Scenery, the pub/ bar was lovely , service brilliant comfortable bed , loved that they put a bowl in for the dog in my room , it was a cosy room . Staff were helpful in hotel. A relaxed hotel. Reception with fire was lovely , homely. Real Scottish feel about the hotel and the pub.

I think if dogs are to be accepted , there should provisions to have breakfast , that youve paid for, such as in bar , and not expected to leave your dog in car in minus conditions. Although I was very happy with supplied packed lunch but I do enjoy a home cooked breakfast when away, its like a treat .The staff are lovely and friendly but contradictory information , such as asked about bar being open ,in hotel and was told 6 , when came in to hotel at 5.30 the doors were closed another member said it was shut and couple other things too of similarities. If ur also gping to supply a jacuzzi bath, this should be in working order.

We felt very welcome as soon as we arrived. Hotel is very traditional in decor and is in keeping with the style of building and the local area. Room was spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us. We even found a little birthday gift of local ales in our room after we mentioned we were there to celebrate my husband's birthday. This was very thoughtful and much appreciated. We loved the bothy bar, very relaxing. The food on both evenings was very nice and plentiful. Breakfast was also very nice with lots of variety.

If I had to be very picky there were only 2 points I thought could be addressed. The pressure on the shower is very low. Also as dogs are not allowed in the dining room ( they are allowed in the bar when it is open) my husband and I had to take turns going for breakfast. There was suggestions of leaving the dog in the car but this is not practical for us as the dog gets quite distressed being in the car on her own. I must stress however that these points did not overly impact my stay and I would return regardless.

Atholl Arms is a genuinely nice place to stay. You get a friendly welcome and everything is clean and comfortable The bar and waiting staff are exceptional, very attentive and friendly whilst being efficient at the same time and the food served is wonderful. There are great cooks in that kitchen. The breakfast was superb Our wee dog was made welcome. Yes, this hotel could do with a bit of updating but it all adds to the charm and in this day and age, the busyness of the Atholl Arms Hotel tells me a whole lot of other folk think the same

This hotel has the most amazing shared spaces; the dining room is like a grand hall with open fire and minstrels gallery - all beautifully decorated for Christmas - and the lounge is so cosy also with an open fire and lots of leather couches. Our room was quite small and quite dated - could definitely do with a new mattress - although the brand new bathroom was very nice! We booked the cheapest room and from the glimpses we caught of other rooms would definitely recommend paying a little more for a lot more space. Regardless - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and would happily return.

The location was super. Nice and quiet and a convenience store nearby as well as a craft brewery.. The train went right past our room, however you hardly noticed it. The included breakfast was wonderful and the staff were all great! We ate a meal in the dining room and the meal was good as well.Seemed like a nice pub as well,however it was hard to get a drink when we tried, so we just enjoyed a, whisky of ours in the lobby which had a great ambience.It is an older property that could maybe use a bit of a freshening up,however there really was nothing to complain about at all..It also had a fantastic beer garden it looked like, however it was rainy and not open during our stay

It is a marvelous building with a nice Victorian touch. Nice pub wit friendly staff and a dining room with wood fires like you've never see before. The building is almost 200y old and lots of details are also antique. So, if you see reviews about things about the hotel that we're maybe outdated or even malfunction, that's it... How nice to stay in a monument in these days of chain hotels. Thank you again for your Friendly welcome and service, good pubfood, quality breakfast. We loved it.....

Everything was acceptable. Some things were a bid tired but come on, what a nice experience!

Great location in centre of town. Lovely big room with four poster bed and huge bathroom with jacuzzi bath which was a lovely bonus to have a bath after a busy night catching up. Good options for breakfast and a tasty meal had in the bar too

Hotel in bits is showing its age. Some decor is old fashioned with cracks and damp patches seen in some places. Could do with some renovation work which I know won’t be cheap or easy due to age of building. Room was very hot on arrival and some windows couldn’t be opened to help lower the temperature

This hotel really is what foreign visitors to Scotland expect ..lots of tartan and stag heads! We loved the character of this hotel and the history. The staff were lovely and so helpful. The hotel was spotless, there was always someone out cleaning or hoovering. Location was fabulous..great base to explore Cairngorms and some really beautiful trails nearby. We did the trail at Blair castle and even spotted red squirrels ..wonderful moment.

We felt the bothy bar within the hotel could be doing with a better range of drinks. We had dinner at the bothy bar and we felt the certain elements were rushed eg chips could have been cooked longer however this a small detail and food was still lovely and hot none the less.

Perfect location right next to the station. The staff were very genial and friendly - I was given a free upgrade to a better room. Lovely lounge area with a roaring wood fire. A building full of character with lots of local and historical ambience. The Bothy Bar was open in the evening for good food and nice local beer.

The sash window in the room had long ago lost its cords, meaning that I needed to find something solid to prop the window open with at night. The cooked breakfast was ok but not brilliant.

We arrived very late and were delighted they could offer us dinner at nearly 9pm. So grateful to be able to park right out the front. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bath-towels were really big and fluffy. Breakfast was excellent. I just wish they had a coffee machine to make proper coffee :-)

The pillows could be a little plumper but we have no real complaints. A shelf or cabinet top in the bathroom to put toiletry bags would be good. Could hear the footprints from people upstairs but it is an old building with wooden floors so that is probably quite expected.
