The apartments were excellent and cleaned every day with fresh towels, bath mats and waste bags. Beds were also made every day! This was an unexpected bonus! The surrounding area within the hotel grounds was top class and our apartment overlooked the croquet lawn, with the local ducks feeding by the waters edge. The staff, including the owner went out of their way to help in any way that they could. The food in the hotel was excellent, along with a good selection of local wines and beers. In my opinion this hotel is the "Jewel in the Crown" in the eastern Algarve, an area that we have visited for the last 25 years, but not at this venue. There is no doubt that we will return this year.

The hotel has a rural setting located far away from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts, offering a natural and tranquil environment for guests who wish to get away for a peaceful short stay. The buffet continental breakfast was varied and catered for all tastes. The hotel allowed guests to have breakfast outdoors by the pool and that was really nice.

I cannot think of anything that was unpleasant - perhaps a lift in the main hotel building for elderly or disabled guests would make a difference for guests with mobility issues. Although the hotel has only one floor it can pose a challenge for these guests to access their rooms in the main hotel building.

The hotel is located in a rural area north of Olhao with beautiful grounds and gardens. The staff are friendly and helpful and the entire ambience of the place is peaceful and tranquil. The rooms are large and well equipped.

The pool sunbeds are worn out, uncomfortable and need replacing. A safety issue we have mentioned before is the need for a non slip bath mat for use whilst showering to prevent an avoidable fall. The food in the restaurant has noticeably deteriorated since our last visit. Chicken dishes were tough and unpleasant and the sirloin steak was inedible. We did complain about this to the waiter but did not get any feedback. This is potentially a major issue as the hotel is quite isolated and guests rely on having decent food in the hotel restaurant.

This is the 3rd year in a row I have stayed at Quinta dos Poetas. I have been highly impressed each time I have stayed here. The breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of choice. The hotel is in a lovely rural setting and is very peaceful and tranquil, but at the same time is only a 10-20 min drive away from Olhao and Faro and access to local beaches. Each time I have visited I have found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our room was super-spacious, air-conditioned, extremely comfortable and pristinely clean, with a breathtaking view of the pool, gardens, bowling green, outdoor gym area. Breakfast was excellent, with eggs done to your preference. Dinner at the restaurant was deliciously flavourful, generous and hot, the location is quiet, peaceful and amazing! Rosario and her team are so pleasant, polite, courteous, welcoming and accommodating, serving with a smile... Their service was second to none! We’ll definitely be back!

There was absolutely nothing that we didn’t like!

Beautiful rural location. I could hear the birds chirping. Surrounded by nature, perfect place to relax. Our room was simple, spacious with a balcony view to the pool and garden, even a little bit of the sea. Staff was very kind and helpful. Would come back again definitely.

We could hear the music coming from the lobby in in our room in the evenings.

The staff at this hotel were lovely particularly all the receptionists. They were very accommodating when Ryanair cancelled our flight:they managed to allow us to stay in the same room for an extra night at the same daily rate. The room was very clean on arrival and kept like that by the cleaner. Breakfast was good but like any hotel breakfast gets a bit samey after about three days. Similarly the evening meal at a set menu cost of 20euros whilst good value was a bit lacking in imagination and I wouldn't want to eat there every night. There were plenty of sun loungers when we were there (very beginning of June 2023).

I should have gone to reception with my pillow and asked for a better one: it was way past its' shelf life! As I said breakfast, like any hotel, was a bit repetitive. The sun loungers could have been more padded and it would have been wonderful to have had a heated pool but I understand this is rare in early June.

We liked the tranquility, the location, the setting in nature. The apartment was clean, well-equipped and modern. The staff were really friendly and the food was fantastic. Very positive feedback and we will look to go back!

I think that there could have been more outside activities to entertain the kids. Perhaps the food was a little expensive. I sometimes think these places could make it easier for you to recycle your rubbish too, but overall it was fantastic!

The setting around the hotel was really lovely. Nice big pool and a lovely patio. What I loved was the hotel was out in the country. Beautiful scenery along the way. The breakfast was good. We also had a light lunch which was tasty.

My checking out was not great. I had trouble with my international credit cards - even though I had used them the night before. I was made to feel uncomfortable about this.

The breakfast was exceptional with a very good spread. There were many options and what was particularly pleasing was the emphasis put on the many healthy options available. The hotel was ideally situated in a lovely country setting and only about 15 minutes away (by car) from the nearest main town Olhão where there are a large selection of shops and restaurants. One very pleasing aspect of staying at this hotel was the large amount of wildlife in and around the immediate environment. The hotel had it's own pond complete with ducks and turtles and there was also a wide variety of bird life to admire.
