This hotel is a Gem, The reception and booking in was friendly and efficient, our room on the second floor was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were able to make use of the outdoor heated pool which was super clean and very welcome after a long drive. The grounds are beautifully maintained and gave us a very welcome area for us and our little dog to enjoy, this was another reason for choosing this hotel, being pet friendly, they even provided a small welcome bag for the dog with some treats and a small rope chew toy. The restaurant and bar have a very good menu, the food is absolutely delicious. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Traditional type hotel, easy access from the motorway with plenty of parking adjacent to the hotel. Rooms slightly small and a bit dated, however very clean, comfy bed, good WiFi, good shower. Bar area very buzzy and restaurant full of locals which is a good sign. The food was excellent. Service good. Overall perhaps slightly expensive for what it was, but I would still recommend. I stayed one night en route to Spain.

The pineapple carpaccio was the best dessert I have ever eaten. Excellent restaurant. There is also a McDonalds and Lidl very close by. There was a lovely garden and a nice pool, which we look forward to using on a future visit in warmer months. Free parking and close to autoroute , make this a convenient stopping off point. Very pleasant staff, would definitely recommend.

The room was a bit on the small side, but perfectly adequate for a short stay.

Hotel donibane is extremely tranquil despite its location in a busy area. The staff are always exceptionally helpful and friendly. The rooms are basic but the bed extremely comfortable and large. An excellent heating system and a large heated towel rail in the bathroom. The shower is efficient and powerful. Wifi good. The gardens are large and beautiful with facilities for outdoor dining or coffee. The large heated swimming pool with lovely sun terrace is a huge bonus. The restaurant is absolutely excellent with beautifully presented high quality food on offer for breakfast and dinner

No tea/coffee making facilities

Location is perfect when on route, 2 min and you're back on the highway, 10 min and you're in Spain. Across from a supermarket. Beds were comfortable, nice size bathroom. AC works fine. Restaurant on premises with decent food, and a fabulous breakfast!

Rooms are pretty small, no room for large suitcases. Only small window, but it can be opened.

The receptionist gave us a warm welcome and a larger room than we had booked. The room was comfortable and quiet. The restaurant had an excellent menu and wine list.

We had a problem in the restaurant having requested our venison steak to be served "a-point" (medium) and it arrived overcooked and tough. The restaurant agreed to take it back and serve less well-done steaks but, initially, were not very happy about this, insisting that "a-point" meant well done in that part of France! However, it all ended well.

Friendly staff, good breakfast. The hotel had a gym which we didn't use and a pool with a pleasant surrounding pool area but unfortunately we didn't get the weather to use it! Ample onsite free parking.

You need a car or use a bus to get to St Jean centre. Ours was a last minute booking however we requested a double bed on Booking.com because it gave us the option but the hotel said they didn't have one available. My issue here is more with Booking.com as they shouldn't have given us the option to ask for a double bed.

Hotel restaurant Donibane is next to a Renault garage and opposite Lidl but it is absolutely quiet and tranquil. The gardens are beautiful, the large heated outdoor pool an wonderful facility. The staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly. The restaurant was absolutely excellent and the vegetarian option - a spicy wok -one of the best I have ever had. The bedrooms are clean, comfortable and modern with fairly basic facilities but quite adequate for a short stay

Warm welcome on a very stormy night. Room small but very clean. Bathroom with shower was excellent with fantastic water pressure. Had dinner in the restaurant which was good. Location just off the motorway was very convenient. Electric charging point.

Comfortable and interesting with a good bar and restaurant

Not a dislike but it is located opposite Lidl on a roundabout, so, not exactly picturesque. That said, it is in its own grounds and is very well located on the edge of the town. We walked into the centre by the scenic route in 30 mins.
