The hotel is very centrally located yet serene inside and the room was well laid out with a nice balcony view to the hills. The staff were very friendly and kind - particular thanks to James (x2), Amber, Mone and Yang who were all very helpful making sure our stay was comfortable. They organised trips for us to the caves and waterfall as well as providing a complimentary buggy service to restaurants. The Mekong Sunset Cruise led by Asri was an absolute highlight and a must do. Last but not least, the breakfast quality and service was outstanding.

It was quite expensive compared to the properties we stayed in Vietnam and Cambodia, but this is may be driven by Laos/Luang Prabang pricing for premium properties.

Large spacious hotel in central location. The night market is a step away from the hotel but you would never guess as the hotel retains a private and quiet air. There is a central courtyard which contains the pool area, flanked by reception and the restaurant on two sides and the rooms on the other two sides. Breakfast is varied and starts early which is convenient if you have an early tour. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Please use their sunset tour service. It was perfect and worth every cent. I would recommend you have a good camera on hand to take some fantastic sunset scenes.

The rooms look on to the pool side. Privacy is maintained with exterior wooden shutters but some curtains would be helpful during the day to let light in and maintain privacy. To be fair, the windows are protected by individual patios.

This is a relatively new hotel and everything is well thought out and comfortable. The room was big and bright. The pool is enormous with plenty of seating around it. The location is very convenient for the town as it’s right on the doorstep. Breakfast was fabulous. The staff are helpful and polite. It has a great gym but unfortunately we didn’t have the time to use it.

We loved everything about the property and would stay again. The tours and pick up/drop off to the airport/station are expensive.

This is an aesthetically beautiful hotel in an ideal location. The beds are gloriously comfortable, the balcony overlooking the pool cool and relaxing. Everything you need is at hand and well designed. The staff and services are friendly and efficient. A real gem.

The only bug for me, who has very bad eyesight, was figuring out how to turn the main lights up to see in my bag. Hint - its on a dimmer to turn on and hold down until the desired light level is achieved.. Such a tiny point but it flummoxed me - haha!

Great location, less than a minute to night walking street. Still, environment is quiet. You can call buggy everywhere in the city. Great staffs ; 5 stars service. Good choices of breakfast too

There was a small incident where my parents room smelled like paint when we first checked in. So the staffs upgraded both of the rooms for us. So that was a great gesture. Apart from that, all is great.

Location was great, and we loved biking around the town on the bikes provided by the hotel. It was also easy to walk from the hotel as well. The food was mostly outstanding, the staff very friendly with excellent English. We loved the architecture and layout of the hotel, and the pool was amazing.

The hotel allows day guests to use the pool. We were unlucky on one day with a group of four who were loud and a bit rowdy.

Hotel is across the street from the night market and within walking distance to the major sights. The hotel assisted us with booking tours that were reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was varied and generous. But the best part of the stay was the kindness and friendliness of the hotel staff. They took time to get to know us and went above and beyond in helping us. One person even accompanied me to the post office to mail a package home. We look forward to a return visit.

The location is excellent, with the river front, shops, night market and restaurants all within a few minutes walk. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms comfortable and breakfast was table service and high quality. The swimming pool was a welcome option in the afternoon

Very expensive! There was little wrong with the hotel, but would expect to pay a third of the price in Thailand or other SEA countries - let alone Lao - if you get the right price, it's a great place to stay..

Beautiful Boutique hotel in the best location of Luang Prabang. Amazing team, and very good food. The design is really impressive!

Pool temperature was very cold, even for the summer. Lack of spa facilities, a bit on the expensive side, and the breakfast buffet is limited. Restaurant was small, not many options for dining, the bedding in the room was average. Doens't feel completely like a five-star hotel, and it was very hard to communicate with the team as their English language was not clear.

Location is great, in the middle of old town, close to the night market. The hotel is full of facilities as you can expect from Avani. Staff were nice, they try to response us all things we request. Breakfast was excellent, I love that you can do the cold pressed juice yourself. Air condition in our room was broken at night, the staff has changed the room for us immediately. Even it was not convenience to move the room but I appreciate how they try to fix problem.
