We only stayed one night without breakfast. The rooms are quite expensive but the location is good , so that has to be factored in . Bathroom was a little tired and the sink leaked but had a lovely stay overall and if you don’t mind paying a bit more , it’s a nice treat .

Room rate without breakfast was quite high , however again location has to be factored in . We upgraded to balcony room so was good to open the doors up for fresh air as it was a hot weekend. Would be nice to have chairs facing the doors so you can sit and look at the view or small chair on the balcony would be good .

The setting, ambience and the welcome from staff

The price of the room, would have expected more. At no time can you see pictures of the room unless it is one of the highest priced rooms. The room was like a sauna and even turning the radiator down it did not get much cooler as whole property was very warm. There was a mishmash of furniture, some lovely older style with an 80's table lamp and bright pink bath panel, very strange. We asked if there was parking on site which we were told yes but first come first served basis, we did manage to park by arriving early and did not know it was chargeable until we left.

Every member of staff was polite and helpful apart from the Manager who was extremely rude.

On arrival I asked if an upgrade was possible…the receptionist was lovely and did her best to see if a room was available. It took some time but that was fine..,she said she needed her Manager to approve it..l which was understandable. I had to wait for him to be available…he came and walked right past me…spent some time looking at the computer…..& then he walked away…never spoke or even looked at me. I had booked dinner with several guests coming…paid extra for a room …and he can’t say one word to me. So rude! As a Chief Executive of an organisation if any member of my staff treated a member of the public like that I would be arranging extra training …credit goes to the rest of the staff who has higher standards!!

Nice location on the marina. Plenty of places to eat at nearby. Comfy sofa in room. Plenty of tea, coffee - etc for a 1 night stay. Nice decor. Plenty of warmth in the room from bathroom radiator. Great to have real tissues to blow nose instead of just toilet paper.

Could have more milk cartons & 2 Galaxy hot cocoas on the tray in the room, instead of just 1. Breakfast menu could include vegan/vegetarian choice in the folder on the menu with a more reduced price. Breakfast price is too steep. For £20 we would expect a breakfast bar with hot food/self serve.

The staff are excellent, friendly, helpful and accommodated our requests. Hotel is wonderfully located and it is fantastic to have sundowners on the sidewalk overlooking the harbour. Both the breakfast and dinner options was very good, service can be a bit slow when the restaurant experiences busy periods The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped for our needs.

The structure of the breakfast menu is a bit annoying and that there is no buffet option does mean that there can be service delays during busy periods.

This hotel is lovely on the harbour front. The rooms are comfy and clean. All the staff are polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for our party of 8 . The reception area has a perfect view of the harbour through its large glass windows. Breakfast was superb and served by lovely staff. We didn't eat in the restaurant at lunchtime or in the evening but I can imagine it would be lovely if breakfast was anything to go by. There is first come first served parking at a very reasonable rate beside the hotel. We will definitely return to this wonderful place.

Nothing

The view from the room was great and we were on a corner so this was enhanced. Also the large very comfortable bed and furniture. The Pillows were exactly perfect - soft and very soothing after a long day travelling. The Harbour setting is hard to beat, great views and it has its own atmosphere. We had an excellent evening meal in the restaurant and enjoyed a great selection for our breakfasts, traditional grill with some healthier options available. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the check-in and check-out were done without fuss and valet parking for our car was a bonus. The art throughout the Hotel, the stunning lounge area and variety of furniture around the hotel is quirky and impressive, which adds to the unique experience, we will be back again.

The small bathroom and 'over bath shower' was a surprisingly limited space bearing in mind the room size and disappointing for the price we paid.

Excellent location.

Having to pay extra for breakfast with a room that was already expensive. Breakfast itself very expensive (£18 pp for cooked). We found a little cafe about 6minutes' walk away and got two breakfasts for what would have been the price of one in the hotel. Kettle located in wardrobe and not with the teas etc. No USB chargers. Room - tired and needing redecoration. No hot water in the morning - warm but not hot for shower or bath. No toiletries left in the shower itself but left on the shelf by the handbasin. No bar area. You sat in the reception area. Evening meal expensive.

So, another amazing stay but this time over Xmas. Great food and staff as per usual!

So... Things that need addressing: 1. Mattress - springs very noticeable 2. Ironing board - highly dangerous collapsed on a touch 3. Housekeeping - kept on returning to the room once finished 4. Fixed shower head - not ideal if you just want to wash your hair 🤷‍♀️ 5. Toilet - was really low like a child's 6. Room was scruffy - scuffed walls and stained carpet 7. Bedding - all feathers sod it if you're allergic 8. Name tag for Xmas meal was wrong 🤷‍♀️ 9. I was told there was only one sitting for Xmas day meal but there was 2 🤷‍♀️ 10. No overhead lighting in my room

The hotel was really great and our room was perfect - large and overlooking the harbor. Staff was very helpful with everything including offering to park the car for us - we are from the UK originally and used to live in Felixstowe and we had forgotten how small parking spaces are! The location is wonderful - right on the Harbor and very picturesque. There are quite a few good restaurants right in the area, virtually next door to the hotel. We did not eat dinner at the hotel but the menu looked wonderful and was always crowded for dinner, which is always a good indication. We had breakfast there and it was lovely. Would definitely stay there again.
