Location - perfect. Staff - wonderful. Room good size and spotless. Breakfast superb, plentiful and good selection.

Bath! In this day and age when we need to save both energy and water - change to shower cubicles. Showers over a bath are dangerous as baths are very very slippery. The little patches at the base of the bath are useless. I am disabled and struggle to get over the side of a bath so it extra dangerous for me. But the slippery bath is dangerous for everyone. A wet room is not the answer as that too is slippery. It is of course necessary for wheelchair users. Think of the planet and the people on it!

We are a family of four that arrived for an overnight stay at this hotel. We were in liverpool for a match. All I can is that from check- in to check-out we could not fault one thing. This hotel is central to everything. Opposite lime street train station you have everything from resturants, cafes supermarkets and plenty of shopping right on your doorstep. We had a family room [719] which was so spacious and clean, it had two double beds which were so comfortable and a great view of the city. The breakfast was everything you needed and wanted, hot, tasty and plenty of it with a view looking out over the square outside. What made this hotel for us were the staff, Debbie on reception made check-in seamless and treated us like she knew us all our lives, she is a massive credit to this hotel and I hope she gets the credit she derseves also the lady server in the resturant who comes with the tea and coffee could not do enough, I m sorry I did nt catch her name. All the staff I came across especially in the resturant really work hard to make you welcome. I would love to return to hotel and I ve already recommended it to friends.

Location was ideal as it was directly opposite the train station about a 4-5 minute walk. Very useful particularly for a snowy and icy January. Room was a standard twin room, very clean and all the facilities listed at the time of booking, kettle, towels toiletries etc. Brilliant breakfast with lots of choice and daily specials, and with exceptional staff on hand to welcome you and make you feel comfortable. Hotel also provided additional heating and blankets for the colder nights. A great hotel to stay in, staff were incredible from reception to housekeeping & hospitality. Would stay here again. A very heartfelt thank you.

I found the standard bathroom small and would have preferred a more roomy one, maybe a superior room would have been a bit bigger. Everything else was great.

Checking in was swift and very welcoming. The room was perfect, clean, warm and everything we needed for a comfortable night. The hotel is situated near the station and also lots of restaurants and an easy walk to the docks. The staff were lovely, very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was great. We were able to leave our luggage on our departure day so that helped us enjoy more time exploring Liverpool without having to drag our suitcase around. A special mention to the lady who we met at breakfast who when we returned to collect our suitcase helped us retrieve it quickly as there was a queue at the check in desk and this helped us get our train on time, amazing staff all round , Thank You.

It was a very good central location. Without any exceptions all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable with a view over the city landmarks. The hotel also benefited from a secure car park located next door, for which you could get a reduced parking rate.

These are niggles rather than complaints. Our room was quite warm and we couldn’t open the window as it appeared to have a broken hinge. The breakfast was ok, but we felt it could have been a little better. Amongst the options for the cooked breakfast there was a choice of two types of sausage and bacon, but there was no option of a vegetarian sausage. The continental breakfast was nice. The hotel was not without vegetarian/vegan options but the vegan VLT club sandwich we had was very, very dry and the middle slice of bread in the club sandwich did nothing to help in that regard.

The quick check-in arrived early, so I was able to get an early check-in room. It was great, very spacious. We had a room with 2 double beds for comfort and very clean loads of towels in bathroom dove shampoo, which made my hair feel really soft . We had booked the evening meal which was 3 courses and you could pick anything on the menu, food came great portions taste fabulous was real full afterwards breakfast was buffet style also was great could not falt it a great stay high recomend

If I had to be picky their was no plug socket near the bed and no charging points, also near the bed

Perfect city centre location. Directly across from the train station and everything within easy walking distance. Plenty of shops, coffee houses and restaurants nearby. The staff are lovely and very helpful.

Unfortunately the weather was very cold and the centrally controlled heating for the room was not adjusted accordingly. An electric heater was offered but there was literally one electric socket in the room and the TV had to be unplugged and given up to stay warm. Knowing this the hotel should provide extension cords automatically when offering heaters.

Check in...PERFECT. Room...PERFECT. Staff... BRILLIANT. Breakfast...PERFECT. Location...PERFECT. Check out...PERFECT. this is the best few days break my wife and I have had, ever. All of this is down to our experience with the Holiday Inn. The location is amazing, and the staff are so friendly (nothing was a problem to them). Checked out but still had about 5 hours to wait for our train...not a problem, they have a secure room to put our luggage in until we leave for our train. We will DEFINITELY be back. Nothing. It was PERFECT

Staff were amazing. I went there with my friend for her 90th Birthday, Staff went above and beyond to make it special for her. No words I could say would be good enough, they just made her feel so special on the day and each day after until it was time to leave everything was just perfect . I had stayed at the hotel before and was impressed , I didn't hesitate to book again. I have to say A huge thank you to all the staff for making our stay such a special one.

Absolutely nothing, except for one little thing, which was no big deal, no walk in showers, as we were only there for 4 days it was not a big problem. We were too old to climb into the bath.

Very good location once you can find the way in ( see below). The staff are excellent.

I have stayed here on many occsasons in the past but had a break of a few years during which a shopping centre has been bult around the hotel. I spent ages looking for the entrance. Clear instructions on finding the way in should be provided with confirmation. The new carpet was so thick that it was difficult to open and close the wardrobe doors. Some of hot breakfast was not very hot- same with my rarebit lunch. I reported all the issues and the staff were most concerned and took action immediately.
