw out of the corner of my eye as I was phoning the emergency number to call. We had been at a memorial service for my Mum all day down the road, hence our late arrival which was not known to the property. Not blaming anyone but maybe a map sent earlier in the day with navigating left and right turns would have been good.
