The room was tidy and spotless, with excellent water pressure—perfect for a refreshing shower. The location is great, within walking distance to the city center. The cleaning staff was friendly and helpful, even showing me how to retrieve the key and find the free lounge area.

Although the hotel claims to offer 24/7 support, no one answered the phone after 9 PM. This made it really difficult for guests arriving late to get assistance when facing issues. After calling the emergency number, we discovered that a staff member was actually staying on-site. The hotel should clearly indicate the location of the staff room so guests in need can reach out directly and avoid unnecessary stress. The procedure of getting the key is a little bit out of date which needs to updated before sent to customers.

Neighborhood was very nice and quiet, Vienna is big but you can walk anywhere from there. Room was narrow but big, had everything needed. Cleaned everyday with new towels

Bed was superhard and difficult to sleep into. The lamp didn’t switch off completely so it adds to the issue… no staff can be a problem at night as keys don’t open the door downstairs, so you have to use a 6 digit code… no place to keep luggage safely

We were genuinely impressed with our stay! Expecting a tiny room (which we would have been fine with), we were pleasantly surprised by a smartly set space. The room was not only impeccably clean but also perfectly suited for two people, and the bathroom was well-equipped with everything we needed. Although we chose to dine out, the hotel offers a large, well-organized communal kitchen. It might sound a bit too “hostel-style,” but the space felt anything but. Quiet and clean, making it a great option if you prefer to cook. One of the best aspects of this hotel was its serene atmosphere and spotless condition. The daily housekeeping kept everything fresh, which really added to the comfort of a longer stay. Location-wise, this place couldn’t be better. Just steps away from the Freud Museum, surrounded by charming cafes and great restaurants, and only a 15–20-minute scenic walk to Vienna’s city center. The walk itself was a treat thanks to the beautiful Viennese streets. I also want to highlight the hotel’s thoughtful touches. Yes, our room faced the street, and we noticed some nighttime noise - but earplugs were already provided. On hot days, the room did get humid, but again, a fan was waiting for us. It’s rare to see a hotel so proactive in anticipating guests’ needs. These small but impactful details made a huge difference. All in all, this was a wonderful experience: peaceful, clean, well-located, and managed with care. Highly recommend!

Everything was clean, well made and mostly in like-new condition. The room was not too small, with plenty of closet and cupboard space.

The room smelled strongly of bleach when I arrived. The bed was a little short for my 1.89m with sharp edges of the wooden frame at the foot end. The shower, also, was not designed for my height. My room (#102) was at the street side, above the entrance of a pizzeria restaurant, so quitenoisy with the window open. The hotelmprovided earplugs. The room had a nespresso machine and when I arrived, there warvtwo coffee cups, too, but these were not replaced when I used them.

Our stay at Hotel Ries was absolutely perfect, truly a 10/10 experience. The location is excellent, just a few steps from the tram, making it very easy to get around Vienna. The check-in process was smooth and practical, everything worked perfectly. The room was spotless and well equipped, with everything you need, including kitchen utensils that made our stay even more comfortable. The shower was fantastic, modern, with great water pressure – a real highlight. Everything was impeccably clean and well maintained. Overall, it was an amazing stay. I can’t recommend Hotel Ries highly enough, we will definitely come back!

This was one of the best stays, The room size was great! the colors of the rooms bring life back into you, the balcony was also nice! Everything was there, kettle, coffee machine with coffee capsules, water bottle, hair dryer, fridge, but no AC only a fan which was good, the weather at that time was a bit chilly at night. the bathroom is clean, they give you shampoo, body shower and conditioner, they change the towels and everything. It was a nice stay all in all. There was also a common room for all the people staying there, you could sit, meet people, drink something or just chill there, we also kept our luggage there which is quite safe but its at your own responsibility.

The check in was a bit late, at 3 pm, and they refused to do an early check in as it is self check in anyway. The location is a bit far from the center but it fine because there is a tram next to the hotel.

The location was really convenient- 10-15' walk from everything. There is a nice pizza restaurant next to the hotel great for a late dinner. Despite that, it was really quiet and peaceful. The room was warm with independent heating and really exceptionally clean, it also had everything you needed. From toiletries and water, to a coffee machine inside the room with coffee capsules provided, apples in the kitchen and a big variety of teas - I really liked it. The cleaning ladies were always around and friendly with a smile. Every day they cleaned the room. It also felt safe and the self check in was easy. Definitely will be back next time!

Since I knew about my conference meeting in Vienna, I was considering a place to stay in with affordable price with all amenities. and here I am all my fears were vanished Once I entered this hotel. The room is warm, clean and cozy, and it has hot water especially in this cold month of February. Also varieties of body soap and shampoo. The room I took is good for solo traveler. They have washing machine and iron in the next room and it was easy to get in as described. Self check-in easy to access but the device is in the upper first floor because I thought it would be on front door.

You may hear some sounds in other rooms, but overall it was an amazing stay.

The location is excellent. The rooms very clean. Housekeeping were very helpful and we were able to get extra pillows.

The advertised size of the room was larger than the actual size. We had difficulty navigating around the room. There was no option offered to pay extra for a larger room. Also a shared kitchen was advertised but stove, oven, microwave were no longer available and the sink and dishwasher broke during our stay. Not sure the website clarifies that there is no elevator and you must carry luggage up several flights of stairs. The price had also increased 50% from our stay last year.

The room matched the photos and the check in process was explained clearly day before in an email and when I got to the property it was clearly signposted on what to do and where to go. The location is great can walk into the city or to the tram stop (on the corner) and a tram will get into the city and the main sites. The shower was incredible the temperature was perfect (can adjust) and the pressure, I’d come back for the shower alone. The rooms were spacious and had a lot of storage space. In my room I had a coffee making facility but I am a tea drinker but there’s a shared kitchen available that’s kept clean and tidy and used the kettle in there. You get your own mini fridge / freezer in the room which is great. The lady looking after the rooms was friendly and would acknowledge you by saying morning etc if she saw you which was nice and polite.

I stayed in room 105 a single occupancy room. I was on the corner and I could hear and feel when the tram would go past in the evenings, I was provided with ear plugs which was great as helped drown out the noise, if you’re a heavy sleeper or perhaps on the other side of the building this may not be a problem for you. The shower sometimes leaked onto the floor and therefore had to use extra towels to absorb the water which is annoying. The email stated you can leave your luggage but it was unclear where you would leave it, in the shared kitchen? If so I wouldn’t as don’t know who’s staying in the building with you etc.
