Excellent service

£100 Additional costs for use of the swimming pool I’ve never stayed at a hotel which didn’t include the swimming pool and as soon as I paid for the room I received an email advising it would cost an additional £100 for allocated swimming slot

HOTEL Great location. Beautiful building. Friendly efficient staff. Comfortable bed. Nice cocktails. Good value WOULD RECOMMEND

Buffet breakfast cold. Spa experience terrible. £50 for 3hours, no lockers had to leave bags in office & collect wearing wet swimsuits. No towels available on arrival, had to collect from reception wearing wet swimsuit & only had 2 towels for 3 of us! No loungers available had to wait 1 hour then got 2 for 3 of us. No water so back to reception AGAIN, told to share with other guests (all had empty jugs & were waiting on refills) Pool was FREEZING! Spa staff uninterested bordering on unresponsive. I would say overbooked 20+ people in Spa using 1 mirror 5 changing rooms & nowhere near enough lockers. Hotel thumbs up SPA ATROCIOUS

Our stay was amazing, we was checked in by a really helpful and lovely lady who went above and beyond to help us feel welcome. Our room was amazing, quiet, comfortable and exactly as I'd hoped for. The location of the hotel is also great with walking to pretty much everywhere you want to visit inside the city centre really easy. The hotel itself is full of character but also modern, clean, really great standard throughout.

Parking could be better for the hotel as it almost cost £150 just to keep our car there, it would be good if the hotel had either its own car park or subsidised costs to help people staying. I feel that the use of spa facilities should also be in the cost of your stay rather than extra and in fairness the price of the spa facilities is really expensive which i feel could do with looking into.

The staff were very friendly & helpful, room clean, comfy bed & good bedding l & had everything we needed which included a nice cool fridge which is always great Very nice old hotel which is well maintained, in a great location within walking distance of train station, River & Cavern club & lots of other food places & pubs. Stayed for 1 night but will definatly be back great place to visit.

If I was to say anything I think the cost of the pool is very expensive. We usually like to use the pool where we stay but didn't here.

Great location, gorgeous hotel. Beds. And pillows very comfortable. Bar staff, Tristan and Josh were amazing.

Breakfast time, there was flys round the fruit, yogurt, they needed to be delt With. How you couldn't use the pool, you had to pay more to Use the spa.

I didn’t know the pool was not included ,and that to use the pool is £50 per person ,it should state this when booking ,as £50 to get in some water is very expensive

The surcharge to use the pool and spa. Whist it is a superb facility, the hotel could offer a free or better discounted offer for longer stays.

The first thing I would like to say is that the staff were fabulous. You have recruited great staff who, when issues are reported to them, just make the effort to resolve them. A particular shout out to the breakfast staff, especially the male member of staff on the Saturday and Sunday who went above and beyond (sorry, I can't remember his name). The reception staff were also fabulous every single one of them!

OK, let's give you some constructive feedback and taking into account the fact that you have only been open for business for 9 weeks: 1) No information sheet in my room 2) No breakfast tea bags in the tea tray 3) No fresh milk, which I would expect in a 5* hotel (albeit that the bar staff made sure I had some every day) 4) No telephone in the room (I believe this was a maintenance issue) and the staff were most apologetic

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times we love it.... yesterday we were celebrating my partner's 50th birthday the staff had left a note and some cakes in the room which was a lovely touch...and when we arrived home in the evening the curtains had been closed and slippers were left out for us....we will continue to visit this hotel it is the best hotel in Liverpool..

The only one fault I could say and I've noticed this before is the lack of mirrors in the rooms....maybe even just a vanity mirror close to plug sockets for applying makeup and styling hair...that's the only negative about the municipal x
