This was an interesting place and we would stay there again in a heartbeat! I'd read other reviews that said it was quirky and I guess that is true. It's located off the M8 near Glasgow in an area called Eurocentral. From what we could tell it was an area that was just a bunch of office buildings. After 5 p.m. it's like a ghost town--except for this hotel. You walk in the front and pass through heavy curtains into a dimly lit, but stylish lobby. You feel as though you've stepped into a James Bond film. There was a rather busy fancy bar through a doorway to the right of the reception desk. There were elegant-looking guests sitting in the lobby near the fireplace sipping their drinks from the bar. Our room was modern, clean, and comfortable. The shower! Oh the shower! So powerful and strong and luxurious. I wanted to shower multiple times just to take advantage of it! The parking was simple (huge lot). Their gym was not accessible for some reason, so they gave me a keyfob to go use a gym in a nearby building. It was a boxing gym with tons of equipment and I was literally the only person there! I had the entire place to myself.

The only problem is that, since it is an office building area and literally everything shuts down at 5 p.m. when all the office workers go home, the grocery stores and restaurants that line the ground floor of all these office buildings are all closed down, so there's not really anywhere nearby to get food after 5 p.m. (aside from the hotel's restaurant). Not a huge issue, but one that people may want to be aware of.

The whole place is beautiful with extremely kind, friendly staff.

I booked a room which said bath in bathroom which I needed for my husband who has an injury and can't stand for long periods of time. On arriving into the room and seeing no bath I contacted reception to ask to be moved given the fact I had book the room because it advertised a bath. I was told no rooms except the suites had baths and it was essentially false advertisements. We couldn't be moved due to all the suites being booked for the weekend! I was disappointed but also annoyed due to it being a medical issue we required the bath for otherwise I wouldn't have bothered with this room at all.

The food here is great and the perfect location for what I need! I have been here 2 months in a row so far and will be returning monthly for business. Friendly and helpful staff, couldn't ask for better service. The bar area is a nice chill out area where you can chose to eat in the restaurant or wherever you decide to sit at your own comfort.

Unfortunately my first room had a window issue and was extremely noisy, maintenance came to have a look immediately and parts were required so I was upgraded to another room, Unfortunately in this room the toilet did not work properly but I got by and I'm sure they would have been more than happy to get this fixed but i didn't mention this until I checked out. I was planning to use the gym but when I went in to have a look it was pathetic considering how nice the hotel is, I used a local gym instead.

We were visiting as we were attending Gymfest in Ravenscraig Sports Centre and had a fantastic experience at this hotel from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making check-in smooth and stress-free especially after the long journey from Thurso, Caithness. The room was spotless, and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches like complimentary water and toiletries. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere and how well-maintained everything was. When i arrived at the room I was welcomed with a note from Sophie, wishing us luck at Gymfest and thought this was really kind and a lovely personal touch Location-wise, the hotel is ideally situated: close to the sports centre, and while very close to the motorway, there was no road noise heard in the rooms, I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again.

Fantastic hotel. Staff couldn't do enough. The rooms are lovely. We had a king and it was a good size, tea, coffee, sky tv, dressing gowns and slippers and extra towels in the room. The only one thing and why it wasn't a 10/10 as I had the mushroom, artichoke, chicken meal and it was not nice, the mushrooms tasted pickled and seemed odd flavours. The sauce it was served with was odd too. Cost me over £60 and my partner didn't eat it all. The menu is slightly on the high priced side to not refine the quality. This is no reflection on the rest of the menu as it could be much better but I we both just felt it was a very odd dish all together. Great stay other than that. The hotel looks modern and is cosy from the moment you walk in. Would recommend for staying!

The whole ambience of the hotel and the exceptional ,helpful, friendly and cheery staff was an experience very worthy of top marks in our estimations. The food was evidently freshly prepared and tasted delicious and once again an applause to the waiting staff for being so informative and attentive. The owners should be proud of all their staff at the Dakota at Eurocentral, Motherwell as they deliver an excellent standard of customer care and hospitality.

Perfection doesn't exist and like all other hotels one can expect a chip on the paintwork, a broken blind cord and perhaps a stain on a carpet if being microscopic but overall there was nothing we didn't like or worth having a rant about

This is a very comfortable stylish hotel and we were made to feel very welcome by staff. It felt very cosy on a cold winter’s night and it was incredibly reasonable for the room and for the delicious meal we had. The bed was very comfy and the room was spacious. We were there for a very quick stay and would have liked a bit more time to just chill in the comfy reception area with the roaring fire and relaxed surroundings.

The only things I would comment on was the dining options and the shower. I was with my son and we both just wanted to grab something quick and light to snack on as we arrived around 8pm but there was no bar food and only option was to dine in the restaurant (or room service but we couldn’t find a menu for that and we didn’t really want to hide away in our room). The meal was exceptionally lovely but we were tired and it all just felt a bit too grand for what we needed. Not a complaint as such because we were looked after very well and it was our decision to try the restaurant rather than opting for room service. The actual shower was lovely but it was an accessible bathroom and the floor seemed to take some time to drain away which was just a bit fidgety.

Nearly everything.. lifts bedroom window opened. I like fresh air so this was very important to me. In room iron and hairdryer, milk, tea, coffee, biscuit, toiletries, slippers Shower Bedding very cool and Comfortable because my body heats up without sweat No undesired art display of humans and animals, it was simple and elegant

Room overlooked the roof The toilet roll holder too near to the toilet and toilet roll not protected, if flushing wothout closing the lid it will splash onto the roll

The staff and the way they treated us it was like we where the only ones there From the moment we got to the hotel till we left it was just so magical and comforting the staff went above and beyond always looking after us My wife stayed back and when she came down they looked after like royalty And one more thing the food was to die for hats off to the chef amazing tastes my tounge is still buzzing Any way I will be back

Nothing there is not a thing wrong with the hotel

I like this hotel, it's cosy and welcoming and everything is quality. Rooms are furnished to a high standard with Molton Brown toiletries. Friendly staff and ample free parking.

We arrived after a long late flight. I had messaged hotel earlier in day and they confirmed we would be able to get food but when we got there that was not the case. However, the manager was kind enough to sort us out with some sandwiches and drinks for which we were very grateful.
