Very clean inside, cosy bed. Nice breakfast.
The breakfast staff were under pressure, breakfast finished at 10 am, 9-20 they ran out of orange juice, we asked for some and was told they had ran out, so we could pay for it at the bar!! The tea arrived, we had to ask for milk, then toast( twice), toast arrived half way through breakfast. Could be doing with a good clean outside, and flower pots sorted, would help the outside.

Quick and easy check in and check out, room had everything you could want... ironing board and iron, hairdryer, nice table and 2 chairs in the room, ideal for getting a bit of work done or just sitting down for a cup of coffee.
Wasn't an issue for me since I could use the hotspot on my phone, but the WiFi in my room was a bit hit-and-miss... wouldn't knock off any points for that though, could well have been down to a network provider issue rather than the lodge's WiFi signal.

The room was big and spacious and the evening meal I had plus the breakfast was delicious. I was travelling solo from Mayo to Kilkenny and wanted to just stop overnight to break my journey on the way down. This hotel perfectly suited my needs. I already recommended it to friends and family as a great place to stay if travelling across Ireland or if you wanted to explore the surroundig area. I would absolutely stay here again.
There was nothing I didn't like.

The food and service was outstanding...there was a function in the back....and everyone mingled in and out of bar area...it's been a long time since I have seen staff so friendly and hardworking.the staff make this place very special...and they are young..a gem of a hotel.
Water in shower was tepid in the morning. That's the only fault I could find...

Great area and views, even though it was raining, room also very good. Manger was very helpful offering to bring in our luggage.
While the service at dinner was quick and good once ordered, no one came back to ask for order in a reasonable time and had to chase staff to ask to place order and to pay bill, breakfast the opposite in and out quick .

Beautiful location with superb service. Rooms are very comfortable and the food was excellent. The atmosphere in the venue was great with lots of local people and visitors mixing with a lively, friendly feel throughout. The staff were so obliging - nothing was too much trouble! We really could not find fault with this place as our group enjoyed a great night together. Breakfast was delicious and service was flawless. We would all highly recommend this gem of a spot !

Awesome!!! Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed ! We were really pleased with our stay at the "Moycarn Lodge & Marina" as it is a very nice hotel with all the facilities needed. Extremely clean and neat room. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and manager. Staffs were very friendly and professional. All the staffs are a true sample of excellent hospitality. The environment was peaceful and beautiful. It was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. Excellent food. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine dining. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding. The service is unmatched. Highly recommended and extremely happy to stay again 😊

Everything really, but especially the friendly and very helpful staff.
This is such a small little thing, it's feels almost silly to mention it, but worth a note to housekeeping: The individual milk cartons on the tea tray are not real milk. They're some kind of vegetable substitute which makes the tea taste weird!

Was in Ballinasloe at a conference in another hotel, where I could not get a reservation. What a stroke of luck. I stayed in the Moycarn Lodge & Marina Hotel. What a fantastic location, at the moorings on the River Suck. It is a small intimate hotel but what it lacks in size it makes up for in all other departments. Had a few enjoyable drinks in the bar, breakfast in the dining room. All staffed by efficient, friendly and welcoming people. The room was huge with a wonderful view of the river. Bed was comfortable and the place was so quiet as it is built well back from any roadway. It was my first time in Ballinasloe but not my last and I will make sure that the Moycarn Lodge & Marina will be where I will stay.
There was nothing not to like. Just an observation which I passed onto management. Rooms got a little warm due to the radiators being hot during the night. I cured this by opening the window. I am sure that the fitting of thermostatic valves would be a more efficient and certainly less expensive way of controlling heat.
