Breakfast was great. The lady who was there in the evenings in the weekend was very helpful. Great parking facilities, The shared kitchen was great

My bed could have been more comfortable- the other beds in the room were comfortable. The shared kitchen could be supplied with common cooking ingredients like Salt,, pepper - even the shakers could have been good. Oil, sugar would also help. More medium size saucepans could help too

Nice comfortable room. We had a 4 person quad which had two bunk beds and an ensuite. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Fresh towels were provided. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. There is also a balcony with tables and seating. It is about a 25 minute walk to the Altstadt from the hostel but there is also a bus or you can rent bikes in the city. Also the opposite direction there are swimming areas at the lakes which we were delighted to discover about 5/6 minutes away by bike.

No self catering facilities. We would really have like a fridge and a kettle.

It was a very quiet location, a bit further out from Salzburg downtown but still walkable, about 30 mins to get to downtown. It was basic but had everything we needed. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast included was really comprehensive and good, they even offered a packed lunch for us as we had an early flight.

No fans in summer means it is very hot in the room even with windows open. The shower flooded when we were there as it is very shallow, that is just a maintenance issue which they couldn't resolve as it was the weekend.

Location. 20 min walk from city center by walk. Drivers care about pedestrians. Bikes everywhere. Though railway station is nearby, it did not disturb our sleep. Breakfast was OK. Many things to choose from.

For Hand-wash to hair wash, a single small bar of soap is given per person. At start of breakfast orange juice was not available in dispenser. Later it was OK.

Kolpinghaus is rather sober, but it does everything you need from a hotel. It is clean, and the staff is very friendly. You can park easily at the hotel. The wifi worked well. Breakfast has plenty to choose from. The rooms are simple but large enough, clean and comfortable. The city is easy to reach on foot in about 30 minutes walk along the Salzach river. In all, surprisingly good value for money.

There really is nothing not to like about this place.

It's on the outskirts of the city and is a 25/30 minutes walk into the centre. (Pleasant walking along the river) Which you may need to consider.. for my 3 nights in question it wasn't that quiet.

Lovely big clean room with mountain views. Great selection of tasty breakfast food. Nice walk into town along river.

Location was a little far from any restraunts, cafes or take aways if like myself you do not have a car and hostel kitchen is not too well equipped for so many people sharing if you want to cook yourself.

Good location, about 15 mins walk from the old town, 30 mins to the castle. No nonsense, everything is reasonable, well organized. The young staff is polite, kind and helpful. Even in a busy time and all kinds of guests from dog owners to families with lots of children, and us senior cyclists the place did not feel crowded (well, except maybe at breakfast, but that's expected). The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. There is plenty of places to sit outside on the terrace or the roof terrace. You can rent a cool box with a key. All in all very pleasant stay. We stayed 2 nights at the beginning and the end of our trip, 6 days apart, the 2nd stay when the Salzburg festival has just started. I was surprised that the price did not change, unlike in case of most other places I checked - thank you! greatly appreciated

Relatively good breakfast. Rooms were reasonably spacy and clean. We reached a bit earlier than the official check in time, but the room was already ready for us, so we could check in early. Also, the hotel was next to the Salzbach river, so it was nice walk by the river side to the town (if you like long walks).

The window of the room opened to a car park, which was often noisy in evenings and at nights. There seemed to be towels from previous users of the room left hanging in the bathroom. The room included only a tiny soap, and there was no shampoo in the shower room.

The breakfast was the same every day, but varied, so it suited us perfectly. We bought the Salzburg Card right at the reception, so we had free public transport and entry to the main attractions, only the cathedral was a lower price.

We have no negative comments.
