Well kept unit, very spacious and extra clean rooms. The manager very friendly, welcoming and eager to help and support every demand and need. We mentioned him a couple of things we would like to see repaired, and repaired they were in no time. Staff more than pleasant, polite, smiley, inviting. The gate keeper, Yona, is a great personality and a nice person to chat with, also keen to show you around and escort you at night should you feel uncomfortable in your first night walk. Breakfast is good and the staff is flexible enough to meet your special needs.

A bit of a problem walking back from the Main Street, due to dust road and lack of public lights, however, there are sporadic lights from private properties and overall in the entire island you don’t get the feeling of being unsafe. Water pressure was very low in one of our rooms

small and familiar stay. We loved the fact that it was so quiet. We loved the restaurant. We had dinner there almost every night. The food takes a while to be done but it is incredible and for a very good price!!!! Breakfast was also very good.

The rooms are simple but good size and comfortable. The only problem was the low water pressure for the shower and the lack of hot water. The bath towels could also be replaced by new ones as well. Little improvements that could make a big difference. The walk to the beach is not long but through muddy streets. We saw a lot of smelly trash on the floor on the way to the beach which is not pleasant. The beach is amazing but the way to get there is not.

The rooms were excellent. Great air conditioning as well as the ceiling fan. Very large rooms as well as the bathroom with toilet. The pool was large and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was the best we have had in a hotel!!! Fresh fruit and juice, great coffee and eggs any way you want. As well as great food in the restaurant!!! The staff were excellent, helpful and, smiling and lovely. Finally a thank you from all our huge family to the owner who we asked after check out to just leave our bags somewhere and just use the pool because we were leaving at 9:00pm for the airport, he gave us a room to leave the suitcases and use it normally until we leave (shower, lie down) and even free of charge!!! You are excellent

This place was perfect for our stay in Zanzibar. It was safe, clean, and a beautiful spot to relax. Mahantesh (AKA, the owner) was attentive to all our needs and ensured that we had arrangements any time we left the property, if we wanted them. The place was clean and meals were always available if we wanted them. We arrived at night and at first I was concerned that the area was not safe because the roads leading to the hotel are narrow and it’s next to a local neighborhood that, in my American/privileged mind, didn’t “look” safe in the dark. I was quickly reminded of my own privilege and luxury and how easy it is to set those expectations for the rest of the world. My attitude changed quickly in the morning when I saw the beauty of the place. The owner walked with some of us, through the neighboring local village - and while it looked dramatically different than my version of a neighborhood, I never felt unsafe or unwelcome. Happy children were running around in the midst of mommas doing laundry and other household chores, so many glimpses into local Zanzibar life as we wound through dirt path “streets” to the local main road on the way to the ATM. It was one of my favorite experiences there. We quickly felt at home on the narrow roads, walking to the beach or main road for a ride to another part of Nungwi. The roadside shops were a place we enjoyed visiting and spending our money on products that people were excited to share with us. Those shops close to the hotel were much more pleasant to shop at than the high-pressure sales of those close to the beach. The walk to the beach was about 7 minutes - it was really nice to have easy access to the sand, water, restaurants and entertainment, but then be able to go to a quieter place when we were ready. The hotel is gated and secure. If we had any issues with our rooms such as hot water or trouble with the TV, someone looked into it immediately.

We arrived in the dark and our group was large. I was not prepared to tell our driver exact driving directions, but the owner knew we were coming and spoke with our driver on the phone to get him as close to the property as possible. The roads surrounding this place are tight so our big vehicle couldn’t pull up to the front door. But, the owner had arranged for some local folks to help with our luggage and it went very well.

Where do I begin Mahantesh the owner was amazing. He and his wonderful staff made sure that all our requests were achieved. There was a brief period where me and my wife craved South Indian food, Mahantesh provided us with amazing South Indian food. The staff were helpful throughout and smiley throughout.

The roads leading to the property is rough and bumpy so please be careful and walking through the night can be scary as there is limited lights leading to the property.

The level of service and care from the staff and the manager of the hotel is exceptional. Mr Mahandesh goes above and beyond to help his guests have the perfect stay and feel at home in the hotel. For people not insisting on staying by the beach, the location is good, about 15-20 min walk to the closest beach, 6ish minutes walk to the main road with shops. Otherwise the place is clean and comfortable and the hotel also features a reasonably priced restaurant so one doesn't need to go out to look for food. Definitely recommend and would stay again! The property also has a generator and a good wifi - good enough to support e.g. teams calls.

A lovely, clean hotel located less than 10 minutes from a beautiful beach and a short walk from the centre of Nungwi. The family room was very spacious with a well equipped kitchenette and a smart TV. An extensive menu of food could be cooked to order from the hotel’s restaurant. The host personally ensured we had everything we needed and all of the staff were so attentive and friendly. - they even offered to walk us into town on our first day and walk us at night in the dark. The breakfast of fruit, pancakes, eggs, toast and fresh juice was served every morning and the room was cleaned and bedsheets and towels changed daily. We really enjoyed relaxing in the pool area. We cannot fault this hotel at all - thank you for a wonderful stay!

The staff was very helpful and organized us a cheap transportation and anything we needed. You can wash your laundry there. The Manager is always interested that the guests feel good. My Phone got in contact with oceanwater and he helped me a lot to get it repaired, also when we already were in stonetown. The room was clean, the AC good and if you want they clean the room everyday and change the bedsheets. The food in the Restaurant was good. You can eat a lot of fruits, italian and indian food. The Pool was clean.

The Start was not so good because the Manager called us and told us that we have to stay at another hotel for the first night because other guests stayed longer (Problem with the flight). In the other Hotel the room was not so comfortable so it was a downgrade (for 1 night ok), but the staff and food was good. Sometimes the Manager doesn't talk so friendly with his staff but we know this from other accomondation as well. The road to the Resort was not good but it was like all other roads there. So it's better to take a driver/taxi and not to rent a car, also because a lot of streets in Zanzibar aren't good. The matress/bed were a little hard but was okay.

6 of us made an extremely last minute booking to stay in this hotel and the manager couldn’t have been more accommodating. The hotel rooms are beautiful, the staff are all brilliant and the pool is fab. It is an ideal location, 10 min walk from the beach. Breakfast is delicious. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more !
