Hotel Rahat palace made sure we had a comfortable stay and provided everything we requested for. It was my daughter's birthday, they prepared a delicious cake and let us do photoshoot in the front garden. The Jacuzzi and swimming pool is awesome, newly renovated. Rooms are decent, with all amenities. We enjoyed the grandness of the architecture, heritage decor, restaurants and hospitality. Overall, a really satisfying stay.

Lovely welcome at checkin. Room was clean and tidy. Welcomed with fruit and chocolates. Beds very comfortable, Breakfast was fantastic, Everything you need for a good start to the day. The swimming pool and changing facilities are fantastic. Newly renovated.

I believe that the hotel is gradually being redecorated. The furniture and carpets have seen the best of their days. Need replacement. Also all hotels should have power outlets with USB connectors so hopefully they will include those in their renovations.

Love the way this hotel is built. Very thoughtful. Beautiful building. Clean and tidy to the highest of standards. Best place in almaty for all kinds of travellers.

Breakfast - my recommendation is that since this hotel is visited by many international travellers. Especially from South East Asia. They should have more varieties of breakfast options too choose from

Very comfortable bed and i loved the bathroom. The room itself was very big and clean, the view to the mountains was spectacular! Breakfast is suitable for vegetarians. Didn't see to many restaurants in walking distance, be ready for taking a taxi ride or walk, however the restaurant downstairs is good.

My room didn't lock, in fact i couldn't lock the door properly after closing it. Really wasn't in the mood for sorting it out, but I'd assume to have it fixed for this kind of room. I didn't like the coffee at the breakfast restaurant, but this might be a matter of taste

The Room was an upgrade due to a clerical error and was super. The breakfast offered a large choice of food to suit all kinds of diets. The pool is beautiful, clean and spacious. The water in the jacuzzi was too hot.

The service in the restaurant on the ground floor was very slow. Over 30 minutes to wait for a sandwich.

I liked almost everything: excellent food (at breakfast and at dinner in the lobby restaurant), friendly and helpful staff, spa facilities and personnel, room facilities.

The chairs in my room 1016 looked (and most likely were) shabby, with old spots which either were not cleaned or still remained after cleaning. The light curtains on the window, originally white, were gray of soot coming from the outside as the air in the city is polluted. These observations do not match five-star rated facilities, especially when it is anticipated that the hotel management should know about this issue (air pollution) but do not bother to clean the curtains as often as needed to keep them at least moderately white.

The cleanness of the room was really good. Both their breakfast and the dinner option (at a beautiful place in the middle of the hotel) were good. The swimming pool with a jacuzzi were also really great.

Nothing I can remember. I would totally recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to travel to Almaty.

Very friendly and responsive to the guests' needs staff. Spacious room, bed, bathroom. Good choice of news channels both Russian and English speaking. Quite stable (except for one night) wi-fi. Spectacular SPA with mini aquapark. Fantastic masseuse (a tiny woman with powerful skills named Gousur I think). Premium class breakfast catering to all needs with menu slightly changing every day which is great when you stay over one week... Grill restaurant dependending on the chef and the waiter. I recommend a great dish of horse steak prepared by Sasha - a real masterpiece!

Some of the spaces and equipment are a bit outdated. The most frustrating thing was the demagnetizing of the keys. OUt of the whole week on one day the system worked, otherwise you had to go back to the reception to have the keys work... Mixed competency level of the staff. Most are super professional but some can be really arrogant or even irresponsible e.g. the young guy at the swimming pool. Instead of asking the guest to leave 15 minutes before 10 pm he just switched off the light!

Amazingly comfortable place to stay in a busy city. Great hotel rooms, sound proof, great climate control and black out curtains. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Everything you need in one place. Amazing view. We loved all the facilities.

The staff could be more helpful, quicker, or more friendly. We loved the concierge man! Some of the food we tried was not up to the standard we expect at a 5star hotel. Cant complain with the price.

As this was my second stay in the hotel, the manager upgraded my room for free from Standard to King de lux which was a very pleasant surprise!!! The location is great - a metro station is within walking distance (about 6 minutes). The bathroom was in excellent condition as before. We were given drinking water and fruits/cookies on a daily basis, and the egg fryer Anjela with her shining smile and friendly attitude made breakfasts even better!
