The staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, they were so friendly helpful and very happy. Just walking in it felt like home. I was first greeted by Jay and he made me feel so at home he took my cases upstairs for me and asked if i needed anything at all to let him know , i had a complimentary continental breakfast served on weekends which was cooked and brought to my table for me which was a nice touch a great selection of cereals and crumpets with an array of spreads yoghurt and juices and not forgetting the crossionts, the ladies were againnvery friendly and helpful, the next morning I was greeted by the loverly Molly well again so happy helpful, i sat downstairs in the lounge/breakfast area until about 9.30pm and she did not stop cleaning, doing the glass doors and polishing the handles cleaning the stairs Vaccuming etc... i will certainly return to this happy friendly hotel 10/10 highly recommended

Great staff, they stored my luggage after check-out for couple of hours too, excellent location (literally next to the Lime street train station) so everything is close, on weekends you are offered complimentary breakfast, the bed was nice and comfy, room was clean and up to standard, had a nice heater too + tea kettle, tv, towels in bathroom and some clothes hangers.

The only negative thing I have to say is regarding the wifi, it was extremely weak at least where I was (2nd floor) and it was only possible to connect when you were basically hugging the wall otherwise the room itselt did not pick up the signal.

Although the hotel is rather dowdy and the lift still doesn't work, the hotel is very clean, and the bedroom is very quiet and comfortable. The price is very reasonable - other hotels are almost double the price. The hotel is very close to Lime Street station, and I always come to Liverpool by train. It is also close to the Walker Art Gallery and Museums, and the excellent Bohne's second-hand bookshop, and not far to walk to the Philharmonic Hall and the cathedrals. The bed had a good reading light - many hotels these days have feeble bedside lights.

There was no breakfast, but this turned out not to be a problem, as I went to Wetherspoon's in Lime Street station which has a huge selection of breakfasts at very reasonable prices, and is only 2 minutes' walk from the hotel. It's time that they got the lift fixed.

I would definitely stay here again. The location was perfect for us as we were arriving by train into Lime Street station and the hotel was just outside the station. The reception staff were so friendly. The room itself was perfectly clean, bigger than expected with a good hot shower although it could have had more water coming out the showerhead but perhaps I'm just used to a different shower at home. Yes, the hotel is needing some painting and renovation, inside and out, but did that affect my stay - no. Definitely didn't put me off and I would book to stay here again.

The hotel is in the centre and a few minutes walk from the train station, it was next to the venue I was visiting and also a short walk if anyone wants to go shopping. The staff were very friendly and helpful

When walking into the hotel, the downstairs is beautiful and up to date, Upstairs could also do with updating to match the reception and dining area. The only issue we had was the stairway and doors were very narrow and the doors were stiff to open and close with not alot of room to go through if only 1 door was opened. But considering all of this, the hotel was lovely and perfect if you want to stay somewhere in the city centre

The staff were warm,friendly and helpful. We were also offered a complimentary continental breakfast, which was very much appreciated. The beds were clean and comfortable. The location was very close to Lime Street railway station. Not too far from the bars and restaurants.

The decor was a little tired, and the hotel was in need of general updating. The lift was out of order when we stayed, so it was a bit of a trek to our rooms. However, the receptionist did help to carry our luggage up the stairs for us. Despite the above, we had a nice time and we would stay there again.

Having stayed at the hotel once before we knew what to expect. The room was large a the beds were comfortable. The tv was huge an there was adequate wifi

The cleanliness of the room was an issue, the bathroom did need a good clean a there did appear to be dried smears of blood on the bathroom wall and mirror. The room was quite dusty and can do with a hoover near the windows. Also I was very itchy in bed and the next day. The price of the room was a lot more than we had paid in the past, due to the grand national an ladies day being on the same dates, put the prices up for here an other hotels. As we did struggle to book anywhere else, this hotel was unfortunately our only option.

Lift didn’t work so had to work up stairs but the staff was really lovely to help us bring our luggage up! Unfortunately TV didn’t work but it was late at night when we tried so didn’t bother trying to fix it. Confusing tap system for the shower but sort of got my head around it. Was loud during the night with rowdy guests but that is not the staffs fault - the staff actually apologised for this when checking out.

Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Rooms very clean basic but we just needed bed for the night after a concert. Couldn't fault staff or rooms other than in need of an update. Would definitely return for a cheeky night away x

Look of building from outside does not give good 1st impression was very weary when saw outside of the building but qas very pleasantly surprised by what I walked into. Floors clean and highly polished, rooms very clean, not even any mark/bits on carpets. Definitely recommended for night .

Hotel looks quite rundown from the outside but looked better on the inside it was in a good location beside the train station but as a female solo traveller id to get taxis late at night or friends to walk me up as its a bit away from going out area and road quite dark and quiet breakfast was good bananas yogurts toast ceral so a good choice and staff very pleasant

It could do with a revamp a few coats of paint and new carpets would work wonders could also do with a good hoover on the stairs
