I stayed at Aloft Muscat Hotel in June 2025 during a short trip, and I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of services offered at a very reasonable price. From the moment I checked in, the staff was welcoming, efficient, and attentive to details. The hotel features a modern design, clean and well-maintained facilities, and offers amenities typically found in more expensive establishments. The value for money is outstanding — you get comfort, service, and style without breaking the bank. It's a great choice for both business travelers and tourists. I would return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Muscat.

While the hotel’s location is convenient for the airport (around 10 minutes away) and major venues like the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) and the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, it is distant from key tourist areas such as the city center, Mutrah Corniche, Mutrah Souq, and Al Khuwair — which can be inconvenient without a rental car or frequent taxis. Additionally, the hotel heavily advertises its nightclub and nightlife events throughout the property, including in elevators and the lobby. While this may appeal to certain guests, the tone and style of these promotions can feel at odds with Oman’s modest and family-oriented cultural environment.

Amazing room, very clean, friendly staff

They didn't warn before booking that one of the days of my stay there was a party until 3am with LOUD music. The room was great, but the TV switched on by itself every 5 minutes, so I had to unplug it, and there was an annoying sound coming from the AC system I think (not loud, but like a mosquito next to your ear, for half of the time every day). Blue taxis that are at the entrance 24/7 are a scam and charge you triple the normal price, and the hotel, far from warning you, bans normal taxis from picking you up at the entrance, so you have to go to the back of the hotel and wait in the sun for your normal taxi to not put the poor drivers in trouble.

Restaurant staff could be trained better. During breakfast and buffet several tables were left with dirty plates for long periods of time while staff just walked past and casually ignored them. When they were eventually collected they were left on a table on the side for long periods. Several items missing in buffet that were not replenished promptly. Manager was on site but didn’t seem to be managing anything, just walking around not paying attention to guests. It was unfortunate as hotel otherwise is very good but our group felt this really let the experience down.

It's a new hotel between the airport and the city of Muscat. Very clean with good facilities. The pool is not a large pool, but it was never busy during our stay. It was kept clean and tidy by the young man working there. The chef in the mornings was very good. He was polite to everyone, and his omelettes were excellent. The food was very good too.

It is located out of Muscat, but we wanted this. You would need a car to get around unless you use a taxi. We had a car, and we found it fairly easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit. We had an issue with the water pressure, and it took 2 days, and it wasn't rectified. We were moved to another room by the duty manager.

I was surprised by the unexpected charge. I booked through Booking.com, where the payment was listed as 684 plus 150 for taxes if paid in Qatari Riyals, or 68 OMR if paid in the property's currency. However, the hotel is now asking me to pay 83.824 OMR, claiming that Booking.com made a mistake by not mentioning additional taxes. Based on the booking confirmation, I believe I should only be required to pay either 684 plus 150 for taxes (if paying in Qatari Riyals) or 68 OMR (if paying in the property's currency). I was pleased when I made the booking, but this situation has left me very disappointed and frustrated. I can’t fully express how unsettled I am by this discrepancy.

The reservations team are very accommodating in ensuring we get the best experience. The have arranged a nice birthday complimentary setup for us, thank you to the HK team as well. The room is clean and interior just wow 🤩 They are quick as well in delivering guest requests even in the middle of the night. FO team allowed us to have a late check out since we checked in a bit late already. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back next time.

- Not sure if it was the standard temperature in the room but around midnight it was showing 22°C and it was definitely warm. - Majority of the tv channels are either arabic or some are not even working that for some who doesn’t understand the local language will not be able to understand

The hotel’s proximity to Muscat International Airport makes it a convenient choice for travelers. Dining options were varied and enjoyable, and the rooftop pool provided a relaxing spot to unwind. Overall, a great option for a stylish and comfortable stay in Muscat.

Probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in at this price point! The room was huge, had a lovely big shower, and enormous bed. Everything was spotless in the room, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Would 100% recommend, and will stay here again if we are coming back to Muscat.

Location - you are not able to walk to any restaurants from the hotel which is a shame, but there is parking below if you have a car, and a restaurant on site if you get really stuck.
