Overall staff was amazing and friendly for a higher rated hotel - The room was immaculately clean along with superior bedding - 1st floor cafe area that serves breakfast was such a blessing and that staff who works it was great along their crepes were so good. The walking distance to Park Ave and the Winter Park, park is the primary reason for staying there.

Was super disappointed due to the entire 2nd floor main deck area with seats and beautiful lights set up around the pool was closed once dark. Which this time of year is super early! We planned to grab coffee and snacks of Park Ave and bring back to play games as a family to relax + my daughter had a college photography project to do night sky shooting and was going to setup on the corner of the deck while we hung out. We were unable to do this at all and no one ever told us we could have gone to a firepit area in a courtyard that we did not know about. The double queen beds room we were told had a small love seat like couch between the beds for seating and it did not have this only a corner single chair which was difficult to relax in the room.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Great location for us.

The only thing that concerned us was the loud closing of self-closing room doors at early and late hours. I urge the facilities manager to investigate 'softening' the door closers or provided better cushion seals on the room doors as it reminded me of a cheap hostel when being woken up at 6am or 2am by a loud self-closing door. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.

Great location, beautiful design, filled with stunning art

Our receptionist, upon check-in, could not have been less “welcoming”. We asked for an early check-in and received a cold reply…instead of…we will try our best etc. we got a robotic response about 4 pm check-in and a distinct feeling we were annoying. Really off putting. It wasn’t the no…it was her delivery.

The room was bright, spacious, and artful — several original pieces. The hotel lobbies are filled with world-class modern art, with a number of new, vibrant works since I was last there. The new coffee shop serves tasty pastries and espresso drinks. And the brunch in its main restaurant, Hamilton’s Kitchen, was superb. It is just a great hotel.

We had a fantastic time. We celebrated New Years Eve there... great time, food exceptional. Music made my dance, and he hates to dance.. Alfond is worth visiting while in the area! Walk around Winter Park to visit the shops.. I live in Orlando and would still stay overnight.....

Staff was not as informed as they should have about the event going on at their facility... but they always knew who to ask for answers a SUPER PLUS on the way they manage the Alfond!

Everyone was so friendly, and smiling all the time. The food was excellent, the accommodations also excellent. I love the way they decorated the lobby with some great art. Here’s the best part. The hotel is a non-profit. All the profits go to scholarships to Rollins College students, a small, local, liberal arts college. It felt good to be part of that process, knowing that my expenses at the hotel (which can compete with any others) goes to students trying to jump start their careers rather than give the money to some corporation.

The gorgeous Alfond Inn is located close to the historic and and charming Park Avenue. The hotel is dog friendly and features lovely grounds for strolling, dining, cocktails, or walking dogs. There are exquisite and unique art installations throughout the hotel. The atrium is positively gorgeous - featuring a grand piano and prismatic art globes that cast brilliant colors throughout. There is a very good restaurant and bar within the hotel and room service is also an option. Meeting and confers rooms are also available. The valet staff is remarkable; the service and professionalism is top notch. The entire hotel staff is gracious and efficient. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase in the lobby. There is also an ATM if needed.

While the hotel is dog friendly, I do wish there were dog waste stations somewhere on the grounds. There aren’t any outdoor trash cans for disposal and I don’t want to bring the dog waste bag inside for disposal. When walking downtown this isn’t an issue, but for late night or early morning quick outings with a pet, it is a conundrum.

The location and the staff. The staff and young men who handled the valet parking were exceptional. The Cafe has exceptional staff as well and very good value for money

There is nothing I didn’t like. Everything was lovely, although I did wish the restaurant closed later instead of at 9

Service was great. Valet parkers excellent. front desk also. it's our favorite spot for our second night destination when traveling from jersey to florida.

the elevator on the left had a stain on the floor, could have been from someone's dog and it was never cleaned while we were there Sunday to Monday.

Almost everything. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the location is ideal. The staff overall were very friendly.

The bathtub was quite slippery and the hair dryer was kind of useless. The staff at the bar area were very nice but changed every nite. The same with the staff at the front desk.
