Location is very good and staff are very nice room is good value for money near train station bars shops ect

To many stairs to climb ok if your on the first floor but when old with disabilities the second and third floor there’s a lot of stairs to climb there’s no lift .asked for first floor by booking .com and booked months in advance are request was not met .

The room we were provided was no 20 it was a lovely family room the beds were very clean and comfortable the room its self was clean well kept with an adjourned on suite the hotel supplied towels shower gel if needed along with hand soap. The hotel also provided tea and coffee facilities. we also had a Tv in good working order we also had access to the hotels WiFi. The staff through out the day along with through the night were very friendly nothing was to much trouble the building was very secure with ctv installed. To be honest we would stay at the Brownlows inn at anytime if we were to visit Liverpool again may I had although our on suite had a shower there was a bathroom available also a separate communal toilet if need house keeping would only enter your room on request which is available daily. The pub is not in the building but only next door very handy there is a strict no smoking policy but there is an area outside available. Very local to the main town centre train station and many bus routes along with the Albert dock. Myself Libby Milner Judith and Brenda would like to thank the Brownlow inn hotel for making our stay so enjoyable it was lovely to return after a day or night out exploring Liverpool to a friendly face on reception .

Nothing as far as we were concerned

Only a few minutes walk from Liverpool line street station. Brilliant! The room was exceptionally clean and in lovely condition, with everything I needed for 1 night. Check in/out was really straight forward and the lady at reception was really friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfy. When I turned up to check in, I was told I’d been given a free room upgrade, how lovely!

Shower wasn’t the most powerful but I understand it is a very old building so it’s not a problem I was told at reception on check in I had to leave either £50 cash or pre authorise my card incase of damage or smoking in the room. Lady says no one is aware of this. And when I got home I checked ALL my emails / messages from the hotel and there’s nothing that says I had to do this. So luckily I had a physical bank card on me! So please make it clear that customers have to have a card to authorise on arrival.

Very fresh/clean, reasonable price and grest location

My room was really small and although i managed, the tv could be better located (difficult to see as was side on to the bed and obscured by my clothing hanging in the open wsrdrobe. I felt it could have been placed elsewhere in the room...eg on a swing wall bracket facing up the bed vs side on. Also, there is a kettle for tea/coffee, however, the toilet washand basin is very small, that the kettle cant be filled from thst source (bottled water needed). It would be helpful if staff at reception mentioned this, or a note was pined in the room etc. Last thing - the shower is very good, however its a step up to get in it. A support rail is needed for less able people, and also, a rubber shower mat is also needed, as the basin is very slippy.

Very central location, close to Liverpool's city center, shopping area, landmarks and pubs/restaurants, as well as to Liverpool John Moores University. The rooms and the bathrooms have been recently renovated. All the staff members are very friendly and helpful. The room I was originally given had a fixed glass on the window that wouldn't open, so the room had an unpleasant odour due to lack of fresh air. The hotel staff kindly moved me to a single room with a window that opens as soon as I asked them. The accommodation offers all the amenities for a pleasant short stay.

The cleanness of the rooms is at good standards but there's room for improvement. The single rooms are quite small and there's no bedside table.

Perfect neat and tidy box room for me . Spotlessly clean bathroom and a comfy single bed. I only stayed a night as I was catching the isle of man ferry but would happily have stayed longer. Great location and reception staff were lovely. Only £32 for the night too. Would recommend this place for anyone on a budget.

This is not a criticism of the hotel at all but due to its location near to loads of pubs and bars . It is in a very noisy area , so for all you light sleepers just bear that in mind . I slept well but I could hear karaoke going on most of the night a few streets away . This is on a Thursday night too.

Have stayed here a few times and each time it's been hassle free and no problems easy to come and go and each member of staff that we deal with have been nice and friendly

Nothing to dislike - its clean, the rooms are small but we already know that - for us it's a bed for the night with a TV and kettle simple and cheerful or as the owner says cheap and cheerful

First of all, the location is simply impeccable. The hotel is a five minutes walk from both railway stations, which was very important for me. There is Tesco and Asda one minute away, as well as some smaller convenience stores around. McDonalds is just two minutes away, and there are many restaurants and pubs in the neighbourhood. It is very close to both City Center and Chinatown, so food wise the choice is very wide. As for tourist attractions, Liverpool Cathedral is 10 minutes walk away, and the center of Liverpool is very walkable, you can easily get to the riverfront in 15-20 minutes. I though that the hotel wasn't exactly easy to find, You go past Adelphi, and turn left. The entrance to the hotel is in the same building as Tesco and fried chicken spot. The hotel sigh is pretty inconspicuous, so it is easy to miss. To get to the building you should either have a key or call a receptionist and confirm your name and reservation, so I think it is pretty secure. The access to the room is also by electronic key, plus it is lockable from the inside. As a female solo traveller, I didn't have any concerns regarding my safety. I would like to notice that all the receptionists I met were incredibly nice and welcoming, especially the person who was there in the morning and afternoon. It was a pleasure talking to them. They also let me leave my luggage in a storage room before check-in and after check-out, so I didn't have to explore the city with my bags. The hotel itself is pretty small. My room was tiny, but it had a double bed and TV with all channels and streaming services. There was also a kettle, mugs, biscuits and tea and coffee supply. The room was clean, the bathroom was surprisingly spacious, with private shower room. The room had panoramic windows with a nice view on the street (the building in front of the hotel was very pretty). Overall, I think it is an incredible option, given the location and the price.

The hotel is located over the karaoke bar, so in the late afternoon and evening you might hear loud music. It did not bother me much, because they usually finished before I went to sleep. I don't think it would be a great inconvenience if you're out exploring Liverpool, but it might be if you're planning on sleeping during the day. In my room, I was also missing a small chair/stool/bedside table - any surface, where I could have put my clothes and some other belongings, which could have not been hanged on coat rack or put on the coffee table.

we were in a bigger room than i thought which was good as it was really warm, - asked for an extra pillow at 11pm and it was brought straight to our room so that was great. stored our bags till the train - pleasant helpful staff.

the window wouldnt open so that was the downside as it was warm but we were only getting our heads down for a night, bathroom smelt a bit drainy but functioned ok - kettle didnt fit in sink to fill it up so had to fill cups with water then fill kettle but wasnt a big deal - nice to have the facilities

Spotlessly clean, cheap as chips, triple room for 3 of us for a little break away. TV in room, shower, clean fresh bedding, fresh towels, nice reception & staff. Located right by Liverpool lime Street Station. Perfect to get about and very central for shops, pubs, clubs restaurants. Lovely staff carried our cases up the stairs for us also. Thanks for a lovely stay, we will definitely be back and would recommend to others also.

Could do with a mirror in the room for us ladies. More hanging space would be a benefit as the hanging space was above the radiator and was scared incase they caught fire when this was put on. Electric radiators could be turned on a timer when the rooms are booked as it was freezing when we got in on the evening.
