We stayed in a superior suite which was such a good size! It was huge - with a king size bed, two large couches, a table with chairs and a large dressing table! The room was spotless and the bed and pillows were really comfortable Location is perfect, very central with a short walk to most places. Lots of places to eat & drink outside

Obviously we knew before we booked but the location is on a busy street with bars and restaurants and our room was on the front of the hotel. Had our stay of been on a Friday/Saturday night we would have either asked to move rooms or changed hotel completely due to the noise. We stayed on a Sunday night so the only noise problem really was the bin men super early in the morning outside! We would have liked breakfast in our room also, as we had seen images online of breakfasts in people's suites however on checking in we were told the trays couldn't be carried upstairs and we would have to come down to the lounge to eat. The rooms are decorated quite dark, and the only lights are two bedside lamps and the lights around the mirror on the dressing table.

Pleasant and friendly staff. Spacious. Extremely comfortable and huge bed. Spacious bathroom. Powerful shower. Delicious breakfast with choice of cooked or continental. Room service. Iron and ironing board in room. Clean. Good location with restaurants, shops, cafes and train station all within walking distance. Amazing cocktails served in the bar. Would definitely return.

The only negative would be that the room was quite dark. Plenty of windows in the room but only lamps and dressing table lights. This could possibly be due to it being a listed building. Not sure if it is, but no ceiling lights and original windows tends to lean towards this.

Loved the location, as central as you can get and everything we wanted was within walking distance. The hotel itself was absolutely spotless and the room was gorgeous! The staff were attentive, polite, and welcoming. Fair prices on the minibar with soft drinks at £2. Great selection of drinks. We got our room at a great rate of almost 50% off!! Will be booking again and highly recommend.

Totally get why the damage deposit is required, but would rather not have a hold of £100 on my bank account for a few days. This literally is the only thing I wasn't keen on.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff were really helpful and nice. The room was gorgeous and the bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. It is in such a central location and is so close to shops, restaurants and public transport. Would love to come back to this hotel on our next visit

There was nothing I didn’t like. The only thing was the shower was a bit small for my boyfriend he’s 6’4 and really had to bend under it. I’m 5’7 and could stand under it and it was so nice the pressure was amazing. That’s the only issue but if you’re under 5’7 you won’t need to contort yourself it’s amazing.

62 Castle Street Hotel was a fab find - my room was lovely & spacious - Bed was very comfy - The staff were friendly - wouldn't hesitate to stay again... Parking is a few streets away but not too far & heavily subsidised.

1) Small minor things - When ordering my breakfast the night before you get asked preferences if you're gonna ask for preferences make sure they are adhered too. I had breakfast in my room which was a great option. But It felt difficult to change anything when it was wrong. 2) When booking it says plug sockets are by bed which i like as a plus but were only on the dressing table & walls away from the bed.

Hotel was just amazing. Decor was stunning, especially the Christmas tree and decorations. The staircase was just beautiful, infact the whole hotel was just amazing even down to the decor in the public toilet, Rooms were spotless and loved the style. This hotel has everything down to a tee. The breakfast served in the room was a beautiful touch, eating breakfast overlooking the Victoria memorial and breakfast was delicious, What can I say about the staff, OMG !!! Could not do enough for us and so friendly. I met 4 of them on our 3 day stay, and they were all the same, customer service second to none. This hotel alone would make us make another trip to Liverpool xxx

The staff were very friendly,and genuinely helpful. All the staff from receptionists to cleaners were a credit to the hotel. Location could not have been better. Everything was within an easy walk. We are in our 70s and found restaurants, bars, shops all very accessible. Parking was a 5minute walk away at Moorefields NCP car park. The receptionist gave us a discount ticket which reduced overnight parking from £20 to £9 per night. We booked a King Suite for 2 nights. We could not fault the room at all. It was large and very roomy with a huge bed. Comfy sitting area with sofa T.V. table and chairs and a desk. Really great value for money.

Our only problem was that we did not stay long enough. We will definitely return.

The room was lovely and very clean. Bed was comfortable which I always worry about with hotels. Location, I couldn’t have asked for better. We could see Marks and Spencer’s less then 100m away, straight in town and it was perfect. Parking wasn’t far away and the discounted parking was amazing. Ezra and Gill across the road for breakfast on your way out of check out as well.

It is above a nightclub/bar. We were not aware of this. The music was so loud we could make out every song that was being played. Don’t expect to trying to get to sleep before 12pm, the music quietened then but we could still hear it If you’re a light sleeper like me it was extremely difficult to relax and sleep, when the club closed at 3pm you could then hear everyone being kicked out and screaming in the street.

The room itself was far bigger than I had expected with a lovely sofa and tv to watch. Alongside this they provided us with lovely bathrobes for the shower/bath and complimentary water and lindt chocolate. Will definitely be booking again if we visit Liverpool in the future, best place we have stayed and it has the comfiest bed and pillows

Nothing we didn't like, just be aware you have to pay a decent deposit on your room once you arrive in case you damage anything. Had a little confusion with working the shower as there was controls on the wall that don't work and you're meant to use the taps instead but it didn't make the stay any less enjoyable. Be aware that there is a lift just out of view, you need to go through the small bar/lounge area all the way to the back and it's on the right. We weren't aware of this at first and it's very useful when you're on the top floor

Continental breakfast nicely presented with corn flakes juice' fruit and yoghurt, and some ok pastries fruit juice and coffee. Room was huge!

Our room was over the bar - which the hotel warned us about in time to cancel, but as they said it went quiet at midnight so not too bad. Bizarrely Booking.com tried to get us to pay extra for a room with a toilet! The hotel confirmed our room had one and in fact we had a bathroom with free standing bath and 2 sinks and a shower room with sink and loo - so what was that about ,booking.com?
