The rooms are large and clean. Loved the indoor pool/hot tub/ gym. The bar in lobby is nice with a nice bartender (Carsen) the other restaurants/bars I didn't try. The location is perfect for walking to Heavenly gondola, shopping, restaurants and casinos if you're into that sort of thing. The lake is a short walk away as well. I would stay here again and I found the staff to be very kind and accommodating.

We did have an issue with the lock on our room so they moved us to another room and the heater didn't work in that room. Third room worked great. A little hassle, but the staff was very kind and helpful.

We had a premium king room and it was well appointed clean updated. The facilities itself are a little dated and the teal just makes it look cheap. I realize it's one of their predominant colors in their branding, but they should've went with a more royal blue or a lighter blue that they use throughout the facility it just made it feel cheap And a little dirty and it wasn't. It was very clean. There were a lot of hidden fees I booked and it said all taxes and fees were included, but it ended up being another $92 so it really wasn't a good value and I would not have booked. Had I not had to pay $92 in additional taxes and fees that did not include the deposit at $75 at night that they don't tell you about until you check in

If I hadn't had an excellent stay somewhere else in the same town the week before, my review may be different. It's hard to give a view independent from that experience. My first night at Margaritaville was disappointing: Firstly the room description was incorrect on the main hotel website (booking.com I think is ok). There is no washing machine or dryer in the King Suites. There are 2 machines on the 8th floor and you have to pay to use them. Then I ordered room service as I was really tired and it was a bit of a disaster. Half was missing, no drink and then no answer (repeatedly rang out until just cut out) when calling to find out what to do. Eventually reception told me I shouldn't have ordered an alcoholic cocktail for room delivery - even though the hotel app allows it. But then an apologetic server appeared with one 10mins later... but still no rest of the food... The advertised features like the outside bar, smores over fires weren't available. The breakfast cafe is only open at weekends. The options from the coffee shop are limited and their food wasn't really to my taste. Apart from the issue re room service, the staff were very cheerful and helpful. My general feeling of the hotel was very much form over function. It's a really, really pretty hotel but not enough thought has gone into how people actually use it. Based on the surprised reactions to my 6 night stay, I suspect it's primarily used for 1 or 2 nights so the lack of simple things like washing up capability, bin (trash) bags, shelf in shower etc etc may not be an issue for a quick stay. If prices were comparable I would choose the Hilton over Margaritaville if I return. But if there was a significantly better price at Margaritaville I would probably go back. Again it was just a few small things that made it not as great as the Hilton. If I hadn't been there just before, I may not have noticed.

We enjoyed everything about the property! The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Movie night was awesome, the S'MORES by the fire were a nice touch, and the steakhouse, wow! we had some truly delicious food. A great experience all around!

Disappointed with Room Assignment Despite Availability At check-in, I specifically requested a front-facing room and—more importantly—a room near the elevator, as my wife had a minor ankle injury. To our surprise, we were assigned Room #814, which was not only on the top floor but also the farthest possible room from the elevator. To add to the frustration, the view was of Harrah's parking lot—certainly not what we had hoped for. What made it more disappointing was finding out afterward that there were plenty of rooms available. This experience left a bad first impression and made the start of our stay far less comfortable than it should have been.

Surprised at the upscale facilities. No plastic glasses or coffee cups. first rate towels, sheets and two bathrobes (wow). Monday Morning Cafe served buffet breakfast AND cook prepared eggs anyway you wanted them as a plus. Land Shark restaurant had first rate food from crab cakes to fish tacos. Multiple Margaritas. Steak and Fish restaurant High end but steaks well worth it. The staff went out of their way to take care of us. All are two room suites. Room 249 is a special 6 person suite.

Really tough to find the place. Tiny driveway, literally right next to Harrah's, No street signs. Resort is back away from street. The Margaritaville van is visable from street, but, drive slowly as you approach Harrah's or you will miss driveway and have to go all the way around to try again. We had to walk to gamble, but not very far. Resort is on California side of Stateline. No free access to any beach.

Unbeatable location, next door to the casinos, bars and restaurants. Hotel was beautifully decorated, light & airy! Our room was also spacious with a lovely bathroom, good TV and WI FI connection. Looked fun facilities for families Friendly service at breakfast, which was also very good. Walking distance to the Lake

-On our second day, we requested, soap and/ or a refill to the fixed body wash bottle, which had been empty, plus housekeeping, but nothing happened, despite tipping on the previous day. Used the shampoo instead, not good. -Communal areas needed vacuuming/cleaning

Loved the water cascade preserved during reconstruction- a lovely feature in this dry climate. Loved having a room on same floor as the pool. Did not get to try movie watching from the pool. Actually quite good food & room service. A lovely place to stay during the season.

Pity there is no constant ski valet. Marriott charges a huge premium for proximity to the gondola. The Margaritaville is only 4-5 mins walk and much cheaper because it takes another 5 mins to carry your skis and boots inside the hotel. They should all be available from a kiosk, gondola-side. Otherwise a lovely, friendly hotel that I miss very much!

This was our fourth time to stay at a Margaritaville. This one was the largest one. The rooms were spacious, and the pillows and beds were comfy. We left around 7:30 this morning and were the only ones at valet which was nice.

The flyer we were handed at check-in said that there would be daily light housekeeping. No one came on our second day. We had to ask for wash clothes and towels to bathe last night/this morning. On our last night, we asked for our vehicle from valet. It took 46 minutes before we received our vehicle. It was so crazy from people checking in that no one knew who was in charge of retrieving my truck. So glad we didn’t have reservations anywhere.

This hotel was one of the greatest surprises of our road trip, we booked it very last minute mainly due to the very interesting price and we got an incredible room/small apartment, with bath robes, separate dining/living and bedroom, super comfy beds in a warm and nice atmosphere where everything was spotlessly clean. It was very well located to explore the incredible surroundings of Lake Tahoe and it suited our family of 4 very well. The café next to the hotel had also incredible nachos that they would also bring to the room! All in all we enjoyed it very much.

I think while the gym was very well equipped, the swimming pool was bit too small and crowdy which did not fit the rest of the experience, I would expect a better swimming pool facility in such a resort!

The all suites hotel means your room is huge and lovely. We had a couple in our group of 12 ‘upgrade’..don’t do that. No need! Our room was $150 cheaper and there’s was higher floor but an ada room. So shower curtain not nice glass like ours. Anyhoo, the chill out bar is cool when it’s open, love the happy hour and live music. Free shuttle for dinners out was lovely!!!

The pool and hot tub was not usable for us. The icky foam on top of the spa is gross. Too many kids I guess. Maybe add a hot tub on the patio outside the indoor pool and make it adult only. Bc after a day on the slopes we very much missed being able to hot tub. Also the tile in there is SO dangerous. Watched a guy slip- and had to hop up to ensure he was conscious- super scary. I think you need something on that patio outside. Not relaxing to have 35 kids splashing and icky water. Shuttle only runs 4pm fyi
