The property is amazing! We were blown away by the welcoming atmosphere and the most friendly staff. The guest house is eclectic in the very best way and the house itself was a perfect labyrinth with some amazing pieces of art. We were amazed when we were offered a free continental breakfast which we very much enjoyed☺️ the place was spotless and if you’re looking for a good value place to stay near Liverpool centre for a night/day out then go check this wonderful wonderland out 👌🥰 A big thanks to Louisa 😇😘 you are possibly one of the nicest people I have ever met 🫶🏼

I have no negatives so instead I will suggest a jacuzzi room in the future 👌🙏🙌

When we arrived to check in the gentleman on reception was very welcoming and noticed as some of us had mobility problems he upgraded us to a ground floor apartment so we didn't have to climb too many stairs and also offered us all free breakfast aswell would definitely recommend this b&b and on our next visit to Liverpool will definitely book again.

The only issue we had was the 4 steps upto the apartment didn't have a hand rail to hold onto but wasn't much of an issue as my sister helped me and my mum down otherwise everything was perfect.

Really nice property over all. Fantastic entrance and dining room. Very polite and helpful staff helped us arrange our vehicles to be first out in the morning. Continental breakfast was available from 7 and very kindly offered for free. Short walk to local supermarket and a couple of pubs nearby. 40 minute walk into the city centre which was OK for a group of 30 somethings. Comfortable beds at the end of a long day.

Room itself was a little dated and our bathroom door didn't close properly. Would have preferred an extra couple of pillows in the wardrobe just in case.

Booked a single room at a heavily discounted rate, but it was a quiet weekend so was offered a free upgrade and simple breakfast. Staff helpful and friendly. Location pretty good for getting into Liverpool centre via bus or half hour walk. Comfy bed and nice touch with ironing board and hairdryer.

Plumbing needs a little work but showering was passable. Also if you're an idiot like me, the varying height ceiling might catch you out 😂

Amazing hosts nothing too much trouble. We needed a taxi one evening and the lady was on the phone constantly until she found us one. The room was warm and comfortable and far exceeded our expectations for a 25 pound a night guest house. We were also given free continental breakfast in the morning...plenty of choice and all branded cereals . Bus stop outside property if you don't want to drive into centre of Liverpool and chippy and grocery store nearby. I honestly cannot fault these lovely people who do everything they can to make you comfortable and welcome.

As far as we are concerned for 25 pound there is nothing to dislike.

The staff were so lovely and kind, couldn’t do more for you. The main rooms are incredible, super old fashioned with some history. The sports bar downstairs is huge, a great place with superb atmosphere! The breakfast was a lovely touch, really enjoyed the selection. We were super cosy too!

Our room could do with a lick of paint and a new floor in the bathroom. Having just blinds on the windows meant it was very light in the morning, I personally don’t mind this however, some may prefer the added darkness curtains offer.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Castle Lodge Guest House, and we must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff, led by Donna, provided exceptional service that exceeded our expectations. Donna and her team were incredibly helpful and friendly, ensuring that we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. They were always available to assist with any inquiries or requests, making us feel well taken care of. One of the highlights of our stay was the charming and cozy atmosphere of the Castle Lodge Guest House. It truly felt like a home away from home. The value we received for our stay at Castle Lodge Guest House was exceptional. The reasonable rates, combined with the top-notch service and comfortable accommodation, made it an excellent choice for our trip. We felt that we received more than we paid for, and that added to the overall satisfaction of our stay.

We got a free upgrade from a 4 single bed rooms to 2 suite rooms with 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds a bathroom toilet and a kitchen area with tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast area was the best ive ever been in whilst using booking.com and the buffet breakfast selection was excellent. They had a football room with 2 pool tables and a large tv. The Host was very friendly and helpful and couldnt do enough to see that we were well looked after. Parking was good and the bus route just outside the hotel took you right into the middle of liverpool. And despite initial views when we first arrived the area seemed ok.

Nothing I would gladly stay here again.

I am very happy with my stay at this wonderful place and receptionist was so kind and lovely, I got the best treatment and felt like I am a welcomed guest. An apartment was very clean, has everything I needed, and an area it’s located in is great and not far away from a city centre. Breakfast was very nice and i loved the design of a breakfast room as well. I highly recommend to stay there.

Everything was fine

Beautiful large room with excellent facilities! Very clean and had absolutely everything I needed (including an iron and ironing board). The hosts were fantastic and the public rooms were really beautifully decorated, so much character! Thank you to extremely friendly and supportive hosts, you were wonderful and it was a delight to stay at the Lodge. Also was highly impressed by the local Indian restaurant - what an unexpected treat!

Tea bags in the room could perhaps be individually wrapped for freshness.
