Service was excellent and friendly, breakfast excellent and air-conditioning functioned very well. I liked very much the traditional "old-style" atmosphere.

We were a little bit disappointed to find that the dinner in the hotel restaurant was not nearly as good quality as we expected based on breakfast and lunch experience.

I stayed at the Hotel Regina in Vienna for three night while attending a conference nearby and found the hotel excellent in all respects for my purposes. For me, the location was ideal; it is within easy walking distance of a variety of historic sights and attractions. The rooms are spacious, well decorated, clean, and accessible. The staff are friendly, professional, and helpful. Breakfast choices are varied, tasty and more than ample. I had a lovely surprise one day when a chocolate cake arrived in my room courtesy of the management, who had discovered it was my birthday that day.

For the purposes of my visit, the hotel was exactly what I needed.

My room is the smallest I've ever had. Barely wide enough for the single bed against the wall with shower at one end and toilet/sink at the other. No view of course. But clean comfortable friendly and location, location, location. Good Viennese breakfast.

It was claustrophobic to be in there in the day, so I spent no time at all there except to sleep/change clothes. Could not have a friend or colleague for a glass of wine.

The location was great. I selected Hotel Regina because it was a European Hotel and not an American chain hotel. You expect it to be a little quirky. By that I mean that the second bed in the room was stripped with not even a pillow, since I was a solo guest.

When I checked in around 3:30 pm on Sat., March 30, 2024, the staff should have told me, a 74 yr. old woman, that the floor I was on had 2 separate set of stairs to reach my room 310 after getting off the elevator. I would have asked for help with my 3 pieces of luggage. When I checked out, I asked for valet service which was provided. Also, I had the breakfast on Easter Sunday which was terrible. The scrambled eggs were not only cold but starting to turn a dark yellow color. There was no toast. I am American, I do not eat lunch meat for breakfast at 7:30 am. I had been on a 21-day tour traveling to Malta, Cyprus, the Greek Isles and Athens and ate a lot of buffet breakfasts. This was the worst and it cost 23E. The cafe latte and little pastries were good.

Hotel booked on the strength of its old-fashioned appeal (they don't hold with electric door locks and have actual keys), the traditional decor and unbroken Viennese family ownership history. Delighted to be allocated the Bosendorfer Suite with resident Bosendorfer grand piano. I was able to play Bach, Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven throughout our stay. What could be better? In the shadow of the impressive landmark of the Votivkirche and a nice little park, the proximity of the Ring and its trams and Metro make the Hotel an ideal hub for getting around Vienna. Excellent restaurant, too.

The breakfast was underpowered. A hotel of this overall standard should be competing with the best.

Location: the hotel is located very centrally, just a short walk from the old city and very well served by public transportation (tram, metro are very close to the hotel). Our room: we booked a superior and we were vey lucky to get a room in a corner, with windows on two sides. The room was large, quiet (double door between the hallway and the bedroom), full of light and with a very nice view on the city and with a nice touch of the Vienna "look and feel" through the furniture.

I did not opt for the breakfast when booking the room. I planned to opt for a small breakfast (e.g. croissant and coffee) directly at the hotel but the only option was the full version for 25 EUR. I've decided to just settle for the coffee in the room (very good) although was told that the breakfast was actually great. Next time! Nonetheless, I would suggest the hotel to make available a "small breakfast" option for those (like me) who just need something to bite to start the day.

Hotel Regina is a beautiful historic property, located in city center, next to the beautiful Votive Church but about 20-30 min walk from the actual area where main attractions are. Not a big deal if you can walk and in case you can’t there’s a (main-artery) underground and tram station about 200 meters from hotel. It’s a historic building and breakfast buffet is very good (some rates include breakfast, some rates don’t). My room was actually very small but that was not a problem for a solo traveler (think of a small cruise ship cabin), but had a wonderful church view (and air conditioner!). Staff is friendly and helpful, I would recommend and stay again.

It was a bit expensive for the room I got.

The hotel and the room was very comfortable. I was here already another time. This time I got a larger room that had ample space with an entry hall with wardrobe, the bedroom and small area for sitting, writing and a large bathroom. The bed was comfortable. This is a traditional, historical hotel in the Vienna, so furniture, rooms and architecture is a "old" style. However, it is all well kept, cleaned and tidy up. The breakfast is good, offering a good variety of high quality food. The position is excellent, very close to the center and main attractions.

Hotel Regina has an old world charm with high standards. The staff were exceptionally efficient and friendly, the room (121) was large, beautifully decorated and with an amazing view of the Votivkirche. Great shower, powerful and roomy. Bed so comfortable and pillows were a dream. Restaurant menu was typically Austrian which we wanted and staff were happy to explain dishes and make recommendations. Vali was a wonderful waiter who made our dining experience memorable. Location was brilliant - a few minutes from the Ubahn and main tramlines.

The morning coffee at breakfast was not great.

To reach the hotel from the airport, the hotel organised a taxi for us - timely pick up, reasonable price, and very comfortable vehicle. Included hand sanitiser inside. Receptionists were polite and multi-lingual. Upon check-out, they immediately refunded the 60 Euro deposit, and were happy to look after our luggage for a few hours while we toured the city. Bathroom included adequate towels and practical extras. Excellent choice of hot and cold food for breakfast (included in room price), including great choice of bread, jams and honey(comb) and vegan options. Interesting historic feel to the building, with paintings, drawings, tapestries, or ornaments. Very convenient location, close to University buildings, Votiv Cathedral, and local transportation connections.
