Way to get to from train station , didn’t have to walk too far , staff very friendly , nothing was any hassle to them if you asked about anything to do with the room/ hotel

Air conditioning wasn’t working , panel left off the front of the both , thought it was gonna be a walk in shower

Good location helpful staff, parking right on site.lovely breakfast. Really nice bath, comfortable bed and panoramic view.

Decor was really odd, and tatty, loose coving, pink paint everywhere ,bit strange having mirrors on the ceiling and in the bath. Know it was a theme room but was the theme orgy, not sure! It was cold too, difficult to heat a massive space and very noisy from other rooms. Only one chair, and a coffee table in a really big room. Kettle and cups in the wardrobe, really strange, no complimentary water, so strange for an expensive room. It's the Shankly hotel, saw very little related to either Bill Shankly or LFC tbh.

Friendly staff, lovely room, very local . Reasonable cost

Restaurant was closed Sunday evening but staff did recommend an alternative which was lovely

Room was huge and was a free upgrade from the one we booked. The beds were very comfortable. Shower excellent. No noise from adjoining rooms, staff very helpful.

Room decor was a bit shabby, air con initially wasn't working which wasn't great when we first arrived all hot and bothered from the walk from the train station in the heat (but was repaired upon request.) Bathroom fine but only one toilet roll provided at a time, with three children this ran out very quickly. Wasn't aware toilet roll rationing was in effect in Liverpool! Spa bath a bit disappointing as the power level knob didn't seem to do anything (and the hot/cold tap fell off upon touching it!). Television was difficult to use and very little choice of channels for the kids (disappointing on a night when us parents wanted a little bit of peace!)

I think u have such lovley down to earth staff exspecailly the manger who seen us in the lift and congrats us as we gor married on Saturday he gave us a drink on the house thought that was so nice and u have amazing staff in the morning for breakfast lovley down to earth ladys such a pleasure of meeting them really was they will go the extra mile to help anyone so

Firsty I would love to thank the 2x ladys who served me and my husband for our breakfasts the 2x times we stayed they was really down to earth helpful and happy was lovley to see they would go the extra mile to make ur morning time the best thank u to you both also a big shout out to the manager who gave me and my husband on the house drinks as we got married on Saturday was really thoughtful u should be proud of ur staff in there great team and u need to pay ur chef more he is one good cook WOW 👌 lol the room was pleasant and tidy was fab we love the shankly hotel and we won't go anywhere else just the bests in liverpool Thanks again to u all x

Pretty much everything, it a hotel end of the day and it provides the service it offers. Clean and comfortable.

Room 104 is haunted. Woken at 5.30am too loud bangs on the door. Jumped out of bed and swung the door open while knocking noise was happening and wasn't a soul to be seen or heard anywhere on the corridor... take from that what you will.if

The Shankly Hotel is in a fantastic location and makes a great first impression with its beautiful exterior and interior design. At first glance, our room looked stunning, and the overall decor throughout the hotel is visually appealing. However, once inside, it becomes clear that the hotel needs some maintenance and refurbishment. The floors in our room were lifted, and various areas showed signs of wear and peeling. Despite this, the room was clean, and the beds were both clean and very comfortable, which made for a good night's sleep. Overall, the hotel has great potential and a lot of charm, but it would really benefit from some updates and repairs to match the high standard it aims to present.

Can’t beat this location. It’s a beautiful building and the reception area looks great with props and insta friendly photo ops for my daughter and friends. Warm welcome from staff. Our room was a great size and although it was a bit more basic than I was expecting, it worked for us. Huge jacuzzi bath was wasted on us but looked fab! The car park was so easy to find and three storeys deep! Massive!

It didn’t put us off, but this is a hotel that caters for hen and stag groups predominantly, so expect lots of people, and lots of noise in the public areas. That said, the room was quiet and the small wait for lifts wasn’t unreasonable either.

Well what can i say about the Shankly this hotel is something else if you are into football you must visit this hotel, The bedroom was massive as we had a family room with plenty of space and in the bathroom was a Jacuzzi bath tub and the boys had a blast and we didn't have breakfast and the location of this hotel is super as you turn the corner and walk down the little street and that's you in the centre of town and it has it's own parking with is 15 pound for 24 hrs plus vat as it's a private company that runs it so £17.50 for 24 hrs and the price was great too.
