Staff couldn't be more helpful. Little Sue and Big Sue on reception couldn't do enough. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was huge. Brand new TV with all the apps you need. Nespresso machine as well. The castaway bar downstairs is worth a visit, especially at happy hour. We are local to Liverpool, and we hate getting a taxi home and always stay out. We usually stay down in the Albert Dock but will definitely be switching to this hotel for future visits. Car park was included but it's next to lime street train station so we can travel here easily.

We were located at the back of the hotel on the 6th floor. The noise from the train station is pretty loud, even with the window closed. I'd ask for a room at the front of the hotel next time. There was no air con, but the window opened, and there was a huge fan in the room.

We have stayed at the Liner Hotel on several previous occasions. We always find the front of house reception staff to be very professional and helpful. Our room on the 6th Floor was comfortable with a great shower, large TV, plenty of hanging space, a safe and a view across Lime Street Station to the wider skyline. The room was extremely warm (we should have requested a fan) but it was a nice comfortable room and we were more than happy. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel breakfast especially the freshly cooked items and were pleased to find that the toasting machine was at a setting for perfect golden toast (which a rarity in so many hotels). Having primarily booked the hotel because we were attending a theatre show on the Saturday, we also had the pleasure of attending the free entry Record Fair at the hotel on the Sunday morning. We will certainly be back.

Loved the decor, it was like cabins and decks - excellent wall art/prints inside the rooms. Rooms are lovely, decent sized. Beds and bedding was extremely comfortable. Loved the towels as they went round all of my body, not just half of it! The place was immaculate, everywhere was spotlessly clean. The Castaway bar food was delicious - we did not sample the food on the restaurant. Drinks were reasonably priced. Staff were happy and very helpful - shows they enjoy where they work!

The room was very clean, the hotel had parking right next door, a fan in the room which was great as it was too noisy to leave window open (the room was v warm) and this acted as white noise AND helped with the temperature so we slept like babies, good buffet breakfast. Good pillows and although the mattresses were a bit softer than I usually have, they were v comfortable. Great having a fridge and tea making facilities in the room.

No plugs or USB ports anywhere near the beds and didn’t like the crowd of smokers at the entrance when we arrived as the whole reception stank of cigarette smoke. It wasn’t as bad the rest of our stay

Very clean and comfortable. Upgraded on arrival and the super king bed was amazing! The hotest temperatures all week and sadly no air conditioning in the bedrooms but large fans were supplied which only circulated the hot air lol! The food and meals in the Seven Seas restaurant were excellent but staff were overwhelmed by the start of Tina the musical in the theatre next door and offering pre-theatre meals which caused a lot of disgruntled customers waiting over an hour for their food and unable to wait and finish before rushing to theatre.

The lack of air conditioning in such high temperatures and bedroom window can only open a short way

Excellent location and a great buffet breakfast hot and cold choices on offer and a good selection of hot and cold drinks We spent 2 nights at location and had a great time in the cast away bar where selected drinks were 2 for 1 during the happy hour period which was a bonus Also had the fish & chips both evenings which were well worth the price All the staff at the hotel were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and we will definitely stay at the hotel again when we next visit Liverpool There is secure car parking available on sight free of charge for guests but it can be very busy at times

No negatives to mention

We spend alot of time in Liverpool as it's my favourite place to be, this is our 3rd stay at The Liner Hotel, and, by far, it's the best place we've stayed, it's beautifully clean and tidy, the beds are to die for! My husband is generally a really early riser, but, on our first night there he didn't get out of bed until 1pm! It was seriously comfy though 😁 it is perfectly situated and has a complimentary car park, but, if that's full then there are 2 more paying car parks pretty much next door, the staff are super helpful and friendly with nothing too much trouble, we always go early to midweek as it's great value for money, although obviously weekends are a little more expensive, if you don't drive this hotel is right next door to Liverpool Lime Street Station, with plenty of public transport links and taxi services All in all an absolute must and I'll be re-booking soon

I can't really find anything i don't like concerning the hotel itself, what i would say is that, if you have mobility issues then it is on a bit of a incline and it can be a little steep

Great staff, always helpful and friendly

I've stayed at the Liner several times and had good rooms but this one was not up to their usual standard. It looks tired, damaged wall paper, peeling paper under window, grubby marks along top of trim over bed and behind TV. The hair dryer was missing. There is often noise from air trapped in pipes and there's frequent sound ( day and night) of what sounds like a vacuum cleaner turning on for about 10 seconds. These things are not major issues but when compared with the rooms I have had previously they made the stay less enjoyable

location. literally yards from Lime St. Station and relatively quiet but we always take ear plugs as we like the window open.. staff super friendly and helpful. Good breakfast too. Lovely large TV for when the weather was awful one night. Small fridge, complimentary bottled water and cookies as well as shower gels etc. Lively crisp linen. Very clean with daily house keeping. Shower was pretty decent too. Easy tu use safe in the adequate wardrobe. Overall, an ideal spot just 10 minutes walk from everywhere.

lack of light in the room/bathroom (speaking as a lady) no mirror at the desk and plug not near enough to the mirror in the hall for hair dryer. Beds too soft (but that's just my personal preference)

Reception staff were lovely,very helpful and always had a smile. The room was well presented,had everything needed for a great stay.Room service was brilliant,the food we ordered arrived hot and it was delicious. Didn't have breakfast but if the room service food was anything to go by it must have been nice.Location was great for exploring liverpool and excellent for the train station. Liverpool is a fantastic city and this hotel matched it. Will definately book again whenever we are in the city. Thankyou to all the staff you are a credit to The Liner.
