Great location, friendly staff. Room smelt a bit like cigarettes.. overall very clean and a bargain for the price. Location is perfect for the bars on Mathew St. Ask for the discount for parking in the Moorfields ncp carpark.. it makes a huge difference! Otherwise, if you have the ncp app, you get 12 hours parking on a Saturday and Sunday for £4.95. otherwise it's £24.95 for 24hrs mon-fri (12am to following 12am is classed as 1 day, if you park at 11pm.. it will charge you 24 hours after midnight).. (discount ticket knocks off £10.95 per day so very helpful!)

I loved the hotel location and the staff were absolutely amazing , super friendly and there was always someone waiting to greet at reception. They tagged our luggage as we arrived before check in. It was very clean even the lifts smell fresh and it was literally just a cross over the road to get to Mathew street leading you to the main town. But far enough out you didn't hear music from the night life

Only one plug in the double room so bring an adapter and you have to be pretty comfortable with the person your sharing with as the bathroom is just a glass sliding door with frosted glass so not very noise proof .

I had a health issue during my first night at the hotel. Although the room had a window, as an allergy sufferer it wasn’t suitable for my needs. The amazing staff responded immediately to my request and arranged a room change for a very reasonable fee. The second room was absolutely perfect, and I didn’t need to take any medication during my stay. I’ve since enjoyed two great nights there and really appreciated the care and attentiveness of the team.

The Wi-Fi was quite temperamental. If you need to do some work, it can be a bit nerve-racking not wanting to rely only on hotspotting from your phone.

We had booked a hotel with travelzoo which was cancelled by the hotel two days before we were due to travel. We picked the z hotel and were really pleased with our choice the rates were good the room was very clean and comfortable. Our television didn't work and eithan came straight to the room and fixed it. All the other staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect restaurants just around the corner Matthew st a five minute walk away. We would definitely recommend I'm in the process of becoming a member.

My sister and I stayed last November,so we knew it was a good choice of hotel this time. The room is small but immaculate and comfortable. Location is excellent for visiting all the major attractions,although we are Liverpool born, so have been to many of them. However,we have family in the city,so it is nice to meet them from a central location. It is always great to return to Liverpool because the city has a vibe you will not find anywhere else,plus the friendliness of Liverpudlians is legendary.

The bed seemed a little smaller this time,I would describe it as a small double. I forgot to book direct this time so didnt take advantage of the 10% diacount plus other offers. Next time I visit,later in the year, I'll make sure I book direct.Otherwise I would highly recommend this hotel as an excellent choice for anyone visiting Liverpool for business or leisure.

I arrived at the hotel late, around 11:30 PM after a 4.5-hour drive ( so I was tired ) and was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and efficient the experience was. The café was still lively and the two staff members on duty were incredibly friendly, professional and helpful — they really made a great first impression despite the late hour. Check-in was smooth and well-organised. I was lucky to find parking right outside and the receptionist helped me with a parking pass that gave a great discount, which was much appreciated. I dropped my bags in the room, came back down for the pass and everything was handled without fuss. I left at 11:30 AM the next morning after a quick shower — so it was a short stay, but everything about it was easy, comfortable, and positive. I’d absolutely stay again.

Great location, rooms are clean albeit no access to fresh air

No windows.. no fresh air , sink was blocked

This is a lovely hotel. Made all the better by the staff that work there. The moment you arrive you are made to feel very welcome. Special thanks to the following Staff who are a credit to Z Hotels. Matthew Goku Emma Iona David Jess They were all so kind to me during my stay as I had, had an accident before I arrived at the hotel and was in considerable pain during my stay They did everything possible to help me. I was even offered a mattress topper to try to make me more comfortable. Each and every one deserves a huge thank you

I didnt dislike anything

Very comfy bed; shower was epic; coffee was good for machine coffee, bar was great; location between the city centre and the riverside was perfect. Nice places for breakfast nearby, so that wasn't any much of a loss. Great value, even "paying extra" for a room with a window.

Paying extra for a window was a bit measly, and some of the cleaning staff were a bit unfriendly, but reception / bar staff were lovely, and the all-round experience was tippety-top-tiptop. So, a solid place overall, and I would stay there again and recommend to my mates. Thanks!

Great little single room for a one night stay. Central location. Requested a nice view and got a nice one of liver building etc. Free bottle of water so saved me having to pick one up on way home. Sky tv, bed was comfy. For the price was a bargain. Clean and tidy.

Lift took ages to get up and down. Everything was a bit small and compact, from the foyer to the room, it was perfect for one person, but would maybe have been a bit small if travelling with my wife. Cheap and cheerful tho, and you get what you pay for.
