Where do I start, the property is amazing and very well kept by the friendly staff. When you initially look at an old building, you expect older looking rooms but this wasn’t the case, all rooms have been renovated and certainly a five star look and feel. The gardens are epic! It had a feel of being in a scene of sense and sensibility period tv piece when you strolled around with a glass of champagne from the wedding. I’ll just finish this by, the staff are exceptional. It is lost on a lot of hotels sadly that a simple good morning or a smile actually goes a million miles with guest and the garvock staff did this in abundance. Very happy with that. Overall this was a brilliant stay.

If I had one thing to change and speaking around other guests who’ve come from across the world. Whiskey selection at the bar. There is a ok selection of single malt on sale, 5-6 different bottles if I remember however for a Scottish hotel who attracts international guests, I think a trick is missed here and a chance to take money in at the bar from people who are willing to be spending little more money than usual when at weddings and staying the weekend. Compared to other venues in Scotland who will have a minimum of 25+ selections. This by no means spoiled the stay, I’ll just highlight that. Just an extra earning avenue for a fantastic hotel to look at.

From the moment of arriving at the hotel, we were impressed. The grounds and hotel were beautiful. The building is quirky with lots of lovely rooms and space to relax. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had booked dinner and it was absolutely fabulous. Our rooms were large and spacious and everything was spotless. I was concerned that this hotel hosted weddings and that we’d be disturbed by noisy guests; we had requested quiet rooms and that is exactly what we got. The choice for breakfast was excellent and we were spoilt for choice and quality. I highly recommend Garvock House Hotel and will definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel within a central location for our requirements, good quality breakfast and the evening meal was of an equal standard, however the most standout factor at this establishment has got to be the staff at every area ,reception, restaurant, bar ,housekeeping, and special recognition for the team at breakfast who were exceptional.

Unfortunately, I had booked to stay at this establishment primarily based on the the location although another key factor was the information received prior to booking that there were electric vehicles chargers within the grounds, sadly this was not the case and we were required to seek out a suitable EV charger which caused us several issues including a lengthy delay in leaving the city.

The room was outstanding, I was lucky enough to end up in the honeymoon suite and this was a real treat after a long day! The hotel gardens are beautiful, last time I visited it was winter and it was really lovely to see it in daylight / sunshine with the garden in bloom. Breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit including strawberries, I chose eggs benedict and this was delicious. Staff were all helpful and pleasant. I have recommended to all my friends.

No lift, but if this was an issue for anybody there are ground floor rooms so don't let this put you off. I was offered assistance to take my bag upstairs which I declined.

Lovely clean room. Really comfortable bed. Lovely old building and grounds. Slightly old fashioned but lovely friendly hotel. It says it is family run and it has that feel to it - like nothing is too much trouble for the friendly staff. Good value for money, and the food and wine were also a good standard and good value. Would definitely stay here again.

Our room (we had room 1 on the ground floor) was a little noisy as it is close to the kitchen. We are both light sleepers - this might not bother some people. Would also be great if they had a few electric car charging points in the car park.

Beautiful building and grounds. Secluded location that was very peaceful. All the staff that we encountered were extremely pleasant and helpful. There was an excellent spread at breakfast and the waiting staff were brilliant, attentive and very polite. Cooked breakfast was prepared to order.

My wife thought the room smelled a bit musty, but I thought it was the type of cleaning products used that caused the smell. It was quite expensive for what we got. I thought the bed was soft at first but I slept well in it, so not really an issue.

I booked a stay last-minute when some plans changed. Opted for this above a TravelLodge or similar. It was marginally cheaper but has a bit more character. Staff dealt gracefully with a late check-in which is always appreciated. The room was an ample size, bed was comfortable and sockets were in sensible places. The shower was hot with good flow. The hotel has some open space out front with some tables - would be nice in the summer months.

Nothing to complain about really. My only snag was that I forgot to ask for a wifi password before turning in for the night. It would have been helpful to have had that somewhere in the room but I couldn't find any trace of it.

The hotel was very clean, facilities were very good staff excellent.

Cant do anything about location which was fine , but I wanted something to eat i.e a macdonalds as I was there for burns supper. I would have had to drive to find a macdonalds but the hotel said they do one. It was great but price was unexpected over £25 ok I had 1 pint of beer £6.75 and the burger/chips was £16 +, you may say thats not £25 but there was an additional charge of £2.75 for cheese which I thought was expensive. Only other issue which is not a complaint or immediate problem, the paint above shower was substantialy flaking off and you could see small mould patches. Obviously wrong paint had been used reported it as I left and they said wolud get maintence on it.

It's a really pretty hotel and the room is also very nice, with a nice bed and enough storage, super clean. The staff was really friendly, especially the housekeeping ladies, I had one request and they acted immediately with no further questions and kept a smile on their faces, amazing :)

I had issues with water when taking a shower, The temperature was changing to hot and cold all the time and pressure too. Another thing is, there is no toilet brush which I find weird and hangers in the wardrobe are locked, I do understand reasoning but putting a bigger jacket on it is not easy. They are small issues which could be easily fixed :)

Excellent choice on offer, delicious fresh fruits, selection of melon, raspberries, strawberries etc, amazinzing cooked breakfasts too.

All aspects , bar, lounge and dining. Reception , from arriving, all staff very friendly, nothing was too much trouble and we'll above standard. Beautiful setting. Dunfermline is a beautiful city , very historical. A must to visit the Abbey and to explore the Glen's in Pitencrief park. Just wonderful.
