The resort on its own was great. The staff were excellent. Resort was beautiful and well managed.

The beach was terrible. One side was terribly rocky and hazardous for any form of swim. The other side was filled with litter. It was not an inviting beach / sea at all. It took 2 hours from the airport to the hotel.

Staff were AMAZING. Restaurant was fabulous. Great pool area and beautiful sunsets.

Perfect if you have your own transport to explore surroundings. Limited location if you want to venture out of resort. Lots of mosquitoes.

The staff are all excellent, without fault. Very comfortable large seaview room with great shower. Transport provided around the resort which is essential, outstanding.

Two days to fix and then have to replace the in room safe was unacceptable. The terrace light and fan never worked even after repeated requests. When everything is working there are no issues but the skill of their technicians and the speed that jobs are allocated needs substantial improvements.

Excellent resort! Very nice facilities. We stayed in a villa with it's own pool, which I highly recommend. The main pool at the resort was also very nice. There were daily activities like yoga or biking. The villa was large and very well appointed with a beautiful view. There was a private beach which was beautiful and never crowded. There was a shuttle within the resort which was very convenient to use. The staff was top notch. The resort is located in a very quiet (and beautiful) area, a short ride to Walking Street for food and shopping. Tuk tuks were always available just outside the resort entrance to take you there. Very family friendly.

No negatives, loved this place. I will definitely return.

We recently stayed at Avani+ Koh Lanta in a villa with a private pool, and it was an incredible experience. The room was exceptionally spacious, providing plenty of comfort and relaxation. The private pool was a highlight, offering stunning views that made every moment feel extra special. The amenities were top-notch, with high-quality shower products and a powerful hairdryer—small details that made a big difference. The staff were outstanding—always helpful, friendly, and attentive, ensuring our stay was as smooth as possible. Overall, Avani+ Koh Lanta was the perfect mix of luxury and tranquility. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing island escape!

Pool bar service was slow.

Our goal was to find a relatively remote hotel to relax. You could easily walk on the beach to get to other restaurants or bars (a disclaimer: it did take approx 15-20 mins). The place was exceeded our expectations. Friendly staff, amazing breakfast (from pancakes to eggs to noodle soup), clean pool and breathtaking views. Absolutely a hidden gem.

Honestly we cannot complain too much. One comment is that the balcony chairs and pillows were a bit uncomfortable and that the drinks at a pool bar were so so (not tasty not awful, just mid)

Warm staff, gorgeous location, great food, perfect pool and pool bar.

Mosquitoes as it was the monsoon season but it would be nice for the hotel to do some occasional fumigations.

Swim up room was excellent - very clean, very tidy and a good size for a few nights.

Whilst overall the property is very clean and tidy - a couple of times we had pool towels with holes in and stained. Around the swim-up pool there is a orange "tide" mark that rubs off and onto clothing. Breakfast was good - but coffee service was dreadful, very slow and a staff not able to cope with demand of customers. Might be easier to have working machines and give customers direct access than having to order with waiting staff.

We absolutely loved the Avani Plus Koh Lanta. My grown up daughter and I travelled around the South of Thailand for 2 weeks and this was definitely one of our favourite hotels. The staff were all so lovely, kind, and hardworking and made our stay perfect. We upgraded our room to a swim up room, and we loved it. The room was so comfortable, clean we loved the pool access and it was really quiet. The reception were always so helpful and always helped us with transfers and taxis for sightseeing. We only stayed 2 nights, but we would love to come back and stay longer and see more of this beautiful island. Highlights of our trip were visiting a beach with chilled bars, sunset and fireshow. Not sure where it was but the hotel organised the taxi for us and it was wonderful. We also went horseriding with Pirates Bar horseriding, which was recommended to me and was stunning riding on the most beautiful private beach. The restaurant at the hotel was lovely and the food was really good and the breakfast was delicious. The coffee shop was our favourite and we were there every day. We had such a wonderful time at the Avani Plus and the staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you Avani Plus for making our stay perfect 💙

We really loved this property…from the free van pickup at the airport through the entire stay. We had a sea view room and enjoyed the nice light into the rooms as well as the outside private patio. Great breakfast and just a short walk to Long Beach for swimming or just walking barefoot in the sand. We enjoyed the Majestic bar about 20 minutes walk up Long Beach…great fun with oldies playing, a beautiful sunset and happy hour drinks. Easy to get a Tuk Tuk right outside the resort to anywhere in Koh Lanta. We hope to return!!!
